Work Text:
The invite was sent to Trinity’s apartment because Dennis neglected to mention that he moved to his parents. More specifically, that he moved in with his boyfriend who happened to almost be as old as his father. It wasn’t the first time that mail hadn’t been rerouted to Robby’s— well he supposed it’s their— house. Most of the time it had been junk mail, letters from Hello Fresh or some other subscription service offering their introductory deals. So most of the time he told Trinity to throw it out unless it looked official.
“I think this is for you,” Trinity hands him a blue envelope when he and Robby walk into central. Upon seeing the name on it, he feels like a bucket of cold water was dumped on him. The name he had tried so hard to forget, that he was reminded of in the middle of the night in cold sweats or saw on a patient file that made his mind go blank. It stares back up at him, mocking.
“Who is—who the fuck sent that?” Robby puts two and two together and sounds angry, maybe even disgusted. He had never told anyone his dead name, no one asked and even if they had, why would he?
“My mom,” Dennis turns the envelope and opens it, careful to not tear the paper. Inside is an invite to the baptism of his older brother’s baby. He had been invited to the wedding but at the time hadn’t even had money for groceries or rent, let alone a plane ticket to Nebraska. The guilt had eaten him alive but then again, he knew what was waiting for him there if he had shown up. Specifically because he didn’t have a tux. Caroline is her name and of course she’s getting baptized at the only catholic church in Broken Bow. The only church Dennis had truly known.
Looking up, both Trinity and Robby were staring at him and he wondered what kind of facial expression he was making. They were looking at him with pity and concern and it makes his stomach turn a bit. Plastering a fake smile he shoves the invite into his backpack, hoping to forget about it the way his family would hopefully forget inviting him.
“My niece is getting baptized,” He offers, before heading to the lockers, his head starting to hurt as he tries not to cry. Blinking quickly, he swallows hard, mouth dry. There’s a stabbing feeling when he breathes in.
“Hey,” Robby is beside him, an arm around his shoulders. It makes the pain hurt a little less. “You need to take a few?”
“I… yeah, maybe just five minutes?” His shoulders relax as Robby’s hand rubs between his shoulder blades. God he was so lucky his boyfriend and attending is so understanding. He didn’t even have to explain what made him upset, Robby just knew he was upset. Although it didn’t take much for the other man to guess, given what he’d heard of Dennis’ family.
Even though he did try to keep the stories light and happy, talking about how he missed his mom’s french toast or running around the farm, sometimes he let it slip. Those nights of shouting, tears, his shared bedroom door slamming. The times his parents removed the door from its hinges. When he took his brother’s shaving kit and buzzed his hair. The awkwardness when he finally started T and his parents simply ignored it. The hurt of his teenage years buried beneath his skin, the faded scars that Robby sometimes pressed his lips to.
Taking a few breaths he heads to the break room and sits down, closing his eyes. Counting back from 100, he gets to 25 before his stomach finally unclenches and he doesn’t feel like crying. He takes a couple more minutes to just breathe, the invitation weighing heavy in his locker and mind. He’ll make up an excuse, he’ll have to. Because if he goes back, he knows what waits for him. No matter how much he romanticizes it, how much he misses it, he knows the moment he hears that name he’ll be back to his timid high school self, the one who never spoke up for himself.
“You wanna talk about that letter?” Robby asks later while they’re cuddling on the couch. He groans and puts his book down. When they had the time and weren’t doing something, they would cuddle up on the couch and read for hours. Sometimes Dennis would fall asleep against Robby, only waking up when his partner wakes him to move him to bed because he knows he’ll wake up with a sore back.
“It’s nothing, I’ll just ignore it maybe send a text about not being able to take time off,”
“You don’t want to go?”
“It’s not that, it’s just complicated,” Robby waits for him to continue so he sighs and does. “My parents don’t hate trans people they just don’t get it, they love me but I’m still their daughter in their eyes,” His eyes start to feel a little wet so he blinks. Luckily, with Robby behind him, he couldn’t see this. “I miss my family,” It’s quieter and he feels his throat tightening.
It’s the truth, he does miss his family. He misses the human noise that came with living in a big family, misses the farm, he sometimes even misses St. Joseph’s. Sometimes he even missed the smell of the air, the flat landscape that stretched for miles in front of him. Some days he misses the quiet of the farm at night, the cicadas in the summer, even the corn sweat. It all felt like home.
But now he had a new home in Pittsburgh. The sounds of traffic had long since become background noise, the directness of so many people. He could get lost in a crowd, walk for an hour and not run into a single person he knew. The dizzying pace of the ED has become something he craved when things got slow. Of course there’s the people he’s made a home with, his friends from med school and from work, Trin, Victoria, he’ll even say he and Melissa are friends. And more than anything, Robby.
