Work Text:
At lunchtime, Gina found herself in one of the very last remaining convenience stores in Solution 9. The ultra processed drab just didn’t do it for her. She wanted something that resembled something edible. While she didn’t want to admit it, she was quite the picky eater.
When she found something that seemed fit in the realm of somewhat appetizing foods, she made her way over to the self checkout to save herself some time. She had to give it to the Alexandrians. Despite having strong reservations about Electrope, Gina couldn’t deny this system was incredibly efficient. No waiting in line. No meaningless interactions. Just pay up and leave.
On her way out, she fumbled a little with her pack of cigarettes. Not many left. There was not a single store in Solution 9 that sold tobacco. At least not in the form she preferred. While she really wanted to light one up here, on the bench near the convenience store where she was planning to eat her lunch, she decided it was better left later in the day when she was completely alone.
With pursed lips, she let out a growl of pure disappointment. Her shoulders dropped a little as her gaze drifted away into the neon streetlights. This place was going to give her sensory overload one of these days.
She popped the can and downed the caffeinated soda in a single go. Maybe it was the amount of coffee she consumed but these energy drinks did nothing for her. They tasted good, though
Leisurely, she strolled over towards the bin to throw away the can but was rudely intercepted by a lady in sporty casual wear. Without a care in the world, the woman chanted a weak apology while she was already jogging ahead. It took Gina a moment to set aside her frustrations and actually look at the Elezen that had almost knocked her down when she dashed past her. When she put the relatively simple puzzle together, her feet were like a pair of jet engines, propelling her forward with admirable speed.
Red hair, mole underneath the lip, same height. There was no mistaking it.
She could wear a full suit of armor for all she knew and she would still recognize that woman from a mile away by her smell alone.
While at first, Gina didn’t have much trouble catching up to a jogging athlete by simply sprinting, she was quickly running out of gas. Not to mention, she could feel her lungs clamping up violently, depriving her from air. But with True Vue in sight, her target would eventually have to slow down as the streets were packed at this time of day. If she had to make a guess, her runner would try to cut through the crowd, beeline for the nearest alley and take the backroute to the residential area.
It was a good thing the professor didn’t have to abide by the rules of this world. She would take the risk of losing her target out of sight and teleport to the alleyway leading towards the residential buildings.
With a simple snap of her fingers, an aetherical tear manifested and by slipping her hand into it, she could feel an anchor point close to her desired destination. In an instant, she warped herself through the crack between dimensions, appearing safely on the other side.
And just as fate would have it, her redhead jogger had made her way into the quiet backstreet. With no one in sight, she leisurely took the time to take a good swing from her water bottle. For a moment, the mage lingered in the shadows to observe the runner. Long, trained legs, perfect posture and while most of her upper body was covered up, she knew exactly what was lying underneath. The strength to put most of her peers to shame while retaining the slender silhouette she was known for.
Regina let out a hot, lascivious pant. She couldn't help herself. With her fingers, she pawed at the collar of her turtleneck to let off some steam while she waited for the woman to come closer. Underneath her mask, her teeth were picking excitedly at her lower lip. And while her body was heating up, her eyes remained still. Carefully trained on the athlete that had run into her with such haste.
Just as she was about to continue her stroll home, Gina jumped from the shadows and blocked her patch. Obviously frightened by what most would directly interpret as an attempt at assault, the lady in the workout clothes was quick to take a more aggressive and offensive stance. Before she caught any punches, Gina took off her cap and pulled down the spandex mask for a moment to reveal her face.
“It’s me. Don’t hit me.” The professor quipped, putting her hands up defensively and she could see Vamp's gaze soften as she relaxed her shoulders.
“Queen Eternal." She breathed, bringing her hand to her forehead to massage the angry vein near her temple "You were really asking for it! Don’t scare me like that.”
Her anger quickly subsided as the adrenaline was flushed from her body by a soothing calm of relief. She placed a hand on her chest and took a deep breath before turning her unamused gaze towards the source of her sudden heart palpitations. A few more encounters with this wretched woman and she'd have white hair just like her.
