In the realm of the tempest, is where Windy bee—The Malevolent Tempest—lies
Windy bee was quite a reserved dragon and is typically not fond of other dragons and somehow always knew the flaws of them
One dragon Windy bee specifically despised was Vicious bee
Not only did Windy bee regard Vicious bee as stubborn or more stubborn that Stubborn bee, the part that made Windy bee form such an opinion was because of Vicious bee’s persistent attempts at having a duel
At first, Windy bee thought Vicious bee was just testing their skills. Eventually, the dragon of the weather concluded Vicious bee was just being an idiot. The two had clashed so many times such that Windy bee could predict exactly what Vicious bee was going to do with every move
One may think that Vicious bee would learn from such failures and improve, but that is simply incorrect; despite the uncountable number of duels Windy bee had to endure, that darn snails-for-brains dragon still kept using the same tactics over and over again
Windy bee considered such an attitude a huge flaw, and downplayed Vicious bee so much for it. Windy bee almost wanted to throw Vicious bee out of their realm every time they dared lay a talon on their ground, but Windy bee didn’t do so to entertain themself
However, this duel really decided whether Windy bee would allow Vicious bee to come
In their realm of violence, is where Vicious bee—Call of the Vicious—lies
Vicious bee looked up to Windy bee greatly. Hoping one day they would be as skilful as the tempest themself
However, their way of learning was exceptionally flawed—especially in the eyes of The Malevolent Tempest
Vicious bee’s style of sharpening their skills, was to fight everyone, and if they won, they would conclude that they have improved
Vicious bee has essentially won against every other dragon in a duel; from the weakest of baby bee to the most speedy of Precise bee
However, there has been one hurdle, a massive one, in Vicious bee’s journey to a duel master. Who is none other, than The Malevolent Tempest of Windy bee
Vicious bee considered their tactics and skills enough to beat Windy bee, despite literally every other dragon trying to persuade Vicious bee that it wasn’t enough. Vicious bee turned a deaf ear to such comments
Every time Vicious bee lost against Windy bee, they grew more and more ignorant to advice, foolishly believing that if they could win against every other dragon while still keeping the same tactics, one day they will win against that tempest
Vicious bee refused to believe their losses was because they weren’t heeding advice, they believed they just weren’t trying hard enough
Vicious bee showed up to Windy bee’s realm basically every day, asking for a duel. Windy bee seemingly reluctantly agreed to every duel. Vicious bee swore Windy bee always agreed to seem superior with their wins against such a fierce warrior like Vicious bee
Vicious bee glided threw the sky in search for Windy bee’s domain, they were sure that this time they would finally defeat Windy bee and become the most superior, or so they thought
Today was like any other day, Vicious bee stepped into Windy bee’s realm of a blissful atmosphere, which was a facade of spite
Windy bee sighed from the distance upon seeing Vicious bee from the wind shrine and waved a talon, beckoning Vicious bee to fly to the wind shrine
Vicious bee saw the gesture and immediately took off into the skies to meet the dragon of violent winds. Windy bee eyed Vicious bee as if tired, Vicious bee noticed this
”Yes Windy bee, I ask for another duel,” Vicious bee said as they landed in the most ungraceful and awkward way possible. Windy bee sighed, not at Vicious bee’s request, but at their terrible landing
“You need to arch your back as if you’re hovering in the air and place your hind legs onto the ground first,” Windy bee said in their smooth and soft voice. Vicious bee scowled at their words and Windy bee rolled their eyes. “The way you land is almost as if you’re diving into the ground, as if you’re trying to attack something. Dive when you want to get a quick hit on someone.”
