Work Text:
Emily looked at the ruined neighborhood of Vee and took a deep breath. How many souls died from this cannon? How many people did she fail to save from death? How much blood is on her hands? Guilt gnawed at her. Serafimka looked at Charlie and the company, who were now completely happy, and the angel smiled. "Maybe it's not that bad?" The screams of demons echoed in my head. They cried out for help, begged for mercy, and just screamed in pain.
"How can you smile when so many souls have died?" Her inner voice reproached her, and her heart felt heavy, and tears appeared in her eyes.
"Emily! Charlie shouted.- Come to us!
The angel quickly wiped away her tears and wanted to fly up to them, but the wing gave off a strong pain. Hiding it, she just quickly ran up to the demons. The princess was having fun discussing something with her father as she walked slowly towards the hotel. Serafimka fell behind and looked at the ruins and her heart ached again. "It's her fault..."

Alastor looked proudly at his microphone and the remnants of the former Vee neighborhood. He managed to kill three birds with one stone. Get rid of two deals and fix the cane.
"Isn't that wonderful?"- he laughed merrily, but then his gaze was caught by an angel who was now sadly looking at the ruins and crying. A chill ran down my spine from recent events. Vox almost destroyed him with an angel cannon. His life was literally hanging by a thread if it wasn't for this girl... The radio demon shook his head.- So what if she saved me? I could have easily defeated Vox if it hadn't been for the dumb shark...
But no matter how hard he tried to convince himself of the truth, no matter how unpleasant it was. This angel saved him. A nasty feeling arose in my chest. Gratitude...
"Damn it."..

Emily didn't remember how much she hypnotized the area until someone's hands were on her shoulders. When she turned around, she saw a red demon with deer ears.
- What's with the dead look and the sad expression on your face? Smile, dear! Without a smile, you're like being naked.
"Oh, I'm sorry... Angel muttered, hurriedly wiping away the remnants of her tears.
- May I ask what made such a lovely creature sad? The demon asked curiously.
"These souls...- the girl looked around the area."They're dead...
- yes. So what?
"They're dead because I didn't have time to save them.".. If I had been firmer, if I had been more convincing in my words, if only... She sobbed, and tears began to flow from her eyes again."They would still be alive."..
The sinner looked at her and was perplexed. How can you worry about some dirty trash? They're all vile and disgusting creatures, and she's crying for them... "That's stupid..." Alastor grinned, but the grin quickly disappeared from his face. It's not stupid...
Angel felt a strange warmth, someone hugged her.
"It wasn't your fault what happened. They signed their own verdict when they decided to join Vox. Their choice is not your fault... If you grieve over how many lives you didn't manage to save, you won't be able to save those who need it...
His quiet voice was soothing and enveloping, and the pleasant crackle of radio interference was relaxing. Which is why Emily didn't notice how she lost consciousness. Too many things have happened in such a short period of time...

Alastor gently stroked angel's back, waiting for her to calm down. And at some point she became quiet.
"Feeling better?" He pushed her away from him and realized that the girl was unsteady on her feet. The radio demon carefully placed her on the ground."Is she dead?"
My heart stopped and squeezed painfully, and a tight knot twisted in my stomach. But when he heard a soft sniff, he exhaled.
- I just lost consciousness... Although this is not surprising... Poor thing...
The demon's gaze fell on the wing destroyed by the light, and her cry of pain sounded in her head again. Sighing, he gently scooped her up in his arms and disappeared into the shadows.

