ㅤWhen Mike and Will met again, they were chatting about some nonsense. About their new lives. Will was talking about his boyfriend, and how they spent their weekends together, and all sorts of other nonsense. Deep down, Mike knew that it was confusing and infuriating. Maybe it was because he was lonely himself? When Will finished his enthusiastic speech, he looked at Mike, waiting for him to speak. "Have you found someone for yourself?"
ㅤWill looked at Mike with a bit of confusion, but still as kind as before. Mike took a deep breath. "I don't even know." Mike sat down at his desk and looked at a painting, his eyes downcast. "I miss." Will put his hand on Mike's shoulder, and Mike turned around to look at him. "I'm sorry, Mike. I hope you can let it go."
ㅤ"Yeah, me too." Mike was only thinking about one thing: "You're the heart.", It seems that this is the only thing that motivated him in difficult moments. Something had clearly been bothering him all this time. "I'm sorry I said that to you in the rain. And when we were on roller skates. I'm an asshole." Will looked at Mike, who was sitting with his back to him. He looked into his eyes, and yes, Mike was truly ashamed. He had been a terrible best friend. "Mike, it's okay, I'm not angry." Will seemed to have gotten used to it, used to being hurt. But now he was happy, truly happy. Right? Tears welled up in his eyes, but he tried to be strong for Mike's sake in this difficult moment.
ㅤ"It's bullshit, Will. You were angry. You didn't deserve that. Because of me, what we had before will never happen again. I don't know what it was! I couldn't sleep at night thinking about what it was and why I didn't have it with Lucas, with Dustin. Why am I like this?" Mike burst into tears. He was crying, talking nonsense to his best friend, but to Mike's surprise, Will understood what he was saying. "Mike, stop..." Will wrapped his arms around Mike from behind and held him tightly. He was crying too. They were crying together. "Will, Hawkins is not same without you. My life isn't the same without you. Will, I miss."
