Chapter Text
Rosalyne sat at a bench at the city square of Mondtadt, singing a love song to herself, or anyone who would listen.
The skies were clear, and the air was full of the scent of dandelions set across the city. A soft breeze passed by, knocking off the flower she arranged in her hair.
She bent down to pick it, but another hand reached it first, and held it to her. She looked up at the stranger, and stared in wonder.
A handsome young man stood before her, his long hair tied finely at the back of his head, wearing the Knights Of Favonius' armour.
"Here you are, My Lady." He politely handed her the flower, and she fixed it back in her hair.
"Thank you," She said. "Are you on duty, Sir?"
The knight chuckled. "Not for once." He replied. He sat down next to her on the bench.
"You are the woman who is famous for singing here? I've heard quite a lot about you." He smiled.
Rosalyne shyed away. "Have you? I did not know I have become so popular,"
"You have such a sweet voice, of course you have." She felt her face heat at the compliment.
"You're quite bold with your compliments, I see."
He shrugged lightly. "To anyone who deserves them," He said. "I am Rostam, it's a pleasure to meet you, My Lady." He smiled again, and Rosalyne lost her words.
"Rosalyne," She said in turn. "It's a pleasure to meet you too."
Words were carried across as they sat and talked, as if they known eachother years, like an easy love song.
When Rostam said a polite goodbye and excused himself, Rosalyne felt disappointed, and bored again. She busied herself with singing again, but words came out fumbled.
So, she headed back home, and talked to herself in her room, thinking about the knight.
Eventually, she fell asleep, but even then, she dreamed of him.
And just like the fairytales; Rosalyne was lovestruck on first sight.