My body ached, and my head was buzzing uncomfortably. Barely opening her eyes, she was surprised not to see her pleasant blue ceiling. There was something maroon-red above it. When angel tried to sit up, she felt something strange. Turning around, Serafimka froze. Her wing was neatly bandaged.
"Where am I?" Emily said uncertainly, trying to make out something in the semi-darkness. Then the fireplace lit up, and the chair next to it turned around and someone was sitting in it. After taking a closer look, angel recognized him as her recent interlocutor.- Oh, hello! Em... I must have fainted... I'm sorry for causing trouble.
"It's okay. The sinner smiled, getting up and approaching her."How are you feeling?"
- I'm fine, thanks for the help.- She smiled affably and got out of bed."But I have to go to Charlie's."
- OK. I'll accompany you. The demon went to the coat rack and started pulling on his coat. For a moment, his face contorted into a grimace of pain.
"Are you all right?"
- It couldn't be better. The demon hissed. Adam's wound hadn't really healed, and now they also had a couple of fractures that were regenerating very slowly. It's a miracle that he can move at all.
"You're lying to me. Angel frowned, and then snapped her fingers."I remember! You're the demon that fought the shark! You must have been hurt a lot. May I...
- No! Alastor held out his hand."I can handle it myself." It's not my first one...
- OK... I won't insist, but... Can you let me help anyway? I can heal many wounds and it only takes a couple of seconds. A couple of seconds and you're healthy again.
The radio demon thought about it. Yes, it wouldn't hurt for him to recover, but could he trust her? "Are you kidding now?! At least she saved your life! I think she deserves at least a drop of trust!" An indignant voice rang in her head.
- OK. But only quickly.- the sinner sat down on the bed, and Serafim lit up with happiness.
"It won't hurt, I promise." She reached for the bow tie around her neck, but her hand froze in mid-movement."You'll let me, won't you?" Close physical contact is needed for treatment.
- what? Alastor tensed up.
"May I touch you?"- Emily explained, the deer froze. Asking for permission to touch? What kind of nonsense is this?
"Why are you asking?" You've already touched me.
- Yes, but now it's a different matter and maybe it's too personal for you, that's why I'm asking. Whether you will be comfortable.
"Do what you have to do. I'll take it. The demon rolled his eyes, but his ears instinctively pressed against his head.
Serafimka removed her bow tie and unbuttoned her coat, and slowly, as if afraid to scare her off, she began to put on her shirt. What she saw shocked her. There was a deep wound running across his chest, which was tied with green threads.
"How did you get it?""What is it?" she asked in a whisper, gently touching her chest. The sinner shuddered and, hissing, grabbed his arm.
"It doesn't matter. If you can heal, heal, and if you can touch, then look for someone else.
Angel blushed and looked away.
"Who do you take me for?" I would never...
Then Amy shook her head and dropped all her thoughts.
"Have I discovered your cunning plan, Serafim?" The demon chuckled, releasing her hand.
"Nothing like that. I'll just cure you and that's it! She quickly placed her palm on his chest, and it glowed with a silvery light. The sinner felt an unpleasant tingling and pain, but after looking at his wrist, the shark bit into it. I saw how slowly it heals until it disappears without a trace. Looking down at the wound left by Adam, he was disappointed. She was still there, but Emily didn't seem to be planning on just giving up. She squeezed her eyes shut and wrinkled her nose in displeasure.
"Uh.".. Seraphim? Alastor called out to her, feeling her starting to put more pressure on her chest.
"Quiet. Everything's going to happen now...- the girl hissed, continuing to press. Gradually, the deer realized that he was literally lying on the bed, and the angel was pressing on the wound with both hands. Even the eyes on the halo, chest, and sleeves opened from the strain. Then Emily pressed down on him with force, which caused something to pop and an energy wave went off from her.- Phew... It's been a while since I've practiced such spells... Everything is fine?
The radio demon raised himself slightly on his elbows and looked at his chest. There wasn't even a scar left...
"I..." he raised his head and faced the sky-blue eyes of an angel and fell silent, not daring to look away. Then the door opened with a bang and Charlie ran into the room.
"Alastor! Are you all right!? We felt a shockwave from your room and oh my God!!! The demoness covered her eyes with her hands."I'm interrupting you, I think.".. Go on, and I'm leaving.
"Charlie, stop! You... The door slammed.- I misunderstood everything...
Emily shifted her gaze to the demon that was currently under her and immediately jumped off him, blushing.
"I'm sorry. Sorry. Sorry.
Alastor got out of bed and pulled on a shirt.
"Don't apologize. I forgot to lock the door.
- I'm not for that... Angel muttered in embarrassment, lowering her eyes.
- And for what? The demon smiled mockingly, buttoning himself up."Because you decided to dominate me and put me to bed?" Do you like having a demon underneath you? Although you are an angel, you tend to look down on sinners...
- I'm not looking down on you! I didn't mean to belittle, it's just...
Alastor grinned and put his finger to her lips.
"Calm down, Serafim. I'm just kidding. Don't take it so personally.
- Then why say such words?- she was indignant, pouting her lips.
- I couldn't resist.- the sinner smiled and suddenly remembered something.- Oh, yes! We haven't really met properly. Let's start from the beginning. I'm Alastor. Radio demon and hotel manager.
The angel beamed and held out her hand.
"Emily, the youngest seraph of heaven, but you can call me Amy...
- OK... The demon gently picked up her hand and kissed it. Serafim blushed at the gesture and was embarrassed.
- Why is it so formal!?
- Respect is the least I can do to thank you for saving my life.
"It's not worth it. It's nothing!
Alastor's gaze fell on the bandaged wing.
- A wound inflicted by an angelic weapon is hard to regenerate, what can we say about an angelic light strike?
Amy lowered her head.
"It's okay...
"Angels can't lie." Can the wing be healed?
There was a tense silence in the room, and then she whispered.
- no. It's impossible. But...- Serafimka raised her eyes and looked at him with confidence."Even if I knew about it." I would have saved you again. My decision would not have changed.
The radio demon silently stared at her determined appearance. She was unlike anyone he had ever met before. Unshakeable confidence in his ideals. "This is worthy of reverence..."
- Emily's seraph. From this day on, I will follow you until I thank you for saving my life... He looked at the wing.- I promise that this loss will be the last one on your way...