Since moving in, Robby had made sure his house felt like it belonged to Dennis, which felt like too much at first. But he had grown to appreciate it, he had bought some records at a thrift store for Robby’s record player (that he barely used before Dennis) that they’ll play. Robby had asked him to pick out a new piece of art for the living room, not complaining or pushing back at all when he chose a rural scene. All of his clothes fit into Robby’s dresser and closet (he didn’t have much to begin with) and Robby even took him shopping once as one of the rare times that Dennis allowed him to splurge on the man. He still felt a little awkward sometimes at Robby spending money on him and would pay for pizza or buy a fancy ice cream to try to make up for it. Because Robby didn’t expect him to pay rent, and wouldn’t accept it, he did everything he could to fix things around the house and deep clean (which obviously hadn’t been done in years). The place had slowly started to feel like it wasn’t just Robby’s, nor his, but theirs.
“Do you want to go?”
“Yeah,” He admits, playing with the front cover of his book. There’s silence behind him. A hand covers his and squeezes. No matter what he does, he knows Robby will support him. He might give him some push back about not going but he’d ultimately respect Dennis not going.
“Would you… want me to come with you?”
“Wait seriously?” He squirms a little to turn to face Robby. The man looks a little shy. “That would mean the world to me, Michael,” Now he looked shy for a different reason. For some reason whenever Dennis says his first name he gets a little shy. Whenever Dennis presses him about it, he just says he doesn’t hear it often, but Dennis wonders if it’s more than that. When Robby says his name it makes something come alive within him.
“I know what you just said about your parents and everything and I don’t condone that, but call me old fashioned, meeting the parents and all that,” He pretends to be looking at his own book, and Dennis is so fucking in love with him. Now he squeezes the hand that was still holding his.
“I would really love that,” Dennis pecks his cheek and Robby looks enamored.
The stained glass burns Dennis’ skin. The stale scent of incense suffocates him. The pew beneath his ass is hard and uncomfortable, reminding him of all the Sundays he spent here. The murmur of people filing in makes his heart jump. Each voice a memory, each laugh a knife. Jesus stares at him in anguish, how could you abandon me my child? Mary stares at him with pity, what a miserable creature you have become. His chest burns. It overwhelms him. It makes him want to throw up.
“Hey,” Robby rubs his shoulder and he wants to grab him and run out of that damned church. Wants to protect him from his family and whatever they might say to Robby. Wants to protect himself from whatever hell he’s going to be put through these next few hours.
“We shouldn’t have come,” He feels guilty, Robby had paid for the tickets and the nicest hotel room that Broken Bow had to offer, which wasn’t very expensive but still. He would feel bad leaving after all the stress of getting here. “I’m sorry, I know you want to meet them but—“
“Mary?” He feels sick. Fuck he feels so goddamn sick and he’s pretty sure he’s going to throw up if he turns and faces his mother. Maybe if he pretends she’s not not there, pretends he’s not there, it’ll all go away. But against his body’s screams, he turns his head.
Catherine had aged since he last saw her. Her blonde hair had become a soft grey, the crows feet around her eyes more pronounced. She looked smaller, maybe skinnier or maybe it’s her posture. In her hands was the rosary she’s had since before any of her children were born, the worn beads slotted between her fingers as easy as second nature. Like she had been born with it wrapped between her hands.
“Hi mom,” Dennis responds, because even if she doesn’t recognize her son, she is still his mother.
“Oh honey, I’m so glad you came,” She slides next to him and wraps an arm around him, pulling him into a hug. “You look…” She stares at him and it’s silent for too long. You look like a man? You look like you’re going to be sick? You look nothing like the child I raised? “And who is this?” She looks a mix of excited and apprehensive. She already knows, she has to. Why else would Dennis arrive with a man almost twice his age to a baptism?
“I’m Dr. Robinavitch, Dennis’ partner,” He reaches out a hand and Catherine takes it, eyeing him up. Despite him using Dennis’ name, she doesn’t seem fazed by it. Because she will continue to use his deadname, just like his father will. And even if they looked odd from outsiders, the entire town knew about the transgender Whitaker who left for Pittsburgh and abandoned the family.
“Nice to meet you, you know Mary never calls so we never know what is going on in her life, I’m glad she met a nice doctor to settle down with,” Dennis’ cheeks burn. This was so embarrassing, to be deadnamed and misgendered in front of his goddamn boyfriend. Sparing a look at Robby, he sees his jaw is tense. Fuck, please don’t do anything in the church, he prays to a god he hasn’t spoken to in almost a decade.
“I’ve never been to a baptism before,” Robby changes the subject and before Catherine can respond, Dennis hears the pew creaking as more bodies file in. Stealing a glance, he sees his father, brothers, and sisters in laws staring right back at him. Gulping he waves shyly.
“Good to see you, Mary,” Joseph’s voice is just as rough as it always is, due to years of smoking. His father has also aged, wrinkles more pronounced, especially his hands.
“Hey Denny,” Calls Sarah, John’s wife, and his stomach unclenches a little. He hadn’t seen her since he left for college, back when John and her were dating. She looked good, like she had a glow about her. He waves back to her and is about to say hi but then the organ starts.
Dennis goes through the motions of the mass. It was like a second nature he had completely forgotten about. One he had tried to detach himself from after pivoting to medicine. The words that spill from his mouth don’t sound like him, they don’t feel like him. He isn’t focused for most of it, the words that come from Father Cassidy ring hollow in his ears. Even when Sarah and John go to the baptismal font, he isn’t really paying attention. It was hard enough to be here, physically, it was harder to try to convince himself to be present.
