Hello everyone, and thank you for clicking on my fic :D
As stated, this is the information page, and I would suggest reading this to get a good understanding of what my fic will be like, but feel free to skip ahead. If you choose to read, do pay in mind that there are a couple major spoilers for MHA, so I would not recommend reading until you’ve finished the entire series.
Essentially, Shigaraki Tomura, also known as Shimura Tenko, was not born with the Quirk Decay. It is revealed that his original Quirk was Accelerator Rings, the yellow rings he used to propel himself forward (what I previously labeled as Air Repulsion). This is the Quirk he will possess in this fic.
However, before this information was released in Ultra Age, I initially had the theory of Air Walk, as many Reddit people thought (if a refresher is needed, Air Walk is the Quirk given to Lady Nagant (Tsutsumi Kaina) in book 32 as compensation for tracking down and capturing Deku). Of course, that theory was shot down once Horikoshi said that Accelerator Rings was Shigaraki’s original Quirk.
Shimura Nana, Shigaraki’s grandmother, the seventh OFA user, and All Might’s mentor had the Quirk Float, which is eerily similar to Air Walk, leading to what I dub the “Air Walk Theory”.
As I stated, the theory was effectively shot down, but I quite like Air Walk as a Quirk and it would be one I would want if I were in MHA, which is why I have it centered in the focal point of my fic.
The remainder is some useful tidbits of the actual fic.
I realized I actually got so much shit wrong here, so with the help of a calculator, my memory, and canon timelines, I rewrote the entire info page! None of this actually has spoilers for the fic, but of course, you can skip this if you’d like to be COMPLETELY surprised! However, I will warn that this does indeed include a few minor spoilers from the manga and the Ultra Age guide, so proceed with caution.

THE SHIMURAS
Essentially, in my AU, Izuku is a Shimura, with Inko (whose surname is still Midoriya) as his mother, Tenko as his brother, and Nana as his grandmother from his father’s side. I kind of headcanon because Midoriya Hisashi (in canon) left Izuku and Inko early on, I thought that maybe Inko would have given Izuku her surname instead! Which is why ‘Midoriya’ is her surname and ‘Shimura’ is Hisashi’s (and while I know that Tenko’s canon father is Shimura Kotaro, this is an AU, so it’d be easier to think of it as a Dad for One AU).
About Quirks, I’ve heard from MANY sources that the newest guide, Ultra Age, reveals that Shigaraki’s original Quirk before Decay was Air Repulsion, and because Shigaraki is one of my favourites and he honestly deserves better, that’s his Quirk in this fanfic!
As well with my explanation of the Air Walk Theory (or AWT) above (which has not yet been modified like this part), since this is a ShigaDeku brother AU, and I want to give Izuku a Quirk, he gets Air Walk, which was theorized to be Shigaraki’s original Quirk before Horikoshi shut down that idea in Ultra Age.
Izuku and Tenko have a sevenish year age gap, considering I want him (Tenko) to be a full fledged Pro Hero by the time Izuku enters U.A for plot reasons and because I’m pretty sure that’s their age gap in canon too, so that means that Tenko is 22 at the start of my fic.
Izuku does not have One for All, at least not yet.
As well, Nana is alive because All Might, being the stubborn little idiot he is, saved her. Also because I love Nana so there.
Tenko's Hero name is the Aerodynamics Hero, Tomura.
THE TODOROKIS/HIMURAS
So, this is where things get a tad more complicated (not counting the part about Toga). First of all, they are called the Himuras because that is legally Rei’s surname. With the help of Tenko and his family, more so specifically Nana and Inko, they helped Rei divorce Enji (because despite what she did, I still love Rei) and take official custody of the kids (Fuyumi is basically the only one who visits Enji) along with a third of the money because, well, why not? (Okay, so this may be a plot hole, SHUT IT.) I said things were getting a bit trickier from here, and that’s correct because a) I want Touya to be the same, if not marginally older, than Tenko, which means changing the age of essentially all the Todoroki children, and b) this is where it affects the Hero Billboard Chart JP.