Vicious bee’s face tensed up as they scowled harder. “Bah! I don’t need your stupid advice! Why do you care so much about how I land!” Vicious bee told Windy bee harshly
Windy bee continued to stare at Vicious bee with their eyes, which lack pupils
Vicious bee was not thrilled about the awkward silence, and immediately broke it with a “JUST FIGHT ME ALREADY!” and immediately backflipped into the air
Windy bee noticed Vicious bee’s sudden manoeuvre and immediately spun into the sky
Vicious bee’s backflip sent them falling to what seemed like their death, but they curled forwards and stretched their wings. With one powerful flap of focus they rose into the air
In the air, Vicious bee roared—a roar that would be called the Deathwhistle
Spikes protruded from the ground, increasing in size as each spike destroyed the earth. The spikes advanced to the wind shrine as it formed to be a makeshift bridge to reach Windy bee
The last spike was just about to strike Windy bee from the air, if Windy bee hadn’t already won against the Call of the Vicious an uncountable amount of times
Windy bee dived down just as the last spike was about to stab their stomach. They then spotted Vicious bee sprinting on the spikes
Seeing this, Windy bee inhaled as deeply as possible, before letting a deep exhale, which turned into a gust of wind
This attack caught Vicious bee completely off-guard, which knocked the dragon off the spikes. Instead of flying to Vicious bee, the living tempest hovered in the sky
Vicious bee landed on their back exceptionally roughly. They groaned as they got up as hastily as possible and immediately took off into the skies
Windy bee’s keen eyes spotted Vicious bee speeding towards them. Instead of panicking, Windy bee kept calm and let Vicious bee dash towards them
Vicious bee saw Windy bee hovering in the sky. What are THEY doing? Vicious bee thought
Vicious bee took the chance. They reached out their front claws further and roared
Just as Vicious bee was about to strike, Windy bee sharply moved to the right and sent a hurricane speeding towards the fierce dragon
The hurricane took Vicious bee with it and descended onto the ground. Windy bee dived right next to it
Vicious bee flailed around before the hurricane suddenly disappeared and they were thrown to the ground
Windy bee stayed in the air again, hoping Vicious bee would try to tower up to them again. However, after a quick glance, there was no sight of Vicious bee
Suddenly, Windy bee felt someone behind them, but just as they were about to turn around, Vicious bee clawed their back and Windy bee fell from the sky
Panic got hold of Windy bee allowing Vicious bee to grab them. Windy bee uselessly flailed their hind legs, but was only able to scratch the armour plates on Vicious bee’s hind legs
Windy bee cursed themselves for that stupid move in thought before opening their jaws, exposing their sharp teeth, and moving their long neck to snap at an unexposed part of Vicious bee’s right arm. Vicious bee howled in pain as Windy bee wriggled out thanks to their noodle-like body and gave Vicious bee a small puff of wind to push them even further
Vicious bee rotated to face Windy bee. Vicious bee attacked first, trying to use their tail and clawing at Windy bee to no avail. Windy bee knew that all of this would happen
Suddenly, Windy bee made themselves float a little, giving them and Vicious bee a distance. Vicious bee was too slow to notice the change and the ground they were about to hit
Windy bee hovered in the air as per usual. The skies of their realm had turned overcast, due to Windy bee’s partial internal serenity
Vicious bee groaned and growled once again before leaping into the air once again. Windy bee summoned two hurricanes, each rolling on opposite sides
The hurricanes collided into one as the sped towards Vicious bee. Vicious bee swiftly flapped their wings to avoid the gigantic rolling hurricane
Windy bee eyed the vicious dragon as they were running from the big hurricane. Windy bee knew Vicious bee was focused on escaping the hurricane, so they calculated when Vicious Bee will reach a point in their tracks to send a huge gust of wind which blew Vicious bee right off their wings
Windy bee decided to switch up their style; they were going to use their claws and teeth
Windy bee darted towards Vicious bee, front arms reached out and roaring. Vicious bee was still trying to shake off some dust from their wings, and hence, did not expect Windy bee to strike at such a random time
Windy bee rolled around, clawing every exposed spot they could find and chomped on their opponent’s wings as hard as possible
This combo of attacks threw Vicious bee completely off-guard, giving them less time to react
Eventually, Vicious bee caught on and slapped Windy bee with one powerful swing of their tail
Windy bee rolled across the ground before getting into a position similar to a cat
Vicious bee saw this and conjured up a spike, placing it in the talon on their right wing
Windy bee shook their head around, shaking the dirt off their long slender whiskers
Vicious bee walked slowly towards Windy bee, holding another spike in their other wing talon
Vicious bee thought that Windy bee had given up, so they decided to defeat Windy bee in the most extreme way they could come up with
Windy bee stared, wide eyed, using the most of their knowledge in psychology to seem as helpless as possible, even exposing their pupils for a brief moment.
What a fool. Windy bee thought
This was it. Vicious bee thought. I will finally defeat Windy bee once and for all! And I will claim the title of the best dragon in the history of the world!
Vicious bee was now standing directly in front of them now, menacingly holding the conjured spikes in their wing talons. “So long, Malevolent Tempest.”
