would you comfort me?

Summary:

Cassie gets hurt at work, and Victoria shows up at her doorstep unannounced.

Notes:

This came about because me & @sugarmckay (twt) reached a flow state while talking about McVadi.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Work Text:

Victoria was already halfway out of her chair the moment Dennis’s text came through. There was an incident with Cassie. Aggressive patient. She’s home now. Thought you should know. That was all he sent, nothing more, but it was enough to send a cold rush through her body. Dennis wasn’t dramatic, and he wasn’t the type to text her about something unless he genuinely believed she needed to hear it.

And she did. Because he was the only person she’d ever trusted with the truth about her… whatever it was with Cassie. Calling it a relationship felt too bold; calling it a mistake felt dishonest. The only accurate word was complicated. Victoria was young and inexperienced, still figuring out who she was supposed to be. Cassie was the opposite: older, composed, and carrying the kind of gravity that made people listen when she spoke. But the attraction had been there from day one, simmering under every clipped instruction, every shared glance, every moment Cassie’s hand brushed hers accidentally, or maybe not accidentally at all.

Either way, it’s been there. Just waiting and bubbling.

And then they acted on it. Once.

It had been one of the worst nights of Victoria’s life. Another screaming match with her mother, another round of being told what she should do, who she should be, and how she should plan a future she wasn’t ready to figure out. Victoria tried to explain and asked her to try to understand. Her mother didn’t budge. So Victoria stormed out, shaking and hurt, with nowhere to go. She walked for hours, letting the cold air burn her lungs, letting her anger carry her forward until her feet decided for her.

She ended up at Cassie’s doorstep like a fool.

Everything after that blurred at the edges, softened by the way she’d tried so hard to forget it for the sake of professionalism. But she remembered the important parts. Cassie didn’t lecture her. Didn’t tell her to calm down. She just opened the door, took one look at her, and pulled her inside.

Cassie comforted her with presence, not words. Usually, when Victoria sought reassurance at work, Cassie offered it verbally. But that night, Cassie held her. Let her cry into her shoulder. Rubbed slow circles on her back. Whispered that everything would work out, and because it was Cassie saying it, Victoria believed her.

Then Cassie told her she looked pretty when she cried.

That was the moment everything snapped. Every boundary, every rule, every reason they shouldn’t do this dissolved. They kissed desperately. Kissing led to Cassie’s bedroom, and Cassie’s bedroom led to Victoria’s first orgasm, and Victoria still wasn’t sure how she was supposed to pretend that night didn’t exist.

But somehow, they managed. They went back to work and moved around each other like they hadn’t seen the most vulnerable parts of one another. They didn’t talk about it. They did let their eyes linger too long. It’s the only thing they let themselves have. It was only something they knew.

Well, something they and Dennis knew. Which was why she was grateful he texted her. If she’d found out later that Cassie had been hurt, she would’ve been furious at everyone, including herself.

She grabbed her keys, ignored her mother’s voice calling after her, and walked out the door.

The drive to Cassie’s apartment took about twenty minutes. Cassie lived in the city, in a clean, modern complex close to the Pitt and her son’s school. Victoria had been there before. Babysitting Harrison occasionally had its perks, including access to the building. Still, as she parked and made her way inside, a knot formed in her stomach.

She hadn’t been here since that night. Not properly anyway. And now she was showing up unannounced and possibly unwanted. What if Cassie didn’t want to see her outside of work anymore? What if this crossed a line they’d both been pretending didn’t exist?

If you put them on a scale of who felt worse about what happened, Victoria would land at a six. Not because she regretted it—she didn’t. She’d do it again in a heartbeat. But she knew the consequences. If HR ever found out, it would destroy them both. Cassie would be a ten. The age gap, the power imbalance, the fact that Cassie would also do it again in a heartbeat but couldn’t allow herself to admit it—that was the weight she carried.

Still, Victoria knocked.

For a moment, there was nothing. No footsteps. No sound. Just the thud of her heartbeat in her ears. She almost turned around.

Then the door opened.

Cassie stood there, hair slightly mussed, a faint bruise blooming along her jaw, eyes tired but sharp as ever. She looked surprised, but not angry. Just maybe confused.

Victoria exhaled, tension draining from her shoulders in a slow, shaky wave.

“Hi,” she said softly.

Cassie blinked once, twice, as if grounding herself. “Victoria?”

“I heard about work, and I just wanted to see if you were okay. But I can totally see how that’s not my place, and this is a big overstep on my part, and I can go if you want me to go, I just thought—”

“Victoria.” Cassie’s voice cut cleanly through her rambling. “Do you want to come inside?”