Touya in this universe is 23 years old, a few months older than Tenko (since he was born on January 18, and Tenko was born on April 4). Because Tenko is seven years older than Izuku, and Izuku and Shouto are in the same class, that means Touya as well is also older than Shouto by seven years (maybe it’s not as complicated, since I’m rewriting it and in canon they have an eight year age gap). That means that the day Sekoto Peak happens in canon, in my fic Shouto would have been six instead of five. However, Shouto still does get his scar at five, and that is the same year Rei gets sent to a mental hospital and Touya gets sent to the HPSC (which will be explained down below).
For the record, Sekoto Peak DOES NOT HAPPEN in my fanfic. This is similar to the childhood friends DabiHawks AUs, because while Endeavour is still a trashy dad in my AU (please don’t take offense, any Endeavour stans, since I really don’t like him (and despite the fact he is atoning for what he did, that doesn’t erase that he mentally traumatized his children and wife without a single doubt (but I also do love Bakugou a lot so I guess that sounds a bit hypocritical)), he does help Touya try to control his Quirk, and sends him to the HPSC for some specialized training. That was where he first met Hawks. When Endeavour saw no progress being made, he eventually pulled Touya out of the HPSC training course which meant that that was the last time in childhood he saw his new best friend, Hawks.
He does eventually meet him again, but prior to that. Endeavour does get him Quirk suppressant bracelets that regulate his temperature, so on and so forth.
Here’s how it affects the Hero Billboard JP: In the future, because let’s be for real, Touya and Tenko would be awesome Heroes if given the chance, they are placed in the number Five and Seven spots respectively, which means that everyone after Seven is gonna have to move down by one or something. I haven’t planned it out yet, but basically All Might is still number One, Endeavour at number Two, Best Jeanist at Three, potentially a Hero at Four who is starting to retire so he/she/they get replaced by Hawks, and so on.
For context, his Hero name is the Blueflame Hero, Incendiary, and like his name, carries flammable weapons just in case of emergencies.
TOGA HIMIKO
And now, we have our girl Miko!
So in case it wasn’t obvious, I’m actually suffering writing her part because I need to make so many adjustments to my AU and her character. Her personality and Quirk are the same, of course, but she is slightly less ‘manic’ (in the sense of killing) because she actually is loved by all her friends and appreciated for who she is (yay!).
The difficult part is her age. I want her to know who Touya and Tenko are and be good friends with them, but I also don’t know how to incorporate it so she is around the right age but still old enough to know them.
I’m thinking of making her a U.A third year, or something like that, who got held back a year because of her parents’ requests on ‘changing their demonic child’ or shit like that, y’know? So that would make her an 18 year old at the start of the fic, which, disappointingly for me, is still not enough. An idea I do have in mind, however, is while she is interning at an agency (most likely Ryukyu’s because transformation Quirks) she bumps into them (and they’re sidekicks at this point) and she basically latched herself onto them like a leech lmao.
I do like this idea, so she is essentially 16 at the start of the fic (her birthday is August 7) and she is turning a third year.
Her Hero name will be the Vampire Hero, Chiara (since 'chi' means 'blood' in Japanese).
I also found out, purely as a coincidence, that Chiara is also the name of a character in one of my favourite fanfics, "more than you hoped to be" by daylightbreaks!
FRIENDSHIPS
I know some people might be thinking, “Where the fuck is Bakugou during all of this?” and here’s my answer: They were NOT childhood friends.
I like this because I feel that due to Nana’s Hero status they would live in a more rich neighborhood and Inko might’ve never bothered to introduce Katsuki and Izuku together. However, she did know Katsuki existed.
Because of that, Katsuki has a better personality! He doesn’t think of Izuku as a ‘useless, Quirkless piece of trash’ because a) Izuku has a Quirk and b) he doesn’t think Izuku is ‘looking down’ on him or something. So yes, he did mellow out a bit, but still, because of his ego and general persona, he’s still as snappy as ever, but this time basically all bark and no bite.
Izuku’s best friends with Shouto, since they’ve known each other for a long time through Tenko and Touya.
Izuku met both Uraraka and Katsuki at the Entrance Exams. He didn’t really get along with Iida when they first properly met, because Touya and Tenko taught him how to hold grudges LMAO and defend himself.
