Work Text:
Will fiddles with his hands, he’s no where near ready for what he’s about to do. He’s just completely lied to everyone he loves and knows, his mother, his best friends, even his science teacher. But he knows he’s an idiot, he’s an idiot to have called Mike Wheeler his Tammy. Tammy is nothing but a hallway crush, Mike is anything other than a crush.
He’s everything, everything Will could have ever dreamed of.
The boy stands in front of him, completely oblivious as to what is going on.
“I like you, Mike. No, actually, I have been in love with you for five years.”
Mike stares at him blankly, causing Will to feel a little shameful. He should have kept it to himself, made himself believe it’s a crush.
“Wait, you’re gay?” Mike throws his hands to the top of his head, face flushing read. Will is engaged, did Mike not listen at all? He literally said to a room of maybe FIFTEEN people that he DOESN’T like girls.
“Yes Mike what the fuck.”
Mike flushes even more red by now.
“I love you too, Will. I have for a very long time, it’s gotten too hard to hide.”
A can of fizzy drink seems to have exploded near by, and they can hear it fizzing out. Right now they don’t care, Mike pulls him into a tight embrace, kissing his lips slowly and smoothly.
The love between them both transfers through their mouths.
They grow up, and when marriage is legalised, they get married as soon as humanely possible. They adopt beautiful baby girl, who they named byler.