When mass is over, it’s clear Catherine must have been thinking about Robby’s silence during mass.
“Are you protestant?” She asks, which almost makes Dennis choke. Of course she would be bringing this up. And of course she would hope for protestant instead of anyone outside of christianity.
“No, Jewish,” He specifies and Catherine’s eyes slide to Dennis. Robby doesn’t explain his own faith crisis which they had talked about on multiple occasions. Which he shouldn’t have to, if his mother had any say in it, she would be telling Dennis to convert him. Which she probably will at some point, despite Dennis having made his position on the religion clear years ago. Just like him being trans, it never seemed to be something she cared to respect.
It surprised Dennis sometimes, that they had managed to find each other and support each other through the confusion that was navigating a religion you grew up with no longer being one that resonated with them. Maybe because he was so used to people growing up and staying even when they didn’t truly believe or felt separate from the church. He knew John had been like that, he guesses he was doing this because it’s what was expected of him. Maybe he was a better son than Dennis for that. Dennis can’t imagine bringing a child into the church, not even for his parents' approval, which he used to cling to desperately.
“Well, you’re always welcome in our church,” Joseph reaches a hand out which Robby takes with a tight smile. Dennis can tell the grip is firm as always, but maybe more so than usual. The two were only eight years apart but Dennis wasn’t going to tell them that. He knows everyone is thinking it, wondering what the age difference is here. Eventually they’ll find out, he supposes. But for now he felt some solace in knowing that their judgement wasn’t yet what it inevitably would be once they found out the true gap.
They head back to the Whitaker farm for the celebration, where Dennis is no doubt going to be peppered with more questions about he and Robby. When they get there, Dennis takes a few steadying breaths, closing his eyes and counting backwards in his mind. Robby rubs his shoulder, squeezing it comfortingly. Dennis opens his eyes to look at him appreciatively. Leaning over the center console, he places a soft kiss on Robby’s mouth.
“Thank you for being here,” His voice is soft, like he’s scared Robby might run away. But he wouldn’t.
“Of course, I love you,” He holds his hand, bringing it to his lips and pressing them to the back of it. Dennis’ heart feels full and warm. He could do this, if Robby’s beside him he could do this.
“I love you too,” It gives Dennis the strength to get out of the car and walk to where his family is gathering under a white tent. There are tables set up with chairs and a few with food, potluck style. As more people arrive, the table fills up. They approach where the family is standing together, welcoming people as they arrive. It’s really just his mom, John, Sarah, and Francis, his dad and Benedict helping to greet people and talking with the neighbors.
“So how did you two meet?” John asks, staring at Robby with some apprehension. John is cool, he hardly ever misgenders or deadnames Dennis, so he knows his concern is genuine. Both John and Francis were always supportive, Benedict was a little more aligned with his parents. Which made no sense to Dennis but he wasn’t going to push it now. Benedict probably wouldn’t even talk to him or Robby. Fine by Dennis.
“We work together,” Robby answers, looking to Dennis and it almost knocks his breath out. The devotion that he’s staring at him with is one he never quite gets used to. Having that sort of look directed at him always made his heart stutter and his stomach flip.
“How old are you?” Is John’s follow up and Robby just nods, still staring at Dennis. More people are arriving and he can hear Sarah thanking them for arriving and John belatedly saying a few thank yous too.
“Fifty five,” There’s a sharp intake of breath from someone but Dennis doesn’t really care who. Not when Robby is staring at him like he’s the entire world. Not when Robby is his. “Dennis has been an incredible addition to the emergency medicine department. Our patients love him, but our staff loves him more,” He turns his gaze back to John who nods.
“That’s great to hear, would you two ever move back here?” Catherine chimes in and Dennis has to keep himself from groaning. Of course she wants him to move back here. And of course she doesn’t really care that Dennis is with a man as old as Robby, she probably is more concerned if they can make babies she could have baptized.
“Uh well,” Robby chuckles awkwardly. “I personally love the city, I think it’d be really hard to leave,” He doesn’t add that he probably would lose his mind if he were in a town this small. Nor does he add that he would definitely not get along with half the town. Only Dennis gets to know his true feelings.
“And I don’t really want to leave PTMC,” Dennis adds, instead of saying he’d rather shoot himself than move back here. It’s not that he doesn’t miss it sometimes, he does. But he also remembers enough of the pain to know that if he subjected himself to it again, he would lose his mind. And he remembers the pressure to attend mass every Sunday, the looks he got around town. More than that, he couldn’t handle hearing his deadname all of the time, feeling that pang in his chest and the heaviness that came with it.
“Mary, you used to always talk about wanting to take over the farm and have a family, before you wanted to become a nun,” Theologian, he thinks in his mind but doesn’t say that. And he did have those dreams as a kid, it’s what he was raised to believe. “Now John suddenly wants to take over the helm,” She chuckles as if it’s unbelievable, despite him being the eldest.