Victoria nodded, too fast, embarrassingly fast. But Cassie didn’t comment. She stepped aside, letting her in. The familiar scent of Cassie’s apartment hit her first: coffee, laundry detergent, and a teenage boy. Then her eyes landed on the couch, the couch where everything between them had shifted, where the line they’d been toeing for months finally snapped.

Cassie bent down to scoop up a few toys scattered across the floor. “Sorry for the mess. Harrison had a couple of friends over this weekend, and I haven’t had time to clean.”

“You could’ve called me,” Victoria said before she could stop herself.

Cassie straightened, giving her a look she couldn’t read. “Why would I do that, Victoria?”

“Because I could’ve helped? I can do more than babysit, you know.”

Cassie stared at her like the very idea of Victoria helping was somehow inconvenient. “Right. Next time I need a housekeeper, I’ll call you.”

“Jesus, you don’t have to be so—”

“So what?” Cassie’s voice sharpened, irritation slipping through, and the sound of it sent a physical jolt through Victoria’s body.

Cassie noticed. She sighed, the tension in her shoulders deflating. “Victoria…why are you here?”

Victoria bit the inside of her cheek. “I told you. I wanted to make sure you’re okay.”

Cassie lifted her arms slightly, as if presenting herself. “I’m fine. The patient wasn’t trying to hurt me. It just happened. They checked me out there, so I’m good.”

“I’m glad,” Victoria said, though she wasn’t sure she believed it. Cassie looked tired in a way she didn’t usually allow herself to look.

Silence settled between them. Cassie’s eyes drifted everywhere except toward her, and that stung more than anything she’d said.

“You know…” Cassie finally murmured, “You could’ve called. Would’ve saved you a trip.”

Cassie was many things: intimidating, frustratingly composed, but she was never cruel. And right now, she was being cruel.

“Okay.” Victoria rolled her eyes and turned toward the door.

“Where are you going?” Cassie’s voice snapped back to life as she whipped around.

“Why?” Victoria demanded. “Why are you being so fucking mean to me?”

“I’m not.”

“Yes, you are! You literally invited me in. If you were going to act like this, why bother?”

“Vic, can you just not act like such a chi—”

“Child?” Victoria barked out a humorless laugh. “Fuck you. Okay? I don’t have to deal with this.”

“Look, I’m sorry.” Cassie stepped closer, her expression softening. “I’m having a shitty day, and I really wasn’t expecting to see you.”

“Don’t take it out on me. I was just worried about you.”

“I know. I know.” Cassie’s voice dropped, almost pleading. “Please don’t leave.”

Victoria hesitated. She always hesitated with Cassie. Always caved. Always stayed.

“Okay,” she said quietly. “What can I do to make you feel better?”

Cassie shrugged, small and tired. “I don’t know. Just… be around.”

Victoria couldn’t stop the smile that tugged at her mouth. She reached out, gently taking Cassie’s hand, and guided her toward the couch.

“Want to watch something?” Victoria asked, grabbing the remote.

Cassie nodded, sinking into the cushions beside her. “Sure. Why not?”

Victoria settled next to her, close but not touching, though the warmth of Cassie’s body radiated across the small space between them. The TV flickered to life, casting soft light across Cassie’s face.

“Cassie.”

Cassie turned her head. “What?”

“Your face is bleeding.” Victoria leaned in, her breath catching when she saw the thin line of red along Cassie’s jaw. “I thought you said they checked you out.”

“It wasn’t worth checking out,” Cassie muttered. “It’s just a bruise, Vadi. It’ll heal.”

“You lied to me.”

Cassie sighed, already pushing herself up. “I’ll clean it. It’s not a big deal.”

Victoria pressed a hand to her shoulder, guiding her back down. “No. Just wait here. I’ll do it.”

“You really don’t have to.”

“Call it extra teaching or whatever.” She stood and headed to the supply closet, grabbing the first‑aid kit, peroxide, and a small towel.

Cassie raised an eyebrow when she returned. “That’s a lot of stuff for a bruised jaw.”

“It needs to be disinfected and looked at carefully.” Victoria rolled her eyes. “Do you work tomorrow?”

“Mhm.”

“Then you should actually get it checked out. I’ll just clean it for now.”

“Whatever you say, Doctor.” Cassie didn’t look away from her, not even for a second.

Victoria stepped closer, trying to figure out the best angle. “Do you mind if I… sit on your lap to do this?” Her cheeks warmed. “It’s just easier to reach.”

