Chapter Text
"That was quite rude... I expected us to have a enjoyable time together."
"Guess not."
Nagare whips out her starry parasol — at least it's still clean. She stabs it to her victims hands, the parasol making its way through the victims hands — just exactly how strong is this parasol? And what it is made of? The victim can only, in this current situation, let out a high-pitched yowl.
Tug.!
Nagare holds the victim by its chin, her emotionless eyes shining a invisible twinkle at him — now it's his time! He tries to scramble away, but, fate was not on his side.
"Do you know, what your purpose in life is? Let me demonstrate."
Such a sweet, emotionless, soft tone. Like she was soothing him.
Dead wrong.
The victim tried to lift himself up, but he can't do that without helplessly limping, also the minimal scraping against the neatly, patterned wooden floor, maybe he does have a chance! Yes! Yes!
Until,
Sliced in pieces.
Blood spluttered everywhere on the floor — Nagare feels bad that the JAA cleanup service have to take care of this mess. Deepest apologies.
"That's your purpose in life, may the Gods bless you."
If you're wondering what made the guy got to such a horrific death — it was by a bunch of twinkle shaped knifes. Not just a parasol.
"I think that's all for today... Now I have a little bit of freetime."
Nagare settles down, resting her knees, then proceeds to pack up — by packing up, it means putting her twinkle shaped knifes in a metallic, silver and black hued briefcase that Nagare always carries with. As the twinkle shaped knifes weigh 10 kilograms each. Despite its helpless size. "Maybe I should go get some pork cutlet after..." Nagare says, already daydreaming about her with pork cutlet, such a delicacy not to be wasted!
Until,
Tap, tap!
Huh?
"Hey, Aimi! Knew you could clear up all of these today."
Nagare gives a soft and faint, but small smile — Nagumo.
"Yoichi... Yes, I did manage to, although all of them were quite rude. They denied their fate by the Gods."
Nagumo, or should I say, Yoichi. Is the only person Nagare can be relaxed around with. Like her bottled emotions didn't have to matter. "Anyways, We got some freetime for now. Lets go out to eat lunch with Osaragi and Shishiba!"
"Osaragi!."
Nagare still faintly remembers when they were close friends — yet even made the big achievement to both join the ORDER together as new members.
They are still close though. No betrayals. Just friends being, friends.
"Sure... Although, we do we meet?"
Such a simple question.
"We're both going there together! It's a small little restaurant that sells authentic Japanese food. Including pork cutlet."
The two words, Pork Cutlet. Made Nagare eyes shine a bit of a twinkle — one of the rare times her eyes ever reflected back emotions to other peoples painted faces of their emotions. Nagumo gives back a laugh, maybe some positivity can work.
✦
"Osaragi.!"
Nagare gives a small smile, a twinkled star reflects in her eyes for a millisecond. Osaragi mouths opens a little, as she scampered to her close but old friend. As she approached Nagare, the only thing her mouth could roll out was,
"Aimi..."
And all her body has to give was a hug.
A long, tight squeeze of a hug.
"Ah, Its you two again, Nagare and Nagumo." Shishiba adds, tilting his head to his left. "Heyo! Shishiba!" Nagumo gives a swift, gesture of a wave, his mouth in a wide open smile whilst his eyes closed. "Shishiba, it's a pleasure to see you again." Nagare gives a tiny bow as a sign of respect. "No need to do that anymore, it's too formal to do around your friends." Shishiba rolls his eyes — Osaragi can only glance at his eyes.
"C'mon! No more bad energy guys! We are here for lunch remember? Is this the place?"
Nagumo's optimism may be too big to handle — even in tough situations.
"This is the restaurant infront of us I believe... Yoichi." Nagare points her finger to their left, her other hand holding tightly on her briefcase, the reflection of the sun bouncing off the black metal case.
"This place looks delicious!" Nagumo laughs. The first one heading inside first. Although while entering he had to slightly duck his head down — talk about being 190cm.
"Let's go in Aimi.!" Osaragi glances at the other, before heading in too, only leaving traces of her straight hair flowing with the wind.
"Sure. Don't leave Shishiba out too." Nagare slightly tilts her starry spectacles up before giving the faintest trace of a smile before heading in too.
"Don't worry about me, seriously, you're such a worry-wart." Shishiba sighes in annoyance, angling his head down, eyelids fluttered shut. but eventually walks in too.
✦
"The reason we are here is not for chitty-chat and messing around, by the way."
"Awww, come on! You always find a way to ruin the fun, especially when it's our break! You're such a partypooper, Shishiba!"
"Shut up or today is your last day."
Nagumo, Shishiba, Osaragi and Nagare all sat in the corner of the restaurant, before they had to talk about some business, lunch can never be missed, so they have to order first.
Apparently only Shishiba didn't order — talk about being the odd one out.
While munching and sipping, it was time for some business talk.
"Nagare, did you clear up the enemies today?"
"I did, Shishiba. Yoichi came when I finished." Taking a bite from her fork.
"Great. Be aware that there can be still enemies lurking here."
"Yes, Mr Shishiba." Osaragi glances at him before taking a sip.
Meanwhile while talking, and giving each other apparent death threats, a man hides in the corner of the restaurant. With poison. Specifically crushed up rhodendron petals — that should do the trick, right? He had already snuck into the kitchen before and putted the powder into Nagares pork cutlet. She should die for sure!
While listening, Nagare takes a bite out of the poisoned pork cutlet — but instead of panicking, she smiled, yes, I mean smiled.
"Aimi, whats wrong?... You're smiling..." Osaragi hesitantly asks, her eyes slightly widened, she barely, barely see Nagare smile. Although she herself, barely also smile.
"There's one more enemy lurking here. He was nice enough to leave behind my one of my favourites."
"Ainfnd whats that?"
"Crushed up rhodendron petals."
✦
"Wow! Crushed up rhodendron petals? Such a smartass, Nagare!" Nagumo laughs sarcastically, his face cracking a smile.
Nagare couldn't help but sigh, although her inner star found it quite funny but sarcastic, such strange feelings!
"Excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom." Nagare lifts herself up, her head eye-contacting with the wooden plated table.
The rest stayed silent, they already knew what was about to happen, but they didn't mind it — they killed people everyday.
Meanwhile, with Nagare she scampered to the bathroom, elegantly of course. Then prepares herself, which weapon should she use for this victim?
Hm.
Tough decision, huh.
Nagare decides to use her parasol. She didn't really use it today, only to stab someones hand and made a punctured hole. After preparation she trots to the back of the kitchen.
The storage room.
Nagare slides open the door, her starry spectacles giving a twinkle. "There you are... I almost thought you were too good at hide and seek." Nagare smiles, heartwarmingly. The victim points a gun at her. "Y-You bitch! Didn't the poison work on ya? You should be dead now!" The guy stammered. Sweat dripped down his forehead. "Language, please. The Gods can hear. Also, I think your crap is already enough." Nagare blows a strand of hair from her face.
"I think I will let the constellations decide your fate, I'm feeling generous today."
Nagare walks forward,
Step,
By,
Step.
Before the guy could even speak, nor pull the trigger, he realised,
Maybe his last words didn't matter anymore.
"Hopefully you will get a good fate..."