“Again, we’re extremely lucky that Dennis found his way to us,” Dennis feels an unspoken ‘and to me’ in there, catching Robby’s glance again. “He is truly a phenomenal doctor,”
“You know Leo is here,” John says, eyes moving to his right. Dennis’ stomach drops again. “You could at least say hi, show him what he’s missing,” He winks and Dennis wants to remind him that he has a boyfriend. A boyfriend who is incredibly possessive and jealous. Which maybe should be red flags but Dennis only wants Robby’s attention on him so it works in his favor.
“Oh he is such a sweetheart, Dr. Robinavitch you need to meet him, he was Mary’s high school sweetheart,” Catherine coos, looking around for him. She spots him and points him out.
Dennis won’t lie, he’s grown into himself. He had been a tall, awkward, and quiet guy. But now he’s joking loudly with Emma, another high school friend, and Dennis gets a pain in his chest. It had been years since he had talked to either of them. Neither of them were really weird about him coming out, but once he left for college he reached out and after a while they stopped responding. It probably didn’t have anything to do with him being trans, but it had hurt to slowly lose the two people he had considered best friends as time wore on.
“Is that so?” Robby raises an eyebrow. “Well I’d love to meet him,” Dennis knows he’s lying but the rest of his family can’t tell a difference in his tone or facial expression. But Dennis saw the jaw clenching and heard the edge in his voice.
“I wouldn’t say high school sweetheart we dated for like six months,” Dennis is quick to add and that still doesn’t seem to please Robby. Part of him wants to remind the man that despite his previous relationships, Robby was the first one to fuck him and go down on him. Things that he didn’t really think were a big deal but Robby wore like a badge of honor. Obviously he can’t say that in front of his family.
“How long have you and Denny been together?” John asks and damn he forgot how nosey his brothers are, especially since it’s been so long since he’s been back to Broken Bow. Robby perks up at that, proud that they’ve been together longer.
“We’re coming up on a year,” Which was sort of true, they were at nine months now so Robby was definitely rounding up. “One of the best years of my life,” Dennis is surprised by how dreamy Robby sounds and feels his face warm up.
“Damn you’ve got him around your finger Denny, good work,” Francis, elbows him and his face burns even more.
“I’d say it’s the other way around,”
“No, I think he’s right,” Robby counters and Dennis knows he’s red as a tomato. He rubs Dennis’ back a little. “Should we go say hi to… Leo?” He acts as if he had forgotten the name but Dennis knows he’s been ruminating on it. Probably calling it a stupid name or something. Dennis nods and dreads what Leo and Emma are going to say. Probably nothing embarrassing, but it’ll be awkward.
They walk over to the duo, Emma’s eyes widening and tapping Leo’s shoulder. He feels a strong arm wrap around his shoulder to pull him closer. If he wasn’t so nervous, it would’ve made him smile.
“Play nice,” He whispers to Robby as they get closer.
“When don’t I?” What a funny lie.
“Hey guys,” Fuck that sounded so awkward and he cringes but Emma and Leo are both smiling. It floors him, to be met with their apparent happiness. For some reason he expected them to be cold even though, even if just for appearances, they had never been known to be.
“Dennis!” Emma opens her arms for a hug. Breaking free from Robby’s grip, he suddenly feels like that awkward kid again. But when he was that awkward kid he had this— friendship from two people who supported him unconditionally in a town that openly condemned him. That was something he could never erase the importance of, even with this space between them, nothing could take away from their roles in his life.
“It’s so good to see you,” He hugs her back, feeling his eyes get wet. How many nights had he mourned their friendship and what they used to be? How many times did he find himself remembering Leo’s favorite song in junior year or Emma’s favorite book from sophomore year literature? There were days he talked to Robby about them, their closeness as kids and teens and Dennis’ eventual distance. How it felt like an ocean between himself and the land he used to know. And there were days where he only kept them in his thoughts. Either way, he wonders if they ever feel the same about him.
“Hey man,” Leo pulls him into a hug too, though it’s definitely more of a ‘bro’ hug, clapping Dennis’ back and sort of knocking the air out of him. Even though Dennis used to be the stronger one between the two because of his work on the farm, Leo very clearly worked out or did some type of manual labor because he had buffed up since high school.
“It’s really good to see you two,” He says as he pulls away and returns to Robby, feeling his arm wrap around his waist. Emma and Leo both catch that, Emma’s eyebrow quirking up. “This is my partner,”
“Dr. Robinavitch, you can call me Robby,” His voice sounds normal but Dennis can tell he’s a little tense when he offers his hand to Leo, the tension gone when he offers the same hand to Emma. “I’ve heard a lot about you two,”
“Nothing bad I hope?” Emma teases and smiles at them.
“All good things, of course,” Robby chuckles and Dennis feels out of place all of a sudden. Like a stranger in his own home. Or what used to be home. He feels that distance again, that ocean between Broken Bow and Pittsburgh, the continent between himself and Emma and Leo. Robby squeezes his waist. “What do you both do for work?”
“I’m a mechanic at my dad’s auto shop,” While it wasn’t the only auto shop in town, it was the oldest one. And customers were loyal, there weren’t too many options to choose from around here.
