Chapter 1: We finally meet, again.

Chapter Text

As the golden sunrays begun peeking between the high, steep mountains from the distance—your pet chickens clucking loudly in your newly built yard along with your mooing cow you named planetdestroyer. You began doing your daily routine, cleaning the yard, arranging your furniture, and feeding you little beloved farm animals aslo your pet parrot you jokingly named executioner. You put on your usual adventure fit, forgetting to close the door. You began strolling to the forest to forage for some mushrooms—your parrot resting on your shoulder, you made your way to the forest entrance, halting just in front of the shades. You looked around cautiously before stepping inside the forest, placing your basket on the ground and started picking up mushrooms, “I could make some mushroom soup for tonight,” you mumbled happily, half-way in picking mushrooms—sounds of crunched dried leaves echoed in the distance followed by faint breathing and footsteps. You jerked your head up startling your parrot—abruptly standing up, you began scrutinizing the area searching for a possible threat. When the coast is clear, you went back to foraging but this time your pace was frantic—panic and anxiousness engulfed your whole body as sweats began to form on every part of your body.  You felt your soul exiting your body when your parrot suddenly started squawking and flapping its wings—you didn’t think twice and pulled out your sword as you ran out of the forest. You looked back before you went back to your home not far from the forest—you could’ve sworn you saw a man hiding in the woods but you ignored it thinking you were just being paranoid.

“What was that? Lately I've been paranoid, I'm probably just exhausted.” you mumbled, heaving from running. Half-way from your home you saw the door was wide open, your eyes started to shake as panic rushed through your veins. You cautiously tiptoe to the front door, peeking before stepping inside. Yet there was nobody, not even a trace of footprints on sight. You shut the door close before plopping on the floor—mushrooms scattering on the floor. You sigh loudly as you stand up and shake that feeling of someone probably sneaking into your home or you thought you left it open. Preparing all the tools you needed, you washed the mushrooms and chopping them into pieces—as you danced happily in the kitchen trying to ease all the creeping paranoia. Warm afternoon light filled the entire room, along the savory aroma making you drool—you couldn’t wait. You began putting a portion onto your bowl, slurping everything in your bowl.  A satisfied blurp escaped your throat, you tapped your stomach in intense satisfaction. Looking at the clock, you decided to visit the village and have a little talk with your friend Alex. You packed your stuff and decided of giving Alex some of your dish—you walked to the front door, you could’ve sworn you saw a shadowy, dark particles scattering on the air before it fully vanish that made you stop in track but you shake that feeling and head out, making sure you properly lock your front door. You headed to the village along with your pet Executioner, each step you took you could hear footsteps following behind your back, you shot quick glances yet nobody was there. Continuing, you finally made it to the village, the village was surprisingly large meaning more stall to shop—stepping into the block filled with nothing but different stall, you beam in excitement, looking at the products they’re selling you couldn’t help but buy in every stall that piqued your interest—fishes, poultry, veggies, even a swordsmith. Each stall is crowded with buyers, yet this one stall rarely has customers approaching—It was a fortune teller, you slowly walked past it, glancing curiously, when you heard the woman call out to you. “You are being followed, young lady.” snickering, as the lady kept her eyes hidden. The words made you freeze, and all your attention went to the fortune teller. “Wha-? I-uh well, I thought so too. How can you tell?” You stammered, struggling to get the words out.

“He watches you from a distance—to your shadow. He has claimed you, my dear.” The fortune teller spoke with an eerie tone followed by a faint smile. These words stabbed you like an icy knife sending a chill down your spine, “Claimed?? By who!?” you yelled in frustration, hungry for an answer only to be met by a a smirk with a hint of seriousness, “24 emeralds and ill tell you who.”, Your eyes twitched as your hand instinctively reaches for your pocket—to your disappointment, you only have three emeralds since you aren’t a miner, but a traveller. You just stared at the fortune teller, curiosity is eating you up but you decided to leave. In your peripheral vision you could see a shadow figure from a distance, hiding. You kept darting your eyes on it but couldn’t catch a sight. You rush to your friend’s house, Alex. Knocking frantically on the door as you kept looking arond, the place is crowded yet you feel unsafe.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK.

No answer. You tried banging on the door once more.

KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK, KNOCK.

A sigh of relief when you heard your friend call out to you, “Coming!”. The door opened as Alex greeted you warmly, “Hey! How are you?” she smiled widely as she pulled you into embrace. “Hey Alex! I've missed you! I'm doing well but uh, I think I'm being—” You spoke with a hint of fear but stopped mid of saying it, not wanting to worry your friend Alex also it’s been so long since you’ve hung out with her, you don’t wanna spend your time with Alex about venting something negative—you’ll deal with it later. After hours of chitchatting, laughing, and Alex touring you around the village, exhaustion hit you like a rampaging wind the moment you stepped back into her house. You swore another chill ran down your spine—that feeling of being watched came back. You immediately sat down on the couch, plopping like a tired starfish. Alex came back to the living room, a cold iced tea in hand as she offered it to you—You gratefully accepted it, gulping it like a dehydrated idiot. After hours of resting and talking you finally said goodbye to each other, before departing, she gave you a bag of wheat and freshly baked bread. The aroma of the bread sent you flying in space, you surely will feast on this once you get home.

