Chapter Text
It's been a couple of weeks since, well... everything. Whatever the hell happened with Vox, and with Heaven, honestly a lot it of it was a blur in your memories. But there was one part you definitely remembered. Or, well, one person.
You knew who he was. Vaguely. Abel, Adam's son and the new commander of the Exorcists. He was clearly very different from his father. And you recalled so vividly when he stood up to Lute, and broke up the fight between her and Vaggi.
And honestly, you couldn't help but think back on it, think back on him, and think to yourself, "Man, he was really pretty." Because, well, he was. He was pretty damn attractive. You could only hope nobody up in Heaven had already gotten to him.
But you probably were never gonna see him again. Why would you? You couldn't think of any reason he'd have to come back down to this literal hellhole. Which was disappointing. You were hoping to actually, properly meet him.
Actually, come to think of it, maybe you could.
Emily was spending a lot of time at the hotel. She could come back and forth from Heaven to Hell at her leisure. Maybe she could bring a guest with her sometime. And you were sure Emily would be glad to bring him along. You would just need to find an opportunity to ask without making it painfully obvious you had a crush.

Next time Emily came by, you took your chance.
"...Hey, Emily. Could I.. uh.. talk to you?"
Dammit, you sounded awkward as shit.
"Hm? Oh, sure! What's up?"
At least she didn't seem to care.
Now you were feeling embarrassed. How were you supposed to ask her for this? You fidgeted with your hands for a moment, hoping she wouldn't catch onto why you were so nervous.
"Geez- this is gonna sound like a weird ask-" You muttered under your breath, barely at a volume she could pick up on. She looked curious and a little confused, but waited for you to actually ask whatever it was.
"Uhh... Are you able to bring other people here from Heaven..?"
Wait, she probably thought you were gonna ask about Pentious.
"...Well, yeah, I guess I could. If you want to see Sir Pentious, I-"
You shook your head at the mention of Pentious. "N-no, not him.." Now you felt more awkward. How were you supposed to word this? 'That Abel guy who I've seen like once and never spoken to is really cute, could you bring him down to the hotel next time so I can try to talk to him?' You were going to sound like such a weirdo.
Emily was a little surprised that you weren't going to ask for Sir Pentious. But who else would you want to see?
"This is... This might sound random, but I'd.. I'd like to meet Abel.."
There. You finally said it. Now you just had to hope Emily wouldn't question it too much.
"Abel? Why him? You've never spoken." Of course she was going to ask why. Of course she couldn't just let you have this.
"Well... I guess, I saw him once or twice, and... I dunno, I thought he seemed interesting..." Maybe if you were lucky Emily wouldn't keep asking.
She didn't keep asking, but something about her expression shifted. She could tell there was something more to this than you just "finding him interesting". Not that she would point it out. But she knew.
"...Okay then, yeah, I could bring him with me next time."
You were so relieved that she didn't comment on the reason why. You could tell by the look on her face that she could probably tell, but you were glad she didn't say anything.
--☆--
You felt weird after that conversation. The whole thing felt painfully awkward. But at least, hopefully, Emily was going to bring Abel with her next time. At least you would get to actually formally meet him.
You had retreated to your room right after talking with Emily. Currently, you were laying in bed, thinking about how this was gonna go. Emily would bring Abel, you would hopefully not chicken out, go talk to him, and... then what?
You spent the rest of the day in your room imagining how the interaction would go between you and Abel. You laid in your bed daydreaming until the sun was set, and you honestly couldn't say you minded. It wasn't unusual for you to spend all day in your room.
Your daydreaming eventually turned into regular dreaming as you drifted off into sleep. You slept better than you had in a while, dreaming about your evental meeting with Abel. Was that weird? Probably.
Did you mind? Not at all.
