The Five Dumb Devils' headquarter (a.k.a Arekushisu's garage) was a mess : papers scattered across the floor, a big whiteboard with “Objective : EkuMiko” written on it in red, a plastic box with a fluffy pink blanket in it for Youka and opened snack boxes on a wobbly table.
Ayumi entered, dragging a confused Bird by the hand.
Bird, confused : Why did you drag me here ?
Ayumi : To talk to you about somethin'.
Bird, getting more confused, looked around the room.
Bird, even more confused : Why is there a white board with pictures of Ekusu and Kumiko ?!
Ayumi : You'll see soon. Anyway, if we're here today, it's for you.
She motioned towards a chair.
Ayumi : Sit.
Bird sat on the chair. Ayumi turned the board around. On the other side of the board was written “Bird x Multi ???” in red with pictures.
Bird, blushing and confused : H-huh ?!?
Ayumi : Bird, be honest with me. What do you feel towards Multi ?
Bird : N-nothing !!
Ayumi pinched the bridge of her nose and muttered something that suspiciously sounded like “Oh my gosh, what am I going to do with two dumbasses, first Ekusu and now him ??”.
Clearly, she's done with being a matchmaker.
She pulled out her laptop, the same with the proofs that EkuMiko will become reality. It was a plain black laptop with dozens of stickers. Our tired matchmaker unlocked the laptop and went to the folders explorer. She opened a folder named “Bird x Multi ???”. It contained far less pictures than the “all the evidences that EkuMiko will be canon one day” one.
Ayumi : I've been watching you, y'know. The way you look at Multi, I've seen it countless times before. I know it doesn't make me an expert, but I've been around my bro and Mairu enough to recognize it. And, let's be real, you're not really subtle…
No response from Persona's leader.
Ayumi : No response, I see. I was right, wasn't I ?
Bird : …Maybe ?
Ayumi sighed.
Ayumi : Your “maybe” was pratically a confirmation.
She turned off her laptop.
Ayumi : So, let's try to confess to her, 'kay ?
Bird looked hesitant.
Ayumi : Bird. If you don't try, you will regret it. She deserves to know what your feelings towards her are, don't you think ?
Bird, still hesitant : …Yeah.
Ayumi grinned.
Ayumi : Alright, lover boy !
Bird blushed lightly, got up and started to head out of the garage. Ayumi's grin widened as she mumbled “You won't be deceived…”.
Ayumi went out of the garage, with a shit eating grin.
They walked side by side for a moment, until Bird spoke up.
Bird : So, why were there pictures of Ekusu with Kumiko on the board ? And with a ship name ?
Ayumi, grinning even more : Isn't it obvious ? They love each other, but these two dumbasses won't confess unless we push them a bit.
Bird : How can you be so… so sure about it ?
Ayumi, smiling softly : Ekusu himself told me. And I know my sis, plus she told me. Don't you wonder about the real reason behind why 'Miko lied ?
Bird : You mean…?
Ayumi : Yeah. That's part of the reason why.
After that, they stayed silent.
Bird was processing everything : Ayumi saw his real feelings towards Multi, and was currently taking him to confess to her. That was definitely a lot. Poor Bird didn't know what to think.
They continued to walk until they reached Komaba Sushi. They entered and saw Ekusu sitting at the counter with Kumiko. Kumiko looked up as she heard the door opening.
Kumiko : You're back !
Then, she asked Bird.
Kumiko : She didn't traumatise you, did she ?
Bird : No, I'm alright.
Multi appeared downstairs. She was probably in her and Kumiko's shared room. Ayumi smirked devilishly.
Ayumi : Hey, Multi, can we talk to you for a sec ? In private ?
Multi : Okay !
She led Bird and Ayumi to her and Kumiko's shared room.
Multi : So, what did you want to tell me ?
Ayumi : Well… Me, nothing but Bird…
At her words, Bird literally went from “nervous” to “flustered mess”.
Bird : W-well… Multi, I- You-
He inhaled and exhaled.
Bird : Y-you're one of the most X-traordinary person I've ever met… Pretty, kind, talented… And… I think I… I think I like you…
Ayumi looked like she was ready to explode while Multi… Welp, let's just say she's almost matching Hells Hammer color.
Multi : You… you like me…?
Bird : Y-yes…
The room was silent. Then…
Multi : Bird… You said you like me, right ?
Bird : Yeah…
Multi : I… I like you too !
For another second, the room was silent. Then…
Kumiko : FUCKING FINALLY !!!
Kumiko was standing here with Ekusu.
Bird, startled : H-HUH ?
Kumiko : I THOUGHT YOU TWO WERE HOPELESS !!!
Ayumi : Like you're one to talk ! When will you finally confess to Eku-
She didn't get to finish her sentence. Why ? She got whacked with a pillow by her twin. Ayumi's expression turned dark and took another pillow.
Ayumi : Bring it on, you dumbass.
As the twins started their pillow war, Bird and Multi discreetly ran away. They found themselves outside of Komaba Sushi, hand in hand, smiling. This surely was the weirdest day of their lives, but in the end, they were together.