“I’m the librarian at the library,”
“Did Mrs. Shultz retire?” Mrs. Shultz had been the librarian for… forever he thinks. From elementary through high school, he remembers her sitting at the front desk, helpful but also strict. No running, no talking, no food or drinks. Dennis had even gotten scolded for trying to read books that were ‘too mature’ for his age group, specifically trying to read the Hunger Games when they first came out. He had been eleven at the time but the front cover had called to him, the shiny gold of the bird on the front. He never did end up reading the series.
“Oh no, she passed last year,” Emma’s face tries to remain neutral but he could see a flash of sadness in those green eyes.
“Oh,” Dennis doesn’t know what else to say. Had she and Emma grown close while she had been the assistant librarian? “I’m sorry that must’ve been tough,”
“She was a million years old, but yeah it was hard taking over from her, I’ve been trying to get more involvement from the high school, kids these days are not reading like we used to,”
“How’s being a doctor?” Leo’s question shouldn’t surprise him but it kind of does. For some reason he expected them to have forgotten about him, to not remember what he does. Maybe that meant something on his own part of how he categorized his old friends.
“Yeah it’s great, I love emergency medicine and Pittsburgh definitely has no shortage of interesting cases,”
“What’s the weirdest thing someone’s stuck up their butt?” Of course Leo would ask something like that. He snickers at Dennis’ face. Robby chuckles at the question, he’s probably seen weirder things than he has.
“I don’t know about the weirdest, but there’s definitely a lot of people using bottles in creative ways. Don’t use anything without a flared base,” He points to both of them and gets a laugh. It felt nice, almost like they were close again. That closeness is ripped away by the sound of his mother.
“Mary, we need to take family photos,” She rests her hand on his shoulder and he doesn’t cringe but he sees Emma and Leo both exchange a look. Pity. Something that made him feel like a bit of a lost dog, looking for where he belongs and never quite finding it. Did they ever correct her when she talked about him, or was it the unspoken rule to just let her cling to her ‘daughter’? “Hi you two, stay out of trouble,”
“Always, Mrs. Whitaker,” Is Leo’s response. He holds out a hand to Robby, who shakes it and nods at him. He extends his hand to Emma once again and she shakes it a little awkwardly.
“We’ll have to catch up later,” Dennis says instead of what he really wants to say, knowing they probably won’t be catching up later. As they walk away, Dennis wishes he had told them how much he missed them. But he was too scared of hearing it back.
“Ugh that was a lot,” Dennis bemoans when they finally get back to the hotel. The party had lasted like six hours and then he and Robby had helped clean up. His parents had insisted they come for Thanksgiving (they can’t) and then for Christmas (they’ll think about it). He had gotten into multiple arguments with extended family members who pulled him aside to scold him for leaving and for embarrassing the family by showing up ‘looking like that’. Of course his parents would probably tell them to leave him alone, even if they agreed. Maybe especially because they agreed they didn’t want it broadcast to others.
Robby just sighs and shakes his head. He wraps his arms around Dennis, holding him against his chest.
“I’m sorry that they don’t call you by your name,” The softness and sincerity makes Dennis tear up a little. “And don’t say it’s nothing, because it’s not,” He just nods and wraps his arms around Robby. Breathing him in, he already feels better. Even though they’d been together all day, it had felt like a dance. Like they weren’t really allowed to be themselves. He buries his face in Robby’s neck and keeps breathing him in.
“Thank you, I know it was probably weird, especially with Leo. But he’s straight so you really don’t need to worry about him,”
“I’m not worried about him,” Robby grumbles.
“Good, because he was an awful kisser,”
“And I’m not?”
“Come on you know what your kisses do to me,” Dennis feels flush now, just thinking of their lips on each other. Before Robby he’d never really cared that much about kissing. Now he stole kisses all the time, sometimes he even dragged Robby around a corner at work just to get a taste on a stressful day. It made everything better, it made him light and fuzzy and melty.
“What do they do to you?” Robby teases, pulling apart and holding Dennis’ face. He tsks at Dennis’ embarrassed silence before he finally opens his mouth.
“They make the world melt away,” He grumbles and is expecting a laugh but is met with silence. The hold on his face tightens a little and he stares anywhere but Robby.
“Look at me,” It’s soft, almost a whisper, and Dennis does. Robby’s eyes are molten, staring into his soul and it makes his heart stutter. They flick down to his lips before flicking back up. “I love you so much,” His face burns with the sincerity of it, this overwhelming wave of emotion.
“I love you too,” He’s still embarrassed and now Robby does lean in to kiss him chastely. It does make the world melt away, the tension in his shoulders slowly draining out of him. He didn’t even realize how tense he was until his whole body relaxed into the kiss. Robby notices too, rubbing his shoulders. When they pull apart, Robby is looking at him with hooded eyes.
Dennis pulls him back into another kiss, but this time he slides his tongue into Robby’s mouth, who moans around it. Whenever their tongues rub together, Dennis can feel himself getting wet. It wasn’t something he could control, it just set his body on fire. And Robby was just as bad, always moaning and sucking at Dennis’ tongue, pressing his hardening dick to Dennis’ crotch. Of course he’d get turned on as fuck by that.