Cassie didn’t respond at first. Then she nodded slowly. “Uhmm… sure.”

“Don’t make this weird, Cass.”

“I literally didn’t say anything.”

Victoria settled more on Cassie’s leg than her lap, angling herself so she could reach her jaw. She placed a gentle hand on Cassie’s cheek, lifting her face toward the light. She poured peroxide onto the towel and dabbed carefully.

Cassie winced.

“Sorry,” Victoria murmured, wiping away the dried blood. “Are you okay?”

“As best as I can be.”

“If it hurts too bad, tell me.”

Victoria shifted closer without meaning to, her body brushing Cassie’s leg as she worked. Cassie’s eyes stayed locked on her, unwavering, and it made Victoria’s hands feel clumsy, her breath uneven.

“You’re doing so well,” Cassie said softly.

“Stop. I don’t need praise.”

“Really? I thought that’s what got you going.” Cassie’s gaze flicked downward, quick but unmistakable.

Victoria froze. “Cass…”

“Hm?” Cassie looked back up with a small, infuriating smile.

“You’re annoying.”

“And you’re soaking my leg.”

Victoria’s face went hot. She hadn’t realized how turned on she was, how close everything felt. She swallowed hard. “Just be quiet. I need to focus.”

“Sure.”

She kept cleaning, trying to ignore the way Cassie’s breath brushed her collarbone, the way Cassie’s hands rested lightly on her hips as if to steady her. The room felt too warm, too quiet.

After a moment, Cassie’s fingers tightened slightly at her waist, pulling her just a little closer.

“Cassie!” Victoria hissed, startled.

“What?” Cassie’s voice was low and tired but threaded with something else, something unguarded. “Look… you can fuss over me all you want. I’m not stopping you.”

Victoria blinked, thrown off. “Then what was that for?”

Cassie exhaled, eyes softening. “I just… wanted you closer. That’s all.”

Victoria’s heart thudded painfully. “You could’ve said that.”

“I’m saying it now.”

The air between them shifted, full of everything they weren’t supposed to want. Victoria’s hand lingered on Cassie’s jaw longer than necessary, her thumb brushing the uninjured skin.

Cassie didn’t move. Didn’t pretend she didn’t feel it too.

“Vadi,” she murmured, voice barely above a whisper, “you don’t have to run every time things get complicated.”

Victoria swallowed. “You’re one to talk. Isn't that your whole thing?

“No,” Cassie’s fingers flexed gently at her waist. “Things were complicated.”

“Yeah, no shit. But you were the one to get all weird.”

Cassie didn’t respond at first; she just kept holding her waist. “Sorry for being so weird,” she said with a low voice, almost guilty.

God, she was annoying.

Victoria moved the towel away from Cassie’s face. And looked at her. Really looked at her. She wanted to wipe the guilty look from her face. She wanted Cassie to want her without all the guilt.

Without much thought, she began to move against Cassie’s leg. Her clothed clit rubbed against the jeans Cassie was wearing.

“Fuck.” Cassie groaned, feeling Victoria’s center grind against her.

“Be quiet. And let me finish.” Victoria said before going back to treating Cassie’s wounds. But she hadn’t let up on grinding against her.

Victoria tried her hardest to keep quiet. Not letting Cassie know just how much she was enjoying this. This was the first time she had felt any sexual pleasure since her last time with Cassie, and it felt good knowing she was in control this time.

“Vic…”  Cassie mumbled, obviously more wrecked at this than Victoria was. Victoria moved faster; she wasn’t really cleaning anymore. Cassie’s face was fine for the most part. The towel fell out of Victoria’s hand and onto the ground.

It felt like Cassie snapped. She stopped holding everything back because she pulled Victoria into a rough kiss. Which definitely didn’t help the pain in her jaw, but she didn’t care. Most of it was just teeth and spit, as if they were fighting each other with their mouths. Everything they’ve been keeping inside was all coming out.

“God,” Victoria muttered after pulling away, her voice low. “Are you sure we should be doing this?”

“You tell me you started it.” Cassie let out a breath. Victoria didn’t respond with words; she fully began to grind against Cassie’s leg. Her entire leg was getting soaked with her arousal.

Even with the clothes between them. They both could feel just how wet Victoria really was. She could come from this feeling alone. She wanted to come all over Cassie’s leg and make her watch.

“Am I making you feel better?” Victoria moaned into her shoulder.

Cassie nodded. “Lift your arms.” Victoria obeyed as Cassie helped her out of her shirt. Once it was on the ground, Cassie kissed her neck and around her chest. “You’re so fucking beautiful, Vadi.”

