A land, littered with vampires, was a land where many known vampires resided. Mainly coming from different locations.
Two that were quite known were named Sandrine and Noé. The two met in Averoigne when they were children. The two were close but Noé always mistaken Sandrine for a female due to his long, blonde hair and feminine frame. Sandrine never bothered to correct him as it wasn’t a big of a deal for him.
Now, as Sandrine and Noé were young adults, they met once more in Paris. Sandrine finally corrected Noé which was definitely a surprise for Noé. Sandrine and Noé’s bond never faded and neither did Sandrine’s feelings for Noé fade away either.
Sandrine harbored feelings for Noé that he described as “useless” and “unnecessary.” After all, he knew how Noé and Dominique were like. He knew he should just give up but his heart never took his side, continuing to race at the smallest things from Noé.
Sandrine, due to these feelings developed an unhealthy habit of cutting when he accidentally let any feelings other than his usually angry demeanor out. He usually only did it in the dead of the night where he knew he wouldn’t be caught. He didn’t want comfort or talked out of his actions, it was comfort for him.
Unfortunately, he would be caught one night and by the one person he DIDNT want to be caught by. Noé.
One night, as they were staying at an inn, Noé noticed Sandrine’s absence from the room. He immediately got worried and began searching for Sandrine. Until he heard the sound of a sword slashing. He got a bit more worried at the sound and followed the sound where he was led to the garden of the inn, right behind the building. He was also met with the sight of Sandrine and the sound of muffled grunts. He began approaching silently, not wanting to startle Sandrine.
As Noé got closer he could see the blood dripping from Sandrine’s wrist and looked appalled and accidentally let out a gasp. Sandrine, hearing the gasp immediately dropped his sword and froze for a hot moment, his eyes blown wide. He hesitantly turned his head towards Noé, his eyes widening more and his breath quickening at the sight of him.
The two held eye contact for a moment before Noé crouched beside Sandrine, inspecting the wounds and spoke “Sandrine- I… what are-“ Sandrine immediately cut him off with a cold voice, his French and Germanic accent adding to his words as he spoke “Don’t you dare ask.” Sandrine scowled.
Sandrine quickly turned his head away, his eyes burning with hot tears of frustration, embarrassment and… fear that he would be judged. He closed his eyes tightly and tried to fight the urge to just let out his emotions after repressing them for so long but couldn’t help but let a few tears falling down, the tears feeling like a mocking caress.
Sandrine knew the chances of being judged were quite low when it came to Noé. but it still terrified him, he wouldn't want to lose the one person who made him feel human despite not being one. He quickly wiped his tears with his hand, hyperaware of the blood dripping down his wrists from the cuts. He looked up at Noé with furrowed eyebrows, he spoke in a cold tone "You don't need to know anything. Not like you'd understand anything after all." Sandrine stood up but was quickly grabbed by Noé, who grabbed him by the arm, making sure not to accidentally graze the wound. Noé pulled Sandrine closer to him.
Noé looked at Sandrine with a serious expression and let go of Sandrine's arm and cupped Sandrine's cheeks in his palm. Sandrine's eyes widened and his cheeks began burning with blush. Noé spoke, not too soft but not too sharp, "Sandrine, why did you hide such things from me? how long have you even been doing this and what for?" Sandrine blinked a couple times, still appalled by the closeness. He slowly spoke up "Well would you give me a minute before barraging me with questions? goodness..." Sandrine sighed and spoke "I don't exactly remembered when I started you know... this. But the reasoning is just stupid and I don't plan on telling you."
Noé furrowed his eyebrows just by a bit. He quickly put his face closer to Sandrine's, their noses almost touching. Sandrine let out a sharp gasp and he could feel his heart beating faster. Noé, being oblivious didn't notice the obvious change of Sandrine's heart beats. He spoke again "I said tell me Sandrine." Sandrine scowled and snapped back "Fine! I started because I felt like my feelings were nothing but useless. I felt like punishments were needed to keep me acting like how everyone thinks I do. I just so happened to choose this way. I also wanted something to distract the stupid feelings I had for you..." Sandrine quickly trailed off as he realized what he said, his eyes widened and he looked down at the grass below and looked back up at Noé to see his reaction.
Noé had a slight hint of blush upon his dark skin. Sandrine slowly opened his mouth once more "Noé... I..." Sandrine was quickly cut off by Noé moving one of his hands to the back of Sandrine's neck and pulled their faces closer until their lips met. Sandrine's eyes widened once more, his hands subconsciously moving to Noé's chest and resting there. Sandrine, after a couple of seconds, melted into the kiss and closed his eyes, his eyelashes falling onto his pale skin as they closed.
after a couple of seconds, the duo finally pulled a part. there was a couple seconds of awkward silence until Noé moved his hand back to Sandrine's cheek and leaned over and kissed Sandrine's cheek and spoke "You should've told me earlier. fool." Sandrine let out a rare giggle as a couple more kisses were planted on his face "I know..." after a few more kisses, Noé pulled back and let go of Sandrine's cheeks. He stood up and held out his hand, "Come on, let's get you cleaned up and head back to bed." Sandrine smiled, his cheeks lightly brushed with blush as he took Noé's hand and replied "Okay..."