“Start by not bumping into people at the convenience store with your rock hard body and then sprinting away.” Regina then bit back, reminding Vamp of how she'd almost been run over by the towering Eldite.
“Ah, so that's what's got you fed up. Sorry about that. I wanted to go home before anyone caught me.” While her explanation got her a small nod from the researcher, her apology fell on deaf ears. At this point in time, Vamp was used to it. There was something more at play which she would find out soon enough. Why else would the Hyune chase her all the way here just to talk?
"Nevermind, I don't even know why I chased you." Regina lied defly, knowing full well why she wanted to talk to Vamp the moment she saw her in the open. When mage woke up this morning, she wasn't really happy with what she was. Just remembering her reflection made the frown on her forehead deepen. She wasn't a vain person but she didn't like answering questions.
Fortunately for her.
She would be given the opportunity to vent all her frustrations without bringing up the topic herself.
“Caught a cold, Gina?” Vamp asked her as she peered down through her lashes at the mask. Of course she'd already forgotten, the mage thought to herself and she rolled her eyes.
“Don’t remind me. It’s all your fault. “ Her voice was harsh. The power with which she verbalized that last sentence was somewhere between someone raising their voice and a shout. Any louder and it would have certainly caught the attention from someone in the main avenue. Maybe it was a good thing Regina was wearing that fabric mask. It muffled her sharp, angry voice quite well.
“Calm down. Don’t make a scene now.” Vamp worried, hushing her partner but Regina shook her head dismissively.
“This wouldn’t have been an issue if you didn’t rip my lip apart.” The mage argued. A little more quiet this time but not quiet enough for Vamp Fatale's liking.
“You did that to yourself!" Vamp growled through her teeth in an attempt to not raise her voice. "You pulled back. You didn’t care yesterday and now you’re throwing a fit? Please.”
“It was hot then until I looked in the mirror the next morning." Gina objected as she crossed her arms. "For someone who doesn’t like getting their perfect face scratched up in the ring, I’d expect some consideration.”
“Consideration? Are you hearing yourself? Maybe if you hadn’t forgotten the safeword because you’re such a needy and condescending piece of work sometimes this wouldn’t be an issue now.” It was genuine talent to make Vamp Fatale lose herself in fruitless arguments but there was something so extremely gratifying about going back and forth with this witty demon.
What she didn't expect, however, was that her barking dog would be the one to put a stop to this senseless arguing. Gina was simply not having it today.
“Nevermind. This is all just extremely inconvenient. Trying to talk to you was a waste of my time.” She then said, ending her sentence with a little huff.
“You tell me. You almost blew my cover by freaking out in the middle of the street.”
Those words awakened something within the Mage.
A deep realization.
She could only think of one thing. A single word.
Leverage.
“Oh, is that so?” The mage taunted. There was a clear shift in Gina's demeanor. The wrinkles in her face smoothed out as her face relaxed and her scowl made way for an ominous grin.
“I don’t like the sound of that. What are you planning?” Vamp growled, backing off a little before Gina made sure to close the distance again. As if possessed by something otherworldly, the much smaller mage reached with her hands for the top of her vest near the hood. She strangled the fabric between balled fists and somehow managed to pull her down until their faces were not that far separated from each other.
What kind of black magick is this? Vamp pondered as she tried to free herself but instead found herself bound in place. She never bothered to ask just what kind of magick the mage had in her repertoire. Not that Regina would have revealed her cards but knowing how much pride she took in her work, Vamp would have at least gotten an idea of what the mage was capable of.
“Say. Hypothetically speaking, what would happen if someone were to recognize you while we make out here?”
Vamp felt her heart sink and hit the floor.
“You conniving little shit-!”
The words came out but lacked power, conviction.
Her hands were trembling and her voice wavering.
Was this fear?
