Chapter Text
The sun has begun to rise leaving the world in colours of orange, pale pink, and yellow. Such is the aura of dawn. A young woman who appears to be eighteen with long blonde hair glances at the man beside her.
Her green eyes as rich as jade flit up to him. Her neutral expression slowly bloomed into a smile, “Indra-sama.” She begins a warmth only reserved for those you cherish fills her voice.
The man tilts his head glancing down at her. Despite both of them sitting side by side at the pier he’s still a head taller at 5’9.
“Hn?” He questions. A simple word she’s grown accustomed to. Something only he uses. The woman marvels at his beauty with long brown hair and cold onyx eyes.
“Thank you,” she murmurs simply, leaning her head against his shoulder and closing her eyes, “for everything.”
Indra’s eyes widened a fraction at her words. He frowns, “what have I done to deserve gratitude?” He demands although there’s no bite to it.
The woman’s smile shifts to something gentle and fragile, “a lot of things. I’m grateful for you.” She murmurs quietly, almost shy.
The brunette couldn’t help but grip the chin of the woman beside him. “I see…” He continues with certainty. He leans closer to the point their noses are almost touching but not quite. He smiles coldly, “I’m glad.” He announces.
The woman’s breath hitches a flush threatening to spread across her cheeks. She closes her eyes as Indra leans in his lips brushing hers. Yet another kiss he claimed from her.
Another smile spread across her lips that still touched his own. “Always so sudden…” She mumbled. She couldn’t help the flutter in her chest as the corner of Indra’s lips quirked up.
He captured her lips in a more feverish kiss his tongue swept over her bottom lip eliciting a stunned gasp from the pink haired woman.
He leaned closer making her lower herself as he pinned himself above her. Her back pressed against the wood of the harbour.
His lips were about to meet hers again when suddenly two people at separate places jolted up at the same time.

Sasuke, who had been resting in a tree, sat up rubbing his right eye. “Tch.” He clicked his tongue, a sense of annoyance seeping into him.
That was a stupid dream… And a strange one. What kind of pervert did he have to be to imagine his predecessor and past life kissing a woman that looked suspiciously like his teammate.
He frowned pensively thinking back to a moment from a year ago when he had begun his journey of atonement.
A certain teammate of his had requested to join him. Part of him had selfishly wanted to accept but Sakura wasn’t filth that stained the earth.
Sasuke had caused damage to both the world and his precious bonds. He recalled a saying his former teacher had said that had always stuck with him. In the ninja world, those who break the rules are scum, that's true, but those who abandon their friends are worse than scum.
Sasuke must be the scum of the century for all that he has done. With this journey he works towards self improvement, to aid the world, and to become someone that deserves the love he receives.
He stood up silently, his eyes skimming across his surroundings. Once he deemed the area clear he began traveling again.
Even now he still felt he was undeserving of the pink haired woman. Only time could tell when he would truly feel prepared to accept the unwavering love of Sakura Haruno.

Sakura woke up in her office with a gasp of slight flush and a feeling of shame settling inside of her.
What kind of pervert did she have to be to have a dream of her teammate’s past life making out with a woman who looked strangely like herself?
She slowly sat up from her slumped position on the table, her eyes wandering around the room as she frowned thoughtfully.
‘Sasuke-kun… I wonder where you are right now..?’ She thought, thinking of her teammate had become a habit she finds herself doing more often than not. He’s been through a lot but she’s glad he’s making an effort towards self improvement. Truly she believes Sasuke is actually trying.
She glanced at the paperwork on her desk and sighed. She’ll leave that to the Sakura of tomorrow. She pulled off her doctor’s coat leaving it on the chair before exiting the room.
As she walked back to her apartment she stared at the moon. For some reason it looked brighter than usual. She smiled longingly at the moon. Even the simplest things reminded her of him.
The moon is beautiful tonight. Yet it pales in comparison to the beauty of Sasuke Uchiha.