They make out, spit sliding down their chins as they kiss sloppily. Robby starts to crowd Dennis towards the bed, walking him backwards. When he feels the back of his knees hit the bed, he starts to unbutton Robby’s pants. The man pushes his own pants down and steps out of them, still not breaking the kiss. He’s currently exploring Dennis’ mouth like he’s never been in there before, not that Dennis is complaining. Robby has an extremely talented tongue and Dennis gets to reap the benefits of that.
Pushing his hands under Robby’s shirt he feels the man up, moaning at the flesh beneath his hands. He goes to push the shirt off, making them break their kiss. A strand of spit connects them for a second before it snaps back to Robby’s lips. He licks it while staring down at Dennis. Dennis smashes their lips together again, overcome by his own hunger and whines when Robby shortly pulls them apart to take off Dennis’ shirt.
“I need to feel and see you baby,” Robby sounds amused, one of his hands cupping Dennis’ cheek. “Don’t pout,” Dennis hadn’t realized he was, but Robby brings their lips together once again, cradling Dennis’ face. This time it’s Dennis moaning into the kiss, now that Robby is only in his briefs, he can literally feel him getting hard against him. And it’s really fucking turning him on. One of Robby’s hands goes to Dennis’ jeans and Dennis gets the hint, fumbling to get himself out of them while he keeps kissing Robby. Robby chuckles against his lips.
He slowly feels himself being pushed backwards and he gets the hint, finally separating to lay down on the bed. Robby is still standing and he pulls his boxers down. Watching raptly, Dennis bites his lip as Robby’s hard dick stands fully erect against his stomach. It’s not leaking precum yet, which he doesn’t always, but sometimes he leaks like a faucet. And fuck he’s so big, Dennis could never fully believe he was able to take all of Robby, but he’s seen his pussy flush against Robby’s stomach so many times he had to believe it.
Robby crawls on top of him, continuing their kiss and Dennis threads his fingers through Robby’s hair to pull him closer. They both moan when their bodies finally are pressed together. All that’s separating them are Dennis’ pesky boxer briefs. Before he can make a move to take them off, Robby rubs his clit from outside his underwear.
“You’re so handsome for me, hm? So nice and hard for daddy,” Robby rubs him hard and he whines. For a moment he wonders if Robby will tell him to be quieter, the way he pauses it seems like that’s what he’ll say. Instead, he continues his ministrations. “Can daddy taste you?”
“Please,” Dennis was already starting to shake, his excitement bounding ahead of his brain. God he was already soaked and Robby hadn’t even touched his lips or pussy yet. Grinning, Robby presses wet kisses down his body, shimmying Dennis out of his underwear as he does. Dennis spreads his legs, hearing the silent command in his head that Robby so rarely uttered.
“Good boy,” He whines again and bucks his hips. “I know, I’ll take care you baby, you were so good today,” He nods absentmindedly. He was good today, despite everything he didn’t turn into a massive dick to his parents and even when things got awkward he didn’t just leave. Dennis deserves this, he deserves to cum on Robby’s face. And on his dick.
Robby wraps his lips around Dennis and they both moan. Two hands come up to his naked thighs and hold him down, keeping him from humping up into Robby like he so often does. Fuck those hands were so strong and big, he shakes against them, and feels Robby grip him tighter. Good, don’t let go of me, he thinks selfishly. Robby’s tongue lazily rolls Dennis’ clit back and forth, as if he’s making out with him.
Robby was excellent with his tongue and he eats Dennis out like his life depends on it. He always got his beard soaked and even though Dennis didn’t love tasting himself, he could never deny Robby a kiss after. And it might turn Dennis on, when he covers Robby in his wetness or squirt, to see him dripping in Dennis’ arousal. The delicious beard burn between his thighs was just another plus to this arrangement.
That hot mouth moves to his lips, kissing at them and sucking. Dennis does his best to keep himself from fucking up into Robby’s mouth, hips shaking. Robby’s staring up at him with such a lustful look that that and that alone has Dennis moaning. That intense gaze as his tongue plays at his entrance makes him shake harder and Robby moans against him. His tongue finally slips in and Dennis is gripping at the sheets because all he wants to do is hold Robby’s head between his legs and hump him.
A finger slides inside next to the tongue, curling inwards. God that felt so fucking good, every time he does it makes Dennis light headed. Now he did move his hips up as Robby fucks into him, alternating between his tongue and finger. Dennis squirms against it, tries to get it deeper.
“Please, please more” Instead of answering, Robby moves back to his clit and swallows it easily. He hums around Dennis, making him finally grab at Robby’s hair. He doesn’t push him down or move him, he just grips.
Robby slides another finger in, moving his lips back down to Dennis’ hole where he slides his tongue back inside. He’s being leisurely with his fingering, taking his time to open him up at the same time as he gets his entire hand soaked. Dennis can’t look away from the sight, the sounds of Robby’s mouth and fingers filling the hotel room. Again, he wonders if they should be quieter. But again, he decides he doesn’t care about that and lets his moans out freely.
“Fuck, fuck!” Dennis thrashes, close to cumming when Robby slips a third finger in and moves his mouth back to his clit. He slurps loudly, sucking around Dennis and letting his spit join Dennis’ wetness. “Robby I—“ He doesn’t even get to finish before he’s arching up and cumming around those fingers and that mouth. Even after he cums, Robby keeps finger fucking and sucking on him.
