With a click of a camera lens, two glades, separated by streams of water, were formed. Although both patches of land were created by the same deity, the glades themselves were far from equal in terms of livelihoods.
While the second glade was a rich plain with bountiful vegetation, surrounded by fresh water streams, with a thriving community, the first glade was deemed inhabitable from the start of it’s creation.
It’s inhabitants, the Yggdrasilians, quickly realized their spot of land could nearly be described as a wasteland. There were barely any sources of food, the water streams were polluted, and the inhabitants were quickly turning on each other for valuable resources. The second glade was undoubtedly a messy place to live in, a sentiment it’s inhabitants all shared.
And not even a week later, the Yggdrasilians discovered how their neighbors were faring.
Needlessly to say, they were not happy.
Meanwhile, back in the second glade, a violet snake had caught wind of propaganda being spread about the first glade. Due to some inside information, it had heard that they were planning on taking over Pandora for resources!
This was a terrifying prospect, and as the second in command of Luminara, a small nation of immigrants in Pandora, the snake decided to take matters on it’s own and try to prevent the invasion from happening.
But alas, the other nation leaders did not share the same sentiment that the snake did. A golden llama, the queen of Tricolor, believed that sending aid as a sign of goodwill is better than causing a war. The snake tried to argue that the Yggdrasilians will use that aid to take over Pandora, but the nation leaders had anonymously decided to align with the llama’s beliefs.
Furious about how the meeting turned out, the snake decided to rally up a conspiracy group to prepare for the inevitable war. It planned to start by getting rid of the current nation leaders in favor of replacing them with members of the conspiracy.
However, it’s friend, the ivory bird, couldn’t help but worry about the gruesome path the snake is going down. It tried to convince it’s friend that the Yggdrasilians would not want a war with how little resources they already have. But the snake insisted that going to war is the only way to achieve world peace, even going as far as to sacrifice one to save a thousand.
But the bird wouldn’t give up. It would not dare give up on it’s beloved friend whom it cared for deep in it’s heart. It knew the consequences of associating with the conspiracy, but it did not care.
Because even if bounties were placed on the bird’s head, even if the bird could be kicked out of the glade, even if the whole world turned against the bird, it would save the snake from it’s own demise.
Seeing its friend's determination to knock some sense into it, the snake decided to humor the bird in it’s conquest. With this new opportunity, the bird called for a meeting with the nation leaders of Yggdrasil and invited the snake to show that they didn’t mean any harm.
As it turns out, the rumors about the Yggdrasilians wanting to invade Pandora was entirely false! The idea was simply formed in the heat of the moment from a maroon german shepherd, the dictator of the Covenant, who is now content with killing a red croagunk instead.
The snake was stunned, all that it previously thought about the Yggdrasilians seemed to be false and it didn’t know what to think. It tried to make sense with this new information, but all it could think about was how it had wronged the bird.
The snakes realized that it’s friend was right all along, the Yggdrasilians were never planning on actually invading them. It had jumped the gun without any solid evidence and nearly caused a war over nothing.
The snake felt guilty for rudely shutting down the bird just for trying to care about it, it felt like it shouldn’t deserve the bird’s forgiveness.
But no matter how bad the snake treats it, the bird will always forgive and forget. The bird will always choose it, stay by it’s side, and love it.
In the end, the snake profusely apologized to the bird for ever doubting it, proposing they could live in a vacation home or maybe open up a restaurant just like they initially wanted. The bird smiled and off they went to start the next chapter of their lives.
And with that, the story of the Bird and the Snake has come to an end.
