Quirk Kitty

Summary:

INSPIRED BY “ When Life Gives You Lemons, You Throw Them At The Nearest F*cking Villain ” by Catoutsideofthebag

Midoriya Izuku had lost hope in being a hero, especially after his mother’s death. So, what was the next best thing a quirkless kid with top-tier analysis skills could do?

Be a vigilante!

Sure it was hard, but when Midoriya found a little kitty on the side of the street, he had to take it in! Even if the cat was glowing and seemed very ominous!

Now with a special cat on his side, and a grumpy, sleep-deprived hero chasing after him, who knows how the boy’s life is going to turn out?

Work Text:

Tsukauchi was exhausted. This was way, way over his pay grade. Maybe next time he filed his reports, he’d ask for a raise.

It all started with the first villain they caught presumably last Sunday. (He was meant to interrogate villains, not to remember dates; records exist for a reason)

There were bruises on the villain’s chest, presumably from being whacked with a weapon. The civilian who made the call came in to give them details, since they were the only witness at the scene.

Problem was, none of it made any sense!

Apparently, the ‘hero’ who apprehended the villain was using yarn. Call him insane, but no registered hero used yarn as their main weapon. Nobody would be silly enough to do that. Tsukachi did call the Pussycats to make sure it wasn’t them, despite them being stationed in a whole other area. No villain would’ve turned the guy in; he was a low-class street thief with no affiliation to any group. It didn’t take long for the police officer to realize a new vigilante was most likely roaming the streets.

Just a little work for Tsukauchi, that’s what the police officer assumed this would be. Another small-fry vigilante for them to catch and let off with a warning. How naive he was at the time.

Now with seven more villains caught in the same week, ranging from brutes to drug dealers, this case was above him. It was time to call in reinforcements from a higher-up hero—preferably Eraserhead. The man had dealt with a handful of makeshift vigilantes, what was one more going to do to him?

•••••••••••••••••••••••

Izuku Midoriya had no clue what the police were planning for him. The boy was too busy with rounding up the newest villain. A purse thief who had stolen from Aunt Mitsuki. Auntie, of all people!!

He finished tying up the thief with a solid piece of yarn, then began chastising the guy despite his clear state of unconsciousness.

“Purses? Of all things you steal purses? You could be a really good firefighter or chef with that quirk, you know? Welp, I hope you change your ways eventually...”

Brushing off his pants, Midoriya turned to leave, nearly forgetting to acknowledge his companion.

“Oh what a good quirk kitty you are! Yes you are! I’m getting the best treats for you today, Mighty!!”

Said “quirk kitty” looked up at Midoriya, licking any dust off her glowing paws. The grey cat pounced onto his shoulder, as they made their way back to their hideout.

”Meow!”