Finally he seems to be satisfied with his clit, which was still hard and throbbing. But then he licks through Dennis’ wetness and cum. And he moans, like he’s the one whose pussy is being licked clean. Fuck, he looks so perfect like this, licking and lapping at Dennis’ hole like a man starved. God he did seem starved, the way he was burying his face between Dennis and moving his head back and forth. It felt nice, the beard burn and his tongue, but he needed Robby inside him.
Tugging on his hair, Dennis’ heart stops at the vision between his legs. Robby is panting, hot breath hitting his folds, mouth agape as he drips spit and Dennis’ wetness. His beard is soaked and his eyes are almost totally pupils.
“Just a little more, please?” All Dennis can do is nod as Robby dives back between him, licking eagerly. Despite wanting Robby in him right now, it was hard to say no to the man when he looked at him like that. He lets himself get lost in the sensation of Robby’s hot mouth on him, melting him and making him ooze. Fuck that tongue… he feels him push it back inside him and moan, licking at his walls and it makes Dennis arch a little, overstimulated. Robby finally pulls away, looking forlorn.
“Daddy, I’m empty” Dennis whines and Robby shoots up, pushing Dennis’ legs to his chest. His eyes widen a little because this position is one of the ones that usually makes him squirt and he knows how much Robby loves making him squirt. Ever since that first time, Robby has been damn near obsessed with it, which Dennis didn’t mind. It felt really good and he likes seeing Robby covered in his ejaculation. But what about the hotel sheets? Looking at Robby, it’s clear he doesn’t give a damn about the hotel sheets. Leaning down for a kiss, Dennis lets Robby’s tongue lick inside his mouth and moans despite the taste of himself. Robby’s kisses always had him feeling lightheaded and a little spacey. If Robby were to ask him something right now, his answer would probably be nonsense.
Dennis feels Robby’s tip pressing against his hole and for a second he thinks he’s about to push in but then Robby pulls away and brushes their dicks together. It electrifies Dennis every time he does this, fuck he was so big, especially in comparison to Dennis. Moaning he looks up at Robby who is staring down at their dicks raptly. He senses Dennis looking at him and stares back, grinning at whatever face Dennis is making.
“What’s turning you on baby?”
“You’re so big,” Dennis is breathless and Robby chuckles, leaning down to kiss him. Dennis grips the back of his neck to deepen the kiss and Robby makes a surprised sound. Now it’s his turn to delve in Robby’s mouth, licking at him and then sucking on his tongue. When he does that, Robby starts humping against him, like he’s fucking him, and the sensation of their dicks moving against each other like that has Dennis whining. It’s so fucking good.
“Can daddy fuck you now?” Dennis nods so hard it gets another chuckle from Robby. “Eager,”
“Because it’s you,” The line sounds corny but it works, Robby groans and lines his head up with Dennis’ hole. He clenches around the lightest pressure before relaxing.
“Good boy,” Once again Dennis feels spacey, whenever he’s called that he can feel himself getting more excited. Definitely more wet. Slowly pushing in, Robby’s eyes flutter close and he lets out a low moan. Dennis feels the stretch of every inch, every centimeter, and fucking loves it. God he loves how Robby’s cock stretches his pussy open. “Fuck, so perfect, nice and wet for daddy,”
He stays buried inside for a few moments, Dennis realizes he’s probably trying not to cum so he doesn’t push him. As spoiled as he is, one time he pushed his luck and Robby came on his stomach instead of inside. It had made him distraught to not feel a hot load inside of him, it was probably the worst punishment he’d ever gotten. So he’s patient even though he wants Robby driving into him and making him the mess he always turns into.
“So patient, such a good boy, you deserve a treat, hm?” Dennis moans as Robby finally moves, slowly pulling out and then sinking back in. He nods shyly, his favorite treat was Robby cumming in him but he loves his other treats too. Usually it’s Robby sucking and biting his neck until it’s purple. Dennis fucking loves it, it feels so good, and he loves the claim Robby has on him. It’s proof that he belongs to Robby. Even though it was a little embarrassing at work and he had to buy concealer because Dana had tore them a new one about it, he loves it. Sure enough, Robby bends him even further so he can latch on to Dennis’ neck.
The pace he sets is slow but hard, each thrust pushing Dennis a little closer to orgasm but still it evades him. Teeth press into the side of his neck, hard and pushing Dennis closer to the edge. He tries to rock back against Robby but it doesn’t really work. The pace suddenly picks up and Dennis whimpers, each thrust is hitting that perfect angle that will have him splashing all over Robby.
Robby moves from biting to sucking hard and loud, wet sounds echoing with the wet slap of his balls against Dennis’ ass and Dennis’ little moans. The hand that’s still on the back of Robby’s neck grips him, Dennis needs something to keep him tethered to reality. And it would always be Robby, the only thing that he could focus on.
