The sound of vomit could be heard coming from the bathroom that you just happen to be in.. For context, you were playing with your 5 year old son Ayaru! he was such a sweet boy and was always polite and respectful towards others and their boundaries, but that's not important now.. Right after playing with Ayaru you have the sudden urge to vomit which you quickly dash into the bathroom leaving your son in utter confusion, as all you could hear from behind the bathroom door was
"Mommy are you okay there..? You ran off and left me.."
god why did he have to sound so adorable when sad?! After spewing up for the last time you open the door to your slightly curly haired son with a worried look on his adorable small face. He must've been so worried about you..
"I'm okay sweetie don't worry about me..! I was just a bit sick and had the urge to go straight to the bathroom that's all honey.."
You tried to sound as sweet as possible knowing there was a horrible after taste in your mouth which sickens you even more.. "Now you go play alone for a bit while i sort out something okay? Dada will be home soon so he can check out your new drawings you made for him!" You try to change the subject so your son Ayaru doesn't get worried as you see him run off into the living room. Phew thank god... When Ayaru disappears you knew exactly why you threw up... As for two weeks ago, you had taken a pregnancy test as you were unsure on why you were getting sick all the time, you had thought nothing off it till the signs had gotten clearer and clearer each second. so when you took it one of your worst nightmares came true..
You were pregnant AGAIN. Now there's nothing wrong with being pregnant BUT you weren't sure if it was your loving and caring husband's child.. You couldn't remember doing anything intimate with him which is one of the worst parts, and not to mention how distant you've been with your husband Komaeda!! You think he's onto you which gets you paranoid, as every little thing you do, you get instantly nervous and sweaty.. But then again that could just be pregnancy hormones acting up and being all nervous and snappy..! As soon as you collect all your thoughts you hear the front door being opened by none other than your husband Nagito! As soon as you hear that door whoosh open you can't help but feel a sense of panic and discomfort. Suddenly you hear your son speaking with Nagito about how you threw up again. Nagito is gonna be worried again and blame himself for not keeping an eye on you, which is the least you want to hear.. You hear Nagito walking upstairs to the bathroom you were in with your tired eyes.
"Again…? Ah… I see. Of course something like that would happen to you my hope.. i’m sorry i wasn't there… It must be my rotten luck brushing off on you.."
Oh boyy here comes your husband degrading himself because he wasn't there.. But if you were being honest it did make you feel cared about knowing he went straight to you after speaking to Ayaru, awe how sweet of him..
"I'm fine now Ko.. I'm just a bit tired from the whole session.."
You tried to sound like you were okay but you ended up sounding more tired and gloomy than you were before. Holy crap you're definitely gonna get caught red handed after what your son told Nagito..
"You're not fine i can hear it in your voice you don't have to lie to me..."
He says that almost calmly, but too calm that it sounds almost out of anger in a way. You give him a fake smile to try and make him brush it off, but you knew by heart that wouldn't happen knowing Komaeda. After all he was a very smart man and would catch onto things very easily which meant you would be caught sooner or later, unless he was distracted by something else important like his son. But that doesn't let you off the hook too easily at all. You need to be extra careful with everything you do around your husband which is a huge pain..
"You should drink more water.. It's the only thing that's been keeping you stable for the past few weeks now.."
His voice was laced with worry now, you could definitely hear it all inside his tone and way of speech. Nagito always had an odd thing where his tone and way of speaking would change on how he's feeling. It was ADORABLE because of how easily you could tell what he was feeling, and knowing his tone at that moment, made you feel a lot better about yourself making you give an accidental genuine smile towards him.
"I'll drink some later.. Right now i'm gonna try and rest it off..! Mkayyy?"
You were lying. And it was OBVIOUS. You were a terrible liar and you KNEW it and he definitely knew it with that serious, annoyed look on his face which shouts "Are you being serious?". Why are you so fucking stupid? Holy fuckingg moly, you could've just said "Good idea, i'll have some now!" and then go downstairs to go on YOUR phone to search up the signs and how many months and weeks it takes for your pregnancy to start being more obvious. But either way you knew deep down that you'd have to Komaeda about your pregnancy as soon as possible, since you didn't have much time left for it to start kicking in anyway. Lets just hope and pray he takes it lightly. And if he does maybe you can manipulate him into thinking it's his, if the child truly isn't his kid. And if it isn't his kid then you better hope it looks like you and blame your side of the family's genes if the kid has a different eye colour compared to the both of you. This is really stressful isn't it?
"If you're gonna lie about something, at least make it sound convincing.."
Oh god he just called you out.. How embarrassing is that? He's most definitely onto you now, now that you lied to him.. IN HIS FACE. Oh god you're definitely cooked, not even cooked actually flame grilled. This is really bad for you now.
"Now tell me.. Why did you lie to me..? Is it because you don't trust me? Or is being honest with me too exhausting?.."
Aw god no he's pulling these manipulative things out of his mouth again.. This is really bad i have nothing to say, no excuses to give and i can't lie because i'm a really horrible liar!! What the fuck am i gonna do this time, i'm on the verge of snapping at him right then and there, which i don't want Ayaru to hear while he's nearby..!! God Damn it!! What the hell do i do? DO I LIE TO HIM?? WHAT THE HELL DO I DO?!?
“Ahh… there it is! That’s the kind of despair that makes hope shine brighter, isn’t it?”
Nagito's tone only made it worse for you after hearing what he said.. Was he ragebaiting you..? Ragebaiting his own WIFE??... This gives you the 6th reason why you should start abusing him.. (JOKE) While you're getting riled up by him Ayaru walks in with a worried look on his face, which confuses both you and Nagito.
"Mama.. I found this in the bathroom what is it..?"
Ayaru holds out a positive pregnancy test which completely makes you face darken in pure shock on what he had just found and how this could potentially break the whole family tree..
"Ayaru where the hell did you find that in the bathroom..!? T-that's not something you go in and take..!"
Your voice cracks in a sense of worry now that Nagito saw it in his son's hand.. Nagito's face is full of pure shock, literally stunned like he lost his hand and got shot or something. He looks like he's processing what just happened, as his expression doesn't change one bit.. You wonder if he's thinking that the possible child growing inside you is his or not.. You hope you didn't cheat on him or else it would absolutely destroy you from the inside and out.. If the baby is his, then huzzah! You're not a horrible, unfaithful cheater!
“It’s not something you need to worry about, okay? Adults handle complicated hope.”
Nagito says it in a rather soft voice.. Awe how cute of him.. he's actually rather calm saying that after he just got bombed with that pregnancy test... Maybe you didn't cheat on him..? Who knows at this point, Nagito is rather TOO calm which can get spooky when he's like that, cause you never know his facial reaction till the end, which can reveal many different emotions. While you collect your thoughts on what Nagito is thinking, Ayaru rushes down stairs again not wanting to get involved after seeing both reactions coming from both parents. Poor kid, emotions are very confusing for him especially at his age as a kid..
“Were you going to tell me? Or were you waiting for despair to do it for you?”
Nagito's face doesn't change as he says that.. It really freaks you out how calm he is at the moment. You can't seem to get your words out to him..
“It’s… alright. You don’t have to force words.”
