Order 66 Legends Survivors Compilation
I have been frustrated for several years by the lack of reliable information on the Great Jedi Purge, notably its survivors, in Legends. There is plentiful information when it comes to canonical lists and more, but there were no singular Legends-exclusive materials I could readily find. Thus, this list came to being.
While researching, I determined that it would be inefficient to name all the Jedi that appear or are mentioned, so this list consists exclusively of characters that were explicitly mentioned by name. I cannot guarantee that I didn’t miss any Jedi, as I am not infallible and have not the time nor effort to painstakingly comb through all the media required. That being said, I can say with some degree of certainty that this list contains above 80% of all Legends documented survivors.`
This list is based on a plethora of sources, pulling from comics, movies, shows, books, video games, and any and all authorized generally compliant Legends content. It was also compiled with the help of several Wookiepedia articles, though these are not guaranteed to be 100% reliable. Therefore, while some of these Jedi may have canonically died, the list will include anyone who survived in a generally regular storyline (i.e no alternate universe content allowed).
Interestingly, I found that more Jedi were mentioned in Canon than in Legends, and though this is a Legends list, characters such as Ahsoka Tano who appear on this list are included by virtue of their appearance in Legends content as a survivor.
A Jedi must have survived at least 12 hours from the time in which the order was issued to count as a survivor, although due to the fact that many sources do not have timestamps, this list errs on the side of immediate death.
The term ‘Jedi’ is used loosely, as this list includes Jedi, Gray Jedi, or ex-jedi, as long as they received some form of Jedi training. This list does not include people such as Luke Skywalker, who had not received any training until after the purge, though he was alive before it.
The “Altisian Jedi” are mentioned several times. This was a splinter sect of the Jedi Order, and they conceivably encompassed over 200 Jedi or Force Sensitives. However, due to the vagueness of the numbers, as well as the lack of substantial evidence to individuals, only those mentioned by name are on this list.
This list offers but a brief description of each Jedi and their life, specifically their notable achievements, how they survived the fall, any important activities they later engaged in, and their death if it’s been documented(if there was no documented death, it will not be mentioned). It is not in any order, as I could not determine how one would go about ordering it.
