Chapter Text
“Hey Park!”
When Jimin heard the voice, he had to resist the urge to roll his eyes and kept walking. That alpha was truly unbelievably annoying.
“I know you heard me, gorgeous — wait up a sec!” said the alpha as he jumped off the bus and literally started chasing after the omega.
“I don’t have the energy to deal with you this early in the morning, Jungkook,” Jimin said without turning around. The mentioned alpha had already caught up and was now walking right beside him.
“You don’t have to deal with me, I’ll behave, Mr. President,” Jungkook replied, and even from his tone alone, Jimin could tell he was grinning.
He frowned, shooting the alpha a glare, but Jungkook only kept smiling like nothing could bother him.
“What do you want?” Jimin muttered, turning his gaze back toward the school gates. Jungkook meant trouble, the sooner he got rid of him, the better.
“Nothing,” Jungkook said casually, looking around for a moment before turning back to Jimin and stepping right in front of him. “Just wanted to say you look gorgeous this morning.” Then he winked at the omega who had come to a stop and walked off toward his group of friends, tugging his backpack strap.
This alpha… Was definitely going to be the death of him.
&
Everything had started when Jungkook transferred into Jimin’s class so he could be with his friends.
Even though Jungkook and Jimin had gone to the same school for years, the alpha had only noticed him for the first time when he joined his class.
And honestly, you couldn’t really blame him. Jimin… wasn’t exactly the social type. In fact, there had even been rumors that he didn’t exist outside of school.
Of course, that was nonsense. He was just too busy with his duties as class president and his studies to bother being social.
That day, Jungkook had walked into the classroom like it was his own house, arms swinging, loud and confident and fate, being the cruel thing it is, had placed him right behind Jimin.
And that was exactly how Jimin’s personal hell began.
Up until then, Jimin had lived a peaceful, quiet life: big glasses, soft-spoken personality, known as the class nerd. Everything was fine.
Until Jungkook came along and wrecked his peaceful little world.
Seconds after sitting behind him, the alpha had practically SHOUTED, “What’s that smell?” and then, realizing the sweet vanilla scent was coming from Jimin, had gently (well, not really) poked his shoulder.
When the omega turned around and their eyes met, Jungkook had exclaimed, “Holy shit!” loud enough for the entire class to hear.
From that moment, things got weirder and weirder between them.
Instead of spending breaks with his friends, the alpha had started using every recess to bother Jimin.
“How long have you been in this school? Are you new?”
“What do you mean you’ve always been here?! I’d remember seeing you!”
“Do you have a boyfriend?”
“Someone you like?”
“Well, now that I’m here, you can say you do.”
“I’m kidding of course… unless you wanna?”
The omega couldn’t, for the life of him, figure out why this ultra-attractive alpha had decided to pick him of all people to obsess over.
Since the day he arrived at his class, Jungkook had become like a persistent puppy that refused to leave his side. Jimin was convinced he’d lost his mind.
And he was doing everything he could to avoid him.
Why, you ask?
- Because it was Jimin’s last year of school, and he had no time to waste on relationships or on clingy alphas, no matter how ridiculously charming they were.
- Jungkook’s constant attention and the fact that he never shut up about Jimin had drawn the jealousy of every other omega in school. Suddenly, Jimin, who used to be practically invisible, couldn’t walk into the cafeteria without getting death stares from alpha’s other admirers.
- But mostly, Jimin just didn’t understand what Jungkook’s deal was. The alpha was easily one of the most handsome people he’d ever seen. Smart, talented, blessed with an unreal voice. He could have any omega he wanted. So why was he wasting his time chasing after someone who wouldn’t even look at him?
Still, none of that seemed to matter to Jungkook.
Every time he saw Jimin , no matter where, no matter when; he would call out to him, wave like an idiot, and run over.
In class, during breaks, he’d constantly find excuses to talk to him, to ask questions he already knew the answers to or to throw out compliments that made Jimin’s blood boil.
And when Jimin finally snapped and scolded him, Jungkook would just smile and say,
“I can’t help it — you’re so cute when you’re mad.”
And, honestly… Jimin’s defence was starting to crack.
If an alpha like Jungkook chased you for two months straight, your willpower would crumble too.
The compliments that he used to shrug off with annoyance were now starting to make his ears burn and his heart race just a little faster.
He needed to get rid of these feelings. Fast.
So, he decided to talk to the only person he knew who had any experience with relationships.
The most smug but also the most useful omega he knew — Kim Seokjin.
&
“Ah… So our dear alpha finally managed to make even you, the guy who only breathes textbooks, catch feelings.”
Jimin sat with his arms crossed, his expression unreadable.
“Are you going to tell me what to do, or are we just going to sit here talking about how hopelessly in love I apparently am?”
Jin was still laughing. “I just can’t believe you managed to resist that cute boy for two whole months, Jimin. You’re stubborn as hell.”
“I’m leaving,” Jimin huffed, standing up abruptly, but Jin grabbed his arm and pulled him back down onto the couch, still laughing.
“Okay, okay,” he said between chuckles. “But for a moment there, I honestly thought you were asexual.”
“Don’t be ridiculous, hyung. I just don’t have time for stupid games,” Jimin said without hesitation.
That made Jin’s expression sober instantly. “Games? What do you mean by games?”
Jimin averted his eyes. “Come on, you think Jungkook being this obsessed with me isn’t weird? It doesn’t make sense.”
“Why wouldn’t it make sense?”
“Because this has never happened to me before. There’s nothing special about me. I just don’t get it,” Jimin mumbled, voice dropping.
Jin stared at him for a second, then threw a pillow straight at his face.
“Are you an idiot, Jimin?”
“Hey!” Jimin barked, glaring.
Jin folded his arms. “Seriously, are you stupid? What do you mean you’re not special? Have you looked at yourself?”
Jimin sighed. “You’re my brother, hyung. Of course you’d say that.”
Jin cleared his throat dramatically. “Okay, first of all, let’s get one thing straight. You are not perfect in my eyes. You’re an annoying little gremlin.”
He caught the pillow Jimin was about to throw and continued, unfazed.
“Secondly, you’re gorgeous, responsible, smart, reliable! Basically, everything an alpha could want. Oh, and you’ve got an incredible ass.”
“Thank you for the unnecessary commentary about my ass,” Jimin muttered, glaring again. Then he sighed. “But if I’m really all that, how come no other alpha has ever shown interest in me in my entire school life?”
Jin burst out laughing. “Because you’ve got the resting face of a bitch. You never smile, Jimin. Any alpha who might’ve liked you probably got scared of you. Jungkook’s the only one stubborn enough to keep trying for two months straight.”
Jimin fell silent.
He knew he didn’t smile much, but was he really that intimidating?
He didn’t want to be. But maybe he was?
“Fine,” he said finally, dropping the pillow and leaning back. “Just tell me what I have to do to get Jungkook out of my head.”
But the grin that spread across Jin’s face made Jimin uneasy.
“Oh, I know exactly what you need to do.”
