“I’m so sorry i have to leave you but i can’t handle this life anymore. You know i have no future if i continue with you. I’m still young and i have a future ahead of me. Just not with you.”
That sentence was now burned into the back of Kimi’s 16 year old mind like an aching memory begging to be let free. That was four years ago. Four long years of figuring out everything by himself. Unfortunately, there was no time for distractions. He had to find shelter and dinner for tonight or else, he might become the dinner. His body was frail from five days of going without food. He survived solely on pure determination. The forest was always quiet at night. Maybe a little too quiet. He went to the lake he always went to for water in hopes he finds an animal drinking water or maybe a fish in the lake. Being an omega unamated it this torn world was so dangerous. You may never know what’s lurking behind. He presented when he was 7. It was in fact earlier then others. His mother told him he was special like her. Oh how he missed her so much. There wasn’t a day that goes by that he doesn’t think of her.
After arriving at the lake, he realised something was off. This wasn’t his usual lake. There was something unusual it was darker then normal and there was something off in the water. He cautiously walked towards that thing looking left and right to watch out for any danger. The thing was pink, squishy and surprisingly floating. He took off his shirt he made out of spare fabric his mother left behind thinking he wouldn’t survive out there alone. Kimi jumped into the lake - reaching for that pink thingy. To his surprise, that thing was able to support his weight. He tried to stand up on it but ended up falling face flat. That caused a loud splash which alerted something in the distance. He panicked and ran towards something that looked like a shelter. Atleast one problem was solved tonight, he could just stay here.
Suddenly, lights. Flashing lights to be exact. Kimi panicked and hit behind what looks to be a broken but still intact cupboard. He was terrified the rouge wolves had found him and would end him like they did to his mother. He felt himself slip in and out of consciousness.
“no no no i’m too young to die” he thought to himself.
He eventually passed out due to lack of food. When suddenly, a voice. Not one familiar like his mother’s - no. It was a male’s voice. Low and soothing. That same male’s voice shouted something he couldn’t quite make out. Suddenly a rush of voices surrounded him. That’s when eventually the world around him stopped.
“atleast il meet my mother now” thought kimi.
He woke up in a foreign room. He was lying down on something that looked like a bed. Kimi was hooked onto something he had seen only in hospital’s. It was an Iv drip if he was correct. He hasn’t seen that since the world went haywire when he was four. He and his mother fled to the forest large enough to have a chance at survival if hidden well. The first few years were brutal. Only eating fish was surely not that healthy for a growing body like Kimi’s but it was either that or end up dead. But he knew if he wanted any chance at rebuilding this already torn world, he had to stay alive. Everyday, peice by peice, he would rebuild wodden shacks hoping someone would stumble upon it and use it as safety. Over the years, the once thriving cities were now reclaimed by nature. Everything seemed peaceful until the rouge wolves slowly emerged from the ruins. They showed no mercy to others. They were so convinced this entire “world disaster” was a dream. Kimi really wished it was.
Suddenly, a man wearing casual clothes walked into the room. Judging by the way he stands and handles the equipment, he must be a doctor.
“sorry to disturb you, i know you might seem confused on where your at right now but i promise you, your safe here. I will give you more time to rest and I will come back in a few hours to answer the questions i know you’ve been wanting to ask.”
He then injected something into the Iv drip which once again made him pass out.
He woke up again with a pounding headache. That same man from earlier was seating in a couch to his right. The room was bright. Brighter then he’s seen in a while.
“Hi, my name is doctor Lewis Hamilton. Sorry about the headache. I had to inject you with vitamins and fluids of all kind. You are severely malnourished. I think you wouldn’t have lasted more than and hour out there if we hadn’t found you. You were found in our spare shed we used to keep tools and old furniture. Oscar broke the door when he had one of his outbursts and we didn’t think someone would stumble onto our land. It’s good you did though. I’ll let you rest while i will bring you some food. Take your time to heal, I will have to introduce you to the pack though. Sorry I got so carried away. What’s your name by the way?”
“It’s alright. Everything makes so much more sense now. My name is Kimi, Kimi Antonelli for your information.”
“Antonelli. That sounds oddly familiar…” Lewis mumbled under his breath.
“Sorry you were calling me?”
“No no it’s nothing sorry. Could you give me a few minutes? I want to bring up the food to you.”
“Okay”