Windy bee closed their eyes, as if accepting defeat, before darting out of the way as soon as Vicious bee threw the spikes onto the ground
”Huh!?” Vicious bee shouted. They glanced around for any sign of Windy bee
Unfortunately for Vicious bee, Windy bee was right behind them
”How gullible,” Windy bee’s smooth and soft voice caught Vicious bee off-guard just as Windy bee pushed Vicious bee off the cliff they were on
The skies of the realm were dark clouds with no rain
Vicious bee didnt let themself hit the ground, they extended their wings and curled forwards and aggressively flapped their wings to boost themselves into the air. I can’t let them win again! Vicious bee angrily thought. They boosted themselves a little more and then dived at Windy bee
Vicious bee’s dive caught Windy bee unexpectedly, allowing Vicious bee to crash into Windy bee, causing both of them to roll around
Vicious bee roared while beating their wings and clawing at Windy bee aggressively. Windy bee knew that this was one of their other tactics, and swiftly dodged each and one of them before whacking Vicious bee off with their tail
The dragon of a stinger got up as they tumbled across the ground, leaping at Windy bee. However, Windy bee wriggled into the air, barely avoiding the attack
Windy bee used the time to nonchalantly used a talon to wipe the dirt off the three pairs of spirit petals at their cheek. That was also when Windy bee realised they were going to have to rely on claws and teeth if they wanted to win
Vicious bee decided they had enough. They jumped into the air summoned an array of spikes with their Deathwhistle. The armed dragon then speeded towards Windy bee, sending one spike at a time
Windy bee caught onto the tactic that Vicious bee was using, and also jumped into the air, but didn’t summon anything. Instead, they blew puffs of wind just enough to send the spikes falling to the ground
One by one, the spikes descended to the floor, showing that Vicious bee’s attack was to no avail
Vicious bee realised and turned absolutely furious
The Call of the Vicious roared and roared as they spun around in the air. After a lot of spinning and roaring, they finally reappeared from the whirlwind they created; a gifted version
Strange. They’ve never done that before. Clearly they aren’t heeding their own words. Windy bee thought, recalling Vicious bee’s words of not needing to change their tactics
Windy bee enveloped themselves in a whirlwind before and swiftly turned into their gifted form as well. They immediately leapt at Vicious bee once they transformed
Vicious bee dodged and summon a trio of spikes and sent them at Windy bee
Windy bee soared into the sky, dodging the spikes as well. Sending a stronger gust of wind than before
Vicious bee briefly covered themselves with their wings, and summoned five spikes once they stretched their wings. The spikes’ positions were arranged into a semi-circle around the top of Vicious bee’s head
Windy bee moved to the right, snorted and sent a stronger hurricane at Vicious bee. However, they threw the spikes at the hurricane, causing the hurricane to vanish
The two then clashed into each other as claws scrapped armour and scales. Light blood leaked from each other. Talons waving around and tails thrashing around
Spikes flew and gusts of wind blew them away. Hurricanes speeded across while spikes penetrated them
Windy bee kept dodging each and every attack that was sent at them. Vicious bee persistently sent the same attacks over and over again while also trying to grab Windy bee despite not learning their mistake from earlier
Suddenly, Vicious bee had enough
Mid air, Vicious bee roared at the top of their lungs, a roar akin to the Deathwhistle but signalling a more dangerous caller
Upon using the stronger Deathwhistle, a huge semi-circle of spikes summoned itself and lined Vicious bee’s neck, wings, tail and elbows
Windy bee stared at Vicious bee, wide-eyed. Vicious bee had used this tactic on their third time fighting Precise bee, which earned Vicious bee their ultimate victory. Windy bee knew this because after Precise bee’s duel with Vicious bee, Precise bee weakly approached Windy bee to warn them of that attack
They remember the fear in Precise bee’s eyes as they explained everything that happened in that duel, adding a note that Vicious bee was certainly going to use that strategy on Windy bee when they had enough
Windy bee took a deep breath, and stayed calm
Vicious bee spun in a circle and darted towards Windy bee, sending two of the spikes towards Windy bee
Windy bee backed off and sent a hurricane to take the spikes away before using a strong gust of wind to push Vicious bee away
Windy bee slammed into Vicious bee’s stomach, with the intention of giving them a sting of agony, before biting an exposed part of their hind leg and clawed at their stomach
Windy bee then darted away just as Vicious bee sent two pairs of spikes that were initially lining their wings
