5 times Sunoo didn’t understand what Sunghoon wanted + 1 time he finally did

1.

“Sunoo ya"

“…Hmm?”

Sunghoon stared at him for a little too long before frowning.

“Your ass is getting so fat. Stop eating this mochi"

There was a beat of silence.

“…Hyung, shut up"

Sunoo immediately turned his back, ignoring the rest of Sunghoon’s absolutely unnecessary commentary.

He could practically feel Sunghoon watching him.

Three hours later, just when Sunoo had successfully convinced himself that he was definitely not sulking, a small paper bag was quietly placed beside him.

Sunghoon didn’t meet his eyes.

“I don’t eat this.." he muttered. “So take it"

Sunoo peeked inside.

Dubai chocolate chewy cookies.

His eyes lit up like fireworks.

“HYUUUNG,” Sunoo gasped, clutching the bag to his chest. “THANK YOUUU, I LOVE THESE!!”

Sunghoon froze. His ears turned red in seconds.

“…Eat them all" he said quickly, already walking away.

Sunoo watched his retreating back, smiling to himself, completely missing the way Sunghoon’s lips curved up once he was out of sight.

2.

Sunoo was cold.

Which was unfair, because he was wearing two hoodies.

He rubbed his hands together, pouting slightly, when Sunghoon appeared beside him.

“You’re cold..." Sunghoon stated.

“…yeah?”

Sunghoon didn’t respond. He simply shrugged off his own jacket and draped it over Sunoo’s shoulders.

Sunoo blinked.

“Hyung, what are you doing?”

“You shiver too loud" Sunghoon said, turning away. “It’s distracting"

Sunoo laughed.

“That’s the worst excuse I’ve ever heard"

“Still works"

Sunoo pulled the jacket closer, smiling at how warm it was—how it smelled like Sunghoon.

“…You’re nice today" he said.

Sunghoon stiffened.

“I’m always nice"

“No"

Sunghoon didn’t argue.

Instead, he stayed nearby the rest of the day, glancing over every time Sunoo rubbed his arms like he might take the jacket back.

"Aren't you cold hyung? Take the jacket"

"No. Keep it. I'm not weak and fragile like you" Sunghoon said.

Still Sunoo was thankful.

3.

“Sunoo ya.”

“Hm?”

“Do you remember when you said you were cuter because you wanted me to like you?”

Sunoo nearly dropped his phone.

“First of all.." he snapped, cheeks heating up, “that is NOT what I meant. Second of all, I literally can’t forget because you remind me every. single. day.”

Sunghoon hummed thoughtfully.

“Yeah. Just making sure you remember that you started this"

Sunoo whipped around.

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?!”

Sunghoon just smiled, his dangerous smirk—and walked away.

Sunoo stood there, heart racing for reasons he absolutely refused to analyze.

4.

“I think I know a way you can make me like mint choco" Sunghoon said casually.

Sunoo sighed, already exhausted.

“What is it now, hyung"

Sunghoon didn’t answer.

He only smirked.

And for some reason, Ni-ki—standing nearby—smirked too.

Sunoo felt a deep, instinctual fear.

“…I don’t wanna know" he muttered, backing away.

Sunghoon’s smile widened.

Sunoo ran.

5.

“Sunoo hyung"

“Yeah, Jungwonie?”

“Be a little nicer to Sunghoon hyung,” Jungwon said gently. “He really likes you"

Sunoo frowned.

“I am nice! He just enjoys annoying me"

“Yeah, we know.." Jungwon nodded. “But he really, really likes you"

And then he walked away.

Sunoo stared at the wall.

“…What is wrong with everyone"he grumbled. “Why is everyone babying Sunghoonie hyung when he’s literally a big monkey—”

“Sunooo~”

Sunghoon’s voice echoed across the room.

Sunoo pretended not to hear.

“Suuuunnoooo~ little soft fox peach~”

“…What the hell" Sunoo whispered, diving under the pillows.

“Mozzarella cheese cheeks" Sunghoon continued cheerfully.

“And strawberry lips"

Sunoo shot up.

“HYUNG, WHAT THE ACTUAL—”

“Hahaha" Sunghoon laughed, eyes crinkling. “You’re so cute"

Then he just… walked away.

Sunoo stood there, stunned, heart pounding.

“…Yeah" he muttered to himself, face burning.

“Fucks sake. He likes me"

+1. (The one time he understood)

“What’s wrong, Sunoo?” Jay asked.

“Nothing,” Sunoo said weakly. “Just a headache"

“Probably from staying up all night watching dramas" Sunghoon commented.

“Hyung..." Sunoo sighed, “I’m really not in the mood"

Sunghoon paused.

Then he walked away without another word.

Sunoo immediately felt bad.

But his head was splitting, and regret could wait. He went straight to the dorm, collapsed onto his bed, and drifted into restless sleep.

A while later, the door creaked open.

Sunoo stirred.

He was not in the mood for noise, teasing or anything annoying.

Instead, he saw Sunghoon.

Quiet. Careful.

A bag in his hands.

Sunghoon gently placed drinks, medicine, and neatly packed food onto the desk, glancing at the bed like he thought Sunoo was still asleep.

Something in Sunoo’s chest ached.

He slowly stood up and wrapped his arms around Sunghoon from behind.

Sunghoon stiffened.

“S-Sunoo?”

“Thank you, hyung" Sunoo whispered.

“I—It wasn’t—well it was me but I mean—” Sunghoon stumbled over his words, panicking softly.

Sunoo’s head still hurt.

Sunghoon was still loud.

So Sunoo shut him up the only way he could think of.

He kissed him.

Just once.

Sunghoon went completely silent.

Flustered. Red from ears to cheeks.

Sunoo smiled tiredly.

“…I like you better this way"