Victoria felt herself clench up and tighten, and before she knew it, she was coming.

She was so pent up that the idea of coming from dry humping alone didn’t completely embarrass her.

“Quick,” Cassie said, pulling back from her chest. “You alright?”

Victoria nodded, getting off her and falling into the spot next to her on the couch.

“Is your face okay?” Victoria asked after she finally caught up with her breathing.

“Yeah. I’ll still get it checked out, but I’m fine.” Cassie looked down at the mess on her legs. “Great, more laundry.”

Victoria rolled her eyes. “I'm glad you're feeling better. So now you can fuck me properly.”

Cassie turned her head towards Victoria, who was looking at her with such hunger. She definitely was one to turn down the offer. It’s not like that line hasn’t been crossed before, and it’s not like she didn’t want to. She really did; she wanted to stretch her in a way she’s never been.

A small smile appeared on her face. Victoria didn’t understand why. “Go in the bedroom; I’ll join you in a second.”

“Where are you going?” Victoria asked, not making any movement to get off the couch.

“Just go and don’t do anything. I want to finish undressing you myself.” Cassie said with a smirk as she walked off towards the end of the hall.

Victoria thought about being stubborn and following her, but instead she got up and headed towards Cassie’s bedroom. She ignored the discomfort from the slick between her legs. Once inside, she looked around. She hadn’t been inside here since the last time they found themselves in this exact position.

On the nightstand, there was a picture of Cassie and Harrison. She turned it over. She sat down on the bed and waited.

And waited.

Where the fuck did she go?

About another five minutes had passed before Cassie finally appeared in the doorway with a bag.

“Took you long enough,” Victoria said with a pout.

“Sorry, I was looking for this,” she said, raising the bag for her to see.

“What’s that?”

“A toy.”

“Well, I assume that, what kind?”

“A strap-on,” Cassie whispered.

Victoria’s mouth dropped open. That’s the last thing she was expecting. Not that she wouldn’t want to try it; she just didn’t expect it to be so soon.

“Yeah.” Cassie shifted from one foot to the other like a nervous child. “Is that okay with you?”

Victoria took a moment to respond. But eventually she nodded.

Cassie fully came into the room and placed the bag on the ground next to the bed before getting on and capturing Victoria in a kiss. “We can go at your pace. And we can stop when you want.”

Victoria moaned into the kiss. She pulled Cassie closer, not wanting to be apart from her anymore. “You know I trust you.”

Cassie shrugged. “I know, but still… It’s a lot.”

Victoria pushed her back a little. “You think I can’t handle you?”

She chuckled in response. “I didn’t say that.”

Victoria raised an eyebrow. This was all much hotter for her now that it felt like a challenge.

Cassie runs her tongue around her throat. “I know you can take it,” she murmurs against her.

“Well, go put it on.”

Cassie leaned in for a couple more kisses before finally pulling away and making a mess of herself as she struggled to take off her shoes and pants. Victoria just watched her giggling like it was the funniest thing ever.

“Okay, don’t laugh. I know this isn’t very sexy, but still.”

“Cass, I think you’re sexy when you do things as mundane as charting.”

“Right, I guess I have to wrap my head around that one.” Finally, Cassie slipped out of her pants and was just in her boxers.

Victoria looked at her in all of her doe-eyed adoration. Cassie opened the bag and pulled out the harness and the dildo. It was purple. Victoria almost said something immature like purple was her favorite color but decided otherwise.

Once Cassie put it on, Victoria’s mouth began to water. The most she’s ever done is Cassie’s fingers, so this was for sure a step up. She was definitely too tight, and she was starting to think it might not fit.

Cassie climbed back on the bed and, with one hand, took off Victoria’s bra. She rolls one of her nipples between her fingers and plants open-mouthed kisses on her neck.

She pinches one of her nipples, eliciting a moan. “I feel like I could barely touch you and you’d just be a mess.”

That wasn’t a lie. Victoria just whined as Cassie kept alternating between her nipples. “Cassie, please just…” she breathes out.

“Please, what?”

“Cassie.” Victoria’s voice was stern. She got the hint because she kissed down her stomach before pulling away from her and sitting down.

“Climb on my lap.”

Victoria obeyed, settling down on her lap. Cassie reached down into the bag and pulled out lube.

“I'm sure I'm wet enough.”

“You would think…” Cassie replied, before pouring some on her hand and wrapping it around a cock.

“It’s your first time, so how about you ride me?” Cassie asked, carefully looking at her eyes to make sure this was all really okay.