Windy bee rolled their eyes as they evaded the spikes, just to realise they were homing spikes. One of them impaled their foot, causing them to screech in pain as they commanded the winds to take it out. The other spikes were escorted away by the wind
The skies of the realm were darker than before, with some lightning every once in a while
Windy bee’s eyes showed an expression of anger and focus. They sent three powerful hurricanes rolling towards Vicious bee as Windy bee knew they were not going to waste spikes to nullify the hurricanes
The two rolled around, roars and spikes pierced the air as gusts of wind silenced them. Jaws snapped and talons waved as the two continuously clashed into each other
Windy bee stayed elegant and graceful throughout fight as much as possible, beautifully evading the homing spikes before shooting them out of the sky like an arrow to a bird with a small puff of wind
Windy bee knew that if they successfully did this enough times, Vicious bee would absolutely lose it and give up. However, the outcome was unpredictable, and not what Windy bee expected…
Windy bee rolled away from Vicious bee after shooting down the spike that lined the tip of their tail. Vicious bee was absolutely furious at the situation, so much so they activated a Deathwhistle so loud that Windy bee had to cover an ear
Windy bee expected Vicious bee to give up on the spot, but it seems they had other plans…
Vicious bee suddenly summoned the spikes to line the same parts of their body. Instead, there were three layers, meaning triple the number of spikes
Windy bee stared, wide eyed. Suddenly, an idea popped into the tempest’s head. “Here goes nothing.”
Windy bee twirled around in the air, pouring their rage and emotion into the skies above. The skies responded as they shifted to a stormy atmosphere of fury. Lightning spread across the lands, stomping every inch of land available
Suddenly, the winds shifted. The winds threatened to carry Vicious bee all the way to who knows where, but they persevered the storm
Meanwhile, Windy bee caused the original three hurricanes to vanish, before summoning ten hurricanes. Despite their lack of visible emotion, Vicious bee could tell that Vicious bee was sick of them
Vicious bee then noticed what Windy bee had done, and fear was somewhat shown in their eyes. Vicious bee refused to acknowledge their fear and charged at Windy bee. Windy bee doing the same
The moment the two collided, a pair of spikes and a hurricane crashed into each other, knocking the both of them back. The hurricane danced around Vicious bee, pulling them around like a spinning toy
Vicious bee furiously threw their hand out and clawed at the hurricane, causing it to vanish
Windy bee sent another hurricane to throw Vicious bee higher into the air, catch them and spin-throw them away as if they were a pest. Vicious bee roared at that attack and sent five spikes at Windy bee
Windy bee elegantly dodged the spikes and added another five hurricanes to their roster
Vicious bee roared again and sent a third of their spikes at Windy bee as they charged at them
Windy bee charged away from Vicious bee just as Vicious bee were about to fall onto them, sending three hurricanes to trap Vicious bee in their place
Windy bee didnt forget about the homing spikes charging at them and swiftly used the wind to freeze them before throwing them onto Vicious bee, piercing their back pretty roughly
Vicious bee shrieked in agony and clawed through the hurricanes before escaping Windy bee’s elemental grasp
This exchange of spike sending and hurricane blowing continued for God bee knows how long
Suddenly, Vicious bee completely exploded. “THATS IT. IM SETTLING THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL.”
Vicious bee emitted a Deathwhistle as loud as the last time. However, instead of three layers of spikes, they summoned four layers, and an entire wall
Windy bee hovered there without a care in the world
”Thats it? You’re just going to hover there and not summon… like a million hurricanes!?” Vicious bee shouted
Windy bee’s sighed and gently shook their head. Then, they bowed their head. “You already won, claim your victory by striking my heart with those spikes. Pierce each and every scale of mine with it. Take my body and boast all you want. Permission is yours.”
Vicious bee laughed, before sending all the spikes hurling towards Windy bee
This was how the tempest would fall, from the greatest storm of thunder and pelting rain, to the best of a short drizzle, a former shell of what they were. A tempest that made everyone cower and submit in fear, to a tempest who lets the spikes pierce them to death. From the first duel of defeat, to the last duel of victory. Or so what Vicious bee hoped
Just as the spikes were about to pierce Windy bee’s chest, the winds suddenly froze all the spikes in place. Vicious bee stared, wide-eyed, even showing their pupils
Windy bee kept their head in that position. At first they snickered, which turned into a louder giggle, which then turned into bright laughter, before becoming a cackle of craziness
Vicious bee stared at their opponent, wide-eyed, pupils shown, confusion in their eyes. “Wha— How?”
