That day, a few hours before the festival on Hyakki Island, the captain once again asked Haruaki to lead the ceremony being held. Wearing a sokutai and kariginu made him resemble Abe no Seimei even more. Armed with his knowledge of ritual ceremonies taught by his father and Amaaki, Haruaki led the ritual smoothly that night.
All of his students and friends watched him intently as he carried himself with such seriousness. Everything proceeded peacefully and without issue, and Haruaki also summoned his shikigami deities. The festival went on successfully that night.
Still dressed in his kariginu, Haruaki walked toward a room after chatting with his students and colleagues. When they realized he had disappeared, they began searching for him everywhere. Then, the voices of Kuniko and Nyuudou who had been looking for him together, were heard shouting from one of the rooms.
“ABE-SENSEI!! SOMEBODY PLEASE CALL DOCTOR TAKAHASHI!”