Victoria nodded. Cassie had Victoria lift herself up before lining her cock up with her entrance. Victoria lowers herself slowly onto the strap, and she moans softly.

“You got this…” Cassie coos as she watches Victoria’s cunt swallow every inch of her.

Cassie wiped the tear from her eyes. “You know what that does to me, baby.”

“Can you move?” she asked, holding Victoria’s waist.

Victoria nodded and made a pathetic noise as she began to ride Cassie. She was slow at first, painfully slow, because she was still adjusting to something so big and full inside of her. But she worked herself up to a steady rhythm and buried her head into Cassie’s neck, moaning loudly in her ear.

Cassie held her waist, keeping her steady, and began to take control over how fast she was going. She rocked her back and forth on her cock, more quickly than before. Victoria’s breast was rubbing against her own as she did so.

Cassie began to thrust up into her. She moved some of Victoria’s hair out of the way so she could keep looking at her as Victoria is fucking herself on her cock.

“You’re taking me really well, Vadi.” The sight of Victoria on her cock, hardly able to form words, was sending Cassie to a place she’s never been before.

And for Victoria, nothing has ever felt this good before. Nothing, Cassie has literally ruined sex for her.

“Fuck Cass…” was all she was able to say. Cassie could tell by her eyes that Victoria’s second orgasm was coming. She slowed down her hips. “Let me control you fully ok?”

Victoria nodded. Cassie stilled her completely before moving her up and down her cock. Victoria couldn’t tell what she liked more, riding Cassie’s cock or bouncing on it.

“There we go… so pretty.” Cassie moved her up and down at a quick pace, hardly letting her catch her breath. She wanted to watch her come; she wanted her cunt to be dripping down her cock. She wanted to come inside her. Ruin her for anyone else.

Cassie puts two fingers inside her mouth. “Quiter Vadi, I have neighbors,” but Cassie didn’t slow down the speed.

Victoria was so close. By now, she was a complete mess, and she began to clench around her cock. “Cassie, please.” She felt like she was begging. “Please.”

Cassie didn’t slow down, but she gave her a nod, letting her know it was okay for her to come. Victoria’s second orgasm not only came harder than the first one, but it lasted a lot longer. Cassie fucked her until she milked everything out of her. Then Victoria slumped against her chest.

Cassie came undone just soon after Victoria. Every single inappropriate thought of Victoria being filled with her own come came into her mind. One of the few things men gave her envy over.

“You did so well,” Cassie whispered in her ear. She didn’t make any movement to pull out of Victoria; she let her catch her breath and just breathe. Victoria had fully cried when she came. It was something Cassie was never going to forget.

Once both of them came down from their high, Cassie pulled out of her. Victoria winced at the loss of the feeling.

“I’m going to be so sore.” Victoria finally said afer awhile.

Cassie laughed. “Yeah, but a hot shower could help with it a little.” She stood up to take off the harness and set it down on the bag. Before climbing back in bed. “But for now, just lie with me.”

They got under the covers and wrapped themselves around each other. “How do you really feel about this?”

Victoria thought for a while. “It hurt a lot. But it was also really nice. Like, really nice.”

Cassie smiled. “Next time I’ll fuck you more properly.”

Victoria’s face faltered. “Next time? There’s not going to be an awkward silence after this?”

Cassie sighed. “I apologize for that, you know I am. But you’re not innocent either; you pretend it didn’t happen.”

“Only because I knew it was what you wanted.” Victoria looked up at her. “I’m afraid of the consequences, of course I am. But I also can’t not want you.”

“It’s just… You have so much going on in your life.” Cassie shook her head.

“Yeah. And you being around makes it all easier. And if you were going to run again, then you really shouldn’t have done this with me.”

Cassie tilted her head. “Not saying that I was, but… why?”

“Because we’re soul‑tied. Or at least I am. You were my first. You literally give me heartburn. You took something from me that I gave you, and all I’m asking in return is that you don’t throw that away.”

Cassie looked at her for a long moment. Guilt. Sadness. Confusion. Even happiness flickered across her face all at once. “Honestly, Vadi… I don’t think I could give you up if I tried.”

Victoria kissed her bruise. “Then don’t. I’m not running if you’re not.”

Cassie kissed her fully. “No more running.”

Victoria nodded. “Good, because I can’t handle that again.” And Cassie understood that.

“Thank you, Victoria,” Cassie said with a soft, content smile.

“For what?”

“For showing up unannounced. For being worried. For being you.”

Victoria’s voice gentled. “Thank you for letting me.”