With her pinky and index finger curled around the hem of the spandex, she pulled her facemask down. Her damp breath felt phenomenal against her cold skin. Vamp could feel her breath hitch in her throat as Gina's lips came closer. Half lidded eyes urged Vamp to accept her lips and to not hesitate and while the seductress would love nothing more than that, she had a reputation to uphold. Just the smallest risk of getting caught was too much for her. Her wit fought desperately against the binding spell. Rousing up every muscle in her body - no matter how sore - to fight against the urge to give in and let herself be enraptured by Gina's bewitching kiss. But eventually, she lost herself to desire.
It just took a little reassurance from her well-spoken partner to push her over the edge.
"Nobody will find out. Just don't make a scene."
Words so quiet that only she could hear them and while intended to quell her fears and soothe her worries, felt so incredibly cold and uncaring that she wanted to scream. When Gina forced their lips together, the Hyur let out a low, primal growl that came from somewhere deep inside her chest. It was a feral, needy sound that made her throat and tongue vibrate as their tongues danced around. Gina wasn't wasting time. She went for the entire dessert buffet like her life depended on it.
Caught off guard by the sudden, violent invasion of the other's tongue, Vamp stole a quick breath of fresh air when she saw the opportunity. If she didn't take her chances now, she would be choking on that devil's needy tongue while Regina relished in her desperation. As expected, her mouth was quickly captured once more. Lewd, wet smacks filled the air and before she knew it, her sharp fingernails had left painful increments into her hand palms in pure excitement.
She had to give it to the professor. While predictable in nature, the sheer rawness of her assault was slowly and steadily chipping away at the little control Vamp still had over the situation. It was only a matter of time before Regina finally got back what she craved so desperately but couldn't hold on to: absolute control.
Maybe just this once she would indulge her.
As a treat.
Regina's rough edges were so deliciously vulgar that she found herself craving more with every bloodhungry kiss. Calm and composed people truly were the most depraved animals of all of them. From poorly aimed kisses that make their teeth collide to awkwardly swallowing Vamp's lips because of how she keeps digging in without thinking, it was truly a unique feeling. There was not a single, boring moment or an awkward pause in between. It was bang after bang after bang and the seductress was so incredibly overwhelmed, she could cry tears of joy. Every aesthetic had gone out of the window. It was so ugly. Drool and spit smeared on their faces while her lips were being devoured. From an outsider's perspective, this must resemble something like a murder scene. Something they've only ever seen before in the movies. Something so obscene and gruesome that they would immediately avert their eyes and turn away.
This hell-borne devil was unleashing a terrible inferno on her perfect lips, desecrating her very idea of beauty and rewriting the very rules of their play.
If this was purgatory, she would like to bathe in hellfire for all eternity.
Breathlessly, she sought for something to hold on to, both literally and figuratively. With tears budding in the very corners of her eyes, she let out a sigh of exhaustion when she eventually noticed the calm color of seafoam staring at her. The storm within Regina's gaze had subsided and the waters had stilled. The final act had ended quite some time ago and Vamp didn't even realise it. In her defeat, she let her body slump and she was consequently captured in the Hyur's embrace.
"I promised, right. Nobody will find out. This is between us." Regina coaxed as she tucked a strand of Vamp's behind her ears. The mage continued to stroke her hair a little while longer, running her fingers through her silky, soft strands. "Besides, I don't like sharing."
Even though Regina's hugs were as stiff as they came, Vamp had trouble letting go. With a bit of help from the professor, she was standing tall again like nothing had happened. Gina gave her a soft pat on her wet cheek and wiped the spit away with the napkin she got with her sandwich.
"Go home now. We'll talk soon." A few more words of encouragement quickly got Vamp back into her usual demeanor. Unbelievable, the fashionista groaned softly to herself as she snatched the napkin from Gina's fingers to clean the rest of her face. What a mess. The first thing she wanted to do when she got home was take a long, deserved shower.
Before she could say her goodbyes to Regina, the mage pushed one of those processed, convenience store sandwiches into her hands.
"And um, take this. I'm not hungry anymore." The mage muttered before slipping the facemask back over her torn, wet lips. Vamp wasn't even allowed to decline the gift as her auspicious friend had disappeared back into the shadows where she'd come from.
