Chapter Text

                 Chapter 1

Things starting differently

Alastor had just recently met the man that seemed easy to lead on. Befriending the poor soul to gain power was an easy job for a man like Alastor. Trying to lead on a man that's hungry for power and dominace is never a good thing, but why would the strongest sinner care about that? Laughing in the face of the man was easy, afterall he asked Alastor to join him. Such a stupid idea to ask.

Vox leaves the bar soon after being rejected, promising to raise above such disrespect. Having a dream is one thing but getting to it is next level. For Vox, climbing levels is like climbing a ladder. You just need to find your way and climb up.

-Years later-

It'd been a while since everything that happened between Alastor and Vox. Alastor having stepped down and gone radio silent while Vox has climbed his popularity up. Vox being one of the biggest influencers in hell helps him a lot. Him hearing Alastor's return brings up bad memories, leaving a bitter taste in his mouth. After all the radio demon did hurt him mentally. Hearing the radio demon work with the princess of hell sends questions through Vox's mind. Why would that man work with the princess of hell if he's the strongest sinner? That question will have it's easy answers through Angel Dust.

It's another casual day in hell and in the Hazbin hotel. It's not busy due to it not being popular just yet. Tho Alastor doubts it ever getting popular even tho Charlie keeps hyping it up. Lucifer has been buzzing around too, pissing Alastor off quite fast. It's like Lucifer is trying on purpose to hit every single nerve off the radio demon. Charlie seems fairly happy to see her father more, dismissing what others may think about it.

Alastor spends most of his time avoiding the man but doing his work.

"Seems like the deer can't work with me, hmm?" The man teases as he caught Alastor trying to slip away once again.

That snarky comment just earns an eye roll and a huff from Alastor. He doesn't slip away just yet, waiting if the blonde gnome has something smart to say which is unlikely.

Lucifer just grins and leaves Alastor be for now. Not like he cares much about what the other one does.

Vox appears at the hotel a few days later, having that fake smile that still somehow fools Charlie and Lucifer. Vaggie's sitting a few feet away watching the scene with Niffty. Both of them know that whatever the man wants, isn't needed or good.

Vox dismisses the Morningstars, eyes searching for a certain someone before walking over to Angel Dust. He whispers something before leaving as fast as he appeared there. Whatever he said definitely wasn't good depending on Angel's facial expression.

Charlie tried to ask what's wrong with Angel and Husk did too but nothing. Lucifer who can't bear seeing his daughter so worried ends up having to find Alastor for his help.

As the man knocks on the door his thoughts run through his mind before the door opens. Alastor looks down with an annoyed gaze but still that dang smile.

"What can I do for you now?" He asks with annoyance in his voice, having clearly been interrupted.

Lucifer takes a deep breath before speaking up. "Vox visited and now Angel's gone weird."

Alastor clearly doesn't look interested or surprised by what he was told. The only thing in his mind being the door that would look beautiful closed.

"So.. I was wondering if you could help?" Lucifer asks slightly nervous if the demon would help. After all they weren't good friends or even friends.

Alastor just shuts the door, clearly not even giving the request a second thought. Lucifer stands there for a second or two, quite shocked but gives up. He decides to just try anything and everything to help Charlie by being there for her even tho she's just worried.

Alastor flops down onto a chair, running a hand over his face. How could working here be so tiring? But also nice because of a certain someone... He caught himself thinking of something like that and immediately regretted it. Why would he think of someone like that?

Wouldn't it ruin his name, reputation and everything if anybody found out that he likes, even loves someone? Definitely it would, right? Maybe Alastor should just give himself some freedom, he wouldn't be the first one to love someone in hell.
