FIRE  

i burn 
you 
a blaze 
consuming all 
that you love, 

by nature 
i destroy 
yet 
you still brighten me 

one day i will earn a fraction of 
your gentleness, 

 WIND

 you
 melt me,
 softening my chill
 into the soothing breeze
 that i need.

 we fight, and
 despite everything, 
 i long for your warmth
 whenever you are near.

 our unlikely harmony that is
 somehow so strong