Suddenly, the spikes cracked to face Vicious bee. Windy bee raised their head a little. “Times up.”
Windy bee raised their head to the storming clouds, smiling manically. They gestured with their talon as if beckoning. “One of you, come down here.” Their voice wasn’t smooth or gentle anymore, it was sharp with power
Suddenly, the cloud transformed into one big hurricane, which split into at least twenty smaller ones. The spikes all lined themselves around the hurricanes
Windy bee lowered their head to face Vicious bee, who was lower than them
“Run and screech the Deathwhistle all you want. In the end, Call of the Vicious is no match for Malevolent Tempest.”
Then, Windy bee raised their right arm and pulled it downwards. The hurricanes crashed into one another as they sped towards Vicious bee
Vicious bee hovered there. Precise bee was right, Windy bee was right, everyone was right. No one in the entire world could possibly defeat Windy bee. And even if they could, they would come out there all bruised and hurt
As they continued to hover there as the hurricane tumbled towards them, they then realised; maybe in another universe, they weren’t the stubborn fool everyone knew of. Maybe they would have reflected on each duel and improved. Maybe the improvements would allow them to beat Windy bee. Maybe if they just listened
It was too late for any of that, Windy bee had given them so many chances and yet they took all of it for granted, repeating the same mistakes over and over again, doing so only because they had the wrong view, the wrong perspective, the wrong opinion
Vicious bee reflected on everything that had happened. Remorse and regret only built up in them at that moment. They closed their eyes to accept the fate waiting for them. But they weren’t going to loose their cool just yet
The hurricane crashed into ground together with them. An explosion occured when they crashed, causing a crater with a very hurt Vicious bee lying in it
Vicious bee coughed and got up, but even balancing was impossible for them. They decided to just lay down
Windy bee spun towards Vicious bee, landing on the ground gracefully and perfectly. “Hello there.” Windy bee’s soft and gentle voice returned
Vicious bee snarled. “YOU!”
”Yes, me?”
”YOU ARE SUCH A FOOL FOR THINKING I WOULDN’T TRY TO RETURN TOMORROW! YOU USED THAT POWERFUL ATTACK TO MAKE ME REALISE I SHOULDN’T COME BACK!” Vicious bee yelled
”No and yes. To be honest, you were the fool for not learning from your mistakes,” Windy bee said
”YOU— AAAAARGHHHHH! ARE JUST SO INFURIATING!” Vicious bee yelled
”It’s your fault for coming here everyday,” Windy bee told Vicious bee, pretending to tap their nose
”I WILL COME BACK HERE EVERY SINGLE DAY UNTIL I DEFEAT YOU! UNTIL A SPIKE PIERCES YOUR HEART AND MAKES IT MINE!” Vicious bee yelled
”How funny.”
”ITS NOT FUNNY! I DON’T EVEN LIKE YOU!”
Windy bee rolled their eyes. “You need to realise something.”
”WHAT!?”
”You need to stop being so stubborn. Please, the reason you aren’t defeating me is because you’re so stubborn, turning a deaf air to every advice someone gives, if you actually listened, you may have beaten me on your 6th or 7th try, maybe even the first,” Windy bee commented. “You also need to stop being so predictable. How you may ask? Using different tactics of course.” Windy bee giggled a little
”WHATS WITH THE GIGGLING!?” Vicious bee yelled as they stood up
”Laughingstock.”
”ITS NOT FUNNY—“
”GET OUT OF MY REALM AND NEVER COME BACK YOU IDIOTIC STUBBORN FOOL,” Windy bee yelled back, their tone completely off the charts and pupils slit and showing
Vicious bee stared at Windy bee, they had never seen the tempest so mad
Windy bee turns their body away ”I mean it. Fly with the storm.” Windy bee snaps their head back. “Lost cause.”
Vicious bee saw Windy bee fly higher than the wind shrine, maybe their nest was actually in the skies
Vicious bee took their claws in front of their eyes, the claw glove allowing them to scratch scratch didn’t feel the same as before, thinking back to the thoughts they had before the hurricane crashed into them
They took the claw gloves on their front arms and gently laid them in the crater. They used their real claws to write the word “Sorry” and then left