“Thank you Alex! I’ll be back.”, you beamed, “You’re always welcome, I'll be waiting for you!” she immediately replied back.

The darkness slowly made it’s way to the sky, covering the warm and comforintg golden rays peeking between the steep mountain. On your way home, a torch in your hand—you walk mindlessly towards your home. A loud whistle echoed from the forest, followed by a sound of crunching leaves. You ignored every noise that sends a chilling sensation to your spine, frantically walking as you tightly clutch the bag carrying all the goodies Alex gave you. As you frantically walked a soft breathing suddenly invaded your left ears, each hair from your body stood up probably applauding you their last goodbye. You hurriedly ran, sweats started beading on your back—a smile spread across your face when you finally saw your house from the distance. But before you could step into your vast yard, a sudden force yanked you back to the forest. Everything went dark, a loud pounding emerged to your head, you could feel someone pinning you down the ground. With all your courage, you opened your eyes shakingly—a man two times the size of you is pinning you on the grass, he was staring at you seemingly scrutinizing each feature on your face. You felt all the blood draining from your face down to your neck—you felt numb from his grasp. You wanted to scream, fight back, or flee but it seems like your body decided to betray you. Tears started streaming down your face without you realizing, he tilted his head at the sight of you crying as he placed his finger brushing the tears on your face—he was smiling.

In the middle of him admiring you, an immense courage abruptly built in your chest—you fight back. Pulling your worn out iron sword and pointing it against him. He was taken aback by your action, yet it only made him smile wider. He glared at you with what seemed like intense anger—no, it wasn’t anger. You studied his face, realizing he was… admiring you? Thoughts swirled inside your head as your knees weakened the moment he finally stood up fully. He was even taller and more lanky. Oh god, he was looming over you—staring at you… His gaze was bold and seemed like challenging you, he smirked but then softened his gaze. “Dear y/n, you sure are fierce,” he said, “You look even more gorgeous from this angle” before smiling once more, but he was… blushing. “I ain’t dying without putting up a fight!” your voice trembling, but you stood your ground. He took a few and slow steps towards you. You wave your sword at him but he catches it effortlessly—you tremble even more. “WHAT DO YOU WANT!?” you screamed, he frowned at your tone. He stopped at his track…staring at you—he looked angry this time. With a swift move he charged at you, pulling you into a tight and choking embrace. He was literally crushing you at this point, sword still in your grasp. He whispers, “Drop it.” you shook your head leading him to hug you tighter—you gasped for air and let your guard down and dropped your sword. He looses you a bit but still embraces you in a choking way. As seconds pass, an agonizing embrace lasted for moments in complete silence, only your gasping and his heavy breathing filled the quiet forest.

“I’ve been waiting for you… for a very long time.” he whispered, breaking the silence. You were utterly confused by these words. “How come you don’t recognize me anymore.” he asked softly, you couldn’t speak sp just listened. “I’ve waited hundred years for you, my love.” he confessed, “I’ve searched for you everywhere, waited.”, you looked at his face, his gaze fixed on you the whole time. “What are you talking about?” before you could ask him another question—he vanished. You sat there, unmoving and confused.

On your home, plopped on the bed staring at the ceiling. Pondering what he meant by those words, you scratched your head trying to think of something, “Did I reincarnate?” you asked as you chuckled, but now you can breathe without worrying that guy will kill you, you muttered to yourself that he prob meant no harm. As you think deeper into it you slowly drift into slumber.

Another day, another day working on your farm. You woke up satisfied, finally sleeping in peace without worrying of a man hungry to kill you. Putting on your farm clothes you skiddle to your farm, as you head to your farm. Your whole world being crushed down—your chicken laying stone-dead on the ground, along with your beloved cow Planetdestroyer is murdered. You kneeled on the floor in despair, every farm animal you have—ARE DOOMED!. You wanted to scream in anger when you saw in your peripheral vision the man you met in the forest last night. He wasn’t hiding anymore, he stood there…proudly with a smug smirk on his face. He teleported to you in just a second, towering over you. “Thank me later in your house, you’re welcome.” He smirked, seemingly proud of his work. “THANK YOU? TH-THANK YOU FOR WHAT???” you screamed as you started hitting him with a shovel, him unmoving and unbothered by this. “I did your work? Slaughtering your source of protein, in this case all you could do is cook it.” He spoke as he patted your head. You explode in anger and this time you hit him with all your force—he shrieks in pain before vanishing.

You spent your morning chopping your farm animals in tears, you decided to just cook them instead of letting them go to waste. “I couldn’t believe I’m eating planetdestroyer.” you said with intense sadness. As you were eating you swore you heard a sound of someone exhaling from nearby, “Is Planetdestroyer taste delicious?” the man asked softly behind your ear. You jolted and swiftly stood up facing him. This dude was leaning on the wall, my god he’s smirking seemingly trying to look…delicious you wanna fuck him so bad and allow him to breed you, kidding. He’s leaning on the wall, arms crossed as he slowly tilted his head gaze fixed on you—his cheeks looks stained with a hint of pinkish color. “What the fuck do you want now?” you said while chewing, he just smiled at you. “I asked how does he taste like?” he mocked once more. You just ignored him and took your plate to the sink, he followed behind. As you were washing the plate, you felt a pair of arms snaking in your waist, chin resting on your shoulder—you felt his cold breath on your nape and neck. You couldn’t move, though you wanted to push him away—you fekt comfort after a long time of being lonely. The embrace is now much more gentle compared to your first encounter with him, you let him hug you for a moment when he finally breaks the silence, “We used to do this before, and you always loved it.” again with his antics.

You finally found the right moment to ask him about it, you remove his embrace and face him—he towers you, chin up yet his gaze fixed on you as you were studying his face, you pondered, he doesn’t look bad at all rather he looks attractively strange, his skin pale as a ghost, a lanky yet strong and tall body is a plus. “Hey uh, yeah about that, what do you mean by it? I'm pretty sure I never met you before.” you asked anxiously, “I am not from here though, I’m a traveller.” you added. He just stared at you not wanting to answer, he turned his back on you and started roaming around your house—opening chest, rooms, and drawers. You yelled at him grabbing his attention. “Hey! I’m talking to you!” you followed him to your small library, you saw him grabbing books and just tossing them on the ground. As a clean and neat person you rush to pick them up and place them back where they were originally placed. You hollered at him several times. He just keeps rummaging to your stuff before halting, staring at a strange specific book on the shelves—it was a purple, enchanted book about different entities you found at the market. He glances at you frowning, staring at you for a long period of time before setting the shelf on fire. You screamed in terror, frantically earching for something to put out the fire. As you are busy putting out the fire, a few knocks echo to your living room.

You looked around to see that motherfucker vanishes again, you rush to your front door—beaming as you open athe door and greeted your friend, Alex. This time she was with two strangers, perhaps her friend. You led them to the sofa while a haze of smoke lingered from the library to the living room. “I’m sorry bro, my library caught on fire haha” you said nervously, Alex looked at you with worries before standing up and offering to help—you assured her everything is under control and fine. You gave each a beverage as tehy began to talk about whatever is going on in their lives, mid chitchatting Alex interrupted everyone as she placed her attention to you—blushing. “Hey, I wanted you to meet Dylan.” she said as she started giggling, the man across you currently lowering his face from embarrassment. He was tall, with warm and brown skin and hair curling like the wind. He smiled at you softly but you only gave him an awkward smile, throughout the conversation you swore you kept seeing him staring at you, trying to get close to you but you insisted on keeping a space between you two.

As the moonlight crept, crickets began singing, and the night fell into a cold breeze. Each of them said goodbye to you, looking at the man who took interest in you—he hands you a paper, his number written on it before departing from you. At last, you closed the door—that same cold aura appeared behind you again. “Ahhh yes, of course you’re back.” you spoke nonchalantly. As you turned to face him he snatched the paper from your hand and placed it in his mouth, chewing on it. You stared in disbelief before face-palming, “This is ridiculous, my dude get a life stop pestering me.” you spoke walking past him, as you walked away you could hear a sharp metal scraping the floor.

You looked back in horror—he was holding a newly polished axe. Before you could think of , he appeared behind you , and started choking you, he lifted you up from the ground. Gasping for air, tears blurred your vision as the axe handle pressed against your throat. You scratched at his arm that was holding both ends of the weapon, desperate to free yourself from the deadly grip.

“YES! YES! CHOKE ON IT.” he yelled in excitement. Desperate, you pleaded with him to stop—fortunately he did. You plopped on the floor, gasping for air. You looked back at him, a frown display on his face. You are beyond confused, he kneel down and leaned in closer to your face as he studied your facial reaction. He cupped your face with both hands, leaning in even closer and then… he kissed you softly, for a moment. You froze in place, and suddenly pushed him back. “What the fuck is wrong with you? You tried to kill me and now you want to kiss me?!” you yelled but you couldn’t help wanting for more. He leaned in again “You belong to me, you promised me way back in time that I belong to you. And now you are dating some mortals.” he spoke with a hint of jealousy, “And you're going to solve that by killing me?” you added, he reached to your hand and placed it in his cheeks, eyes fixed on you. “No, I’ve done that a long time ago.” he said, you looked horrified by his confession, “And that is something I would never do again, you left me for a hundred years, darling.” he said, but he didn't look remorseful rather he looked… a bit happy? “And whose fault is that? Wait, what? What do you mean?” you asked confusedly. He suddenly pulled you into a kiss, embracing you tightly as if he was afraid to lose you again, his hands on your back as he slowly supported your back into the floor. You make out with him for an hour, tasting each other's soul and imprinting both hand prints to each other's body.

He finally pulled back a string of each other's saliva dripping onto your chest. Both parties heaving from the intense making out, he tilted at you as he spoke.

“Your face looks the same every time you’re reborn. You’re still beautiful, no matter what.”