“Fuck, I love you so much,” Dennis gets out between moans, unable to keep it in. His chest was so full of it, this care and desire for the older man. “Want your babies,” Robby moans at that and fucks him even harder. The breeding thing turned Dennis on more than he thought it would despite his hesitancy to actually get pregnant. He still didn’t know if he wanted kids but he knew Robby really wanted kids, even if they hadn’t explicitly had that talk yet. And it always makes Robby a little more sloppy, a little less coordinated. Dennis loves seeing him lose his cool and become a mess like he always is. “Daddy need it so bad, need to be bred by you,”
“I will baby, I’ll breed you nice and deep,” Robby unlatches from his neck and crashes their lips together. It’s sloppy and mostly spit, Dennis starting to drool at the pleasure. One of Robby’s hands goes to rub Dennis’ clit and he moans, already so close. “Can you squirt for me baby? Get me nice and wet?” Fuck he always sounded so hungry when he talked about Dennis squirting. And he could feel that familiar build up and knew it was coming. All he does is nod but it makes Robby moan and stroke his dick faster. Shit he’s close, his body starting to tense up.
“I’m—oh fuck, fuck,” Dennis slams his head against the pillow as he cums, squirting so Robby pulls out. He slaps his dick against Dennis as he squirts, splashing the liquid all over Robby’s chest, and it has him whimpering, it felt so fucking good. His eyes roll back as his orgasm rushes through him, paired with Robby’s groans he feels like he’s on cloud nine. As soon as he’s stopped, Robby’s diving back in. Dennis can feel the wetness of his upper thighs and it makes his stomach warm. His pace is more slow and sloppy, probably high off of Dennis’ squirt.
Robby leans his head down so his mouth is beside Dennis’ ear. Shit he doesn’t know if he can handle this, he might go crazy.
“Such a good boy for me, so fucking perfect, so nice and wet for me” His voice is damn near a growl and Dennis can’t help whatever embarrassed noise he makes. That voice, so low and vibrating in his ear was making his stomach hot. Paired with how much he knew Robby loves how wet he gets, he felt a sense of pride in being able to be absolutely soaked for him. “Maybe daddy will get you pregnant, because you’ve been so good,”
“Please, I deserve it,” Now Robby nips at his ear lobe. “Don’t you want me full of your cum?”
“Dennis I— fuck baby,” He sounds wrecked and Dennis feels his favorite warmth spreading inside him. “There you go baby, there you go,” Robby murmurs, barely pulling out as he thrusts hard into Dennis. It makes him moan, gripping at Robby to hold him close. God he fucking needed Robby’s cum like air. Robby kisses him, shaking and Dennis pets at him now, trying to be calming.
They stay like that, kissing tenderly and wrapped in each other for a minute or two. Then Robby makes a sound he’s never heard, some sort of punched out noise. A new flood of warmth fills him and he gasps, fuck this has never happened before. Robby thrusts shallowly, making these cute little sounds like he’s overwhelmed and fuck is that how Robby feels when Dennis gets overwhelmed?
“Thank you daddy,” He bats his eyelashes and the next kiss is rougher as Robby continues to fuck into him even though he’s starting to get soft. When he finally does slip out they both groan. Dennis chances a look down and fuck, his dick is covered in cum. Salivating, he bats his eyelashes again. “Can I clean your cock?”
Robby chuckles and gets off of Dennis, but before Dennis can get up, he’s pinned down by Robby pushing his knees back against his chest. Robby’s eyes have a glint in them and Dennis excitedly realizes what he’s going to do.
“First daddy’s gonna give you something else to swallow,” He moves between Dennis’ legs and Dennis whimpers when he feels his mouth sucking over his used hole. Robby moans as he collects his own cum from Dennis’ pussy and when he sits up, Dennis has his mouth open, ready for his treat. There’s a lot, a whole mouthful that Robby pushes into him and Dennis greedily swallows. He loves when he gets to feel Robby cum inside him and he gets to taste him. He pulls Robby into a kiss after swallowing and licks his mouth for any remnants. “Greedy boy, you still want more?”
“Yes daddy, always want it,” He sounds so pathetic but Robby loves it. Moving up, Robby kneels above him and lets his cock hang in front of Dennis’ mouth. Dennis moves his knees from his chest down.
“Then clean my cock,” Dennis doesn’t need to be told twice, he leans up and takes Robby’s soft dick into his mouth and moans at the taste. “That’s it baby,” Robby sighs, moving deeper into his mouth as Dennis swallows the cum around him. God he loves how he tastes and loves swallowing Robby’s cum so he got to keep it inside of him, unlike when it dripped out of his pussy. He deserves to keep it all inside.
Dennis bobs his head, even though he knows Robby won’t get hard he hopes it at least feels good and doesn’t overwhelm him. Robby lets him amuse himself, Dennis squirming at how turned on he is, sucking Robby’s soft dick felt nice even though he loves choking on his hard dick. Finally he pulls away, Robby shiny and wet.
“Fuck Denny,” Robby lays down beside Dennis and kisses him softly. Dennis doesn’t know if Robby likes to taste himself or if he’s the same as Dennis and just likes kissing him more than caring about how he tastes. Plus he probably can taste a little of Dennis too. “How did I get so lucky?”
“Oh please,” Rolling his eyes he scoffs but Robby’s being sincere. He kisses Dennis’ cheek and lingers for a few moments before kissing his nose. It felt so raw and intimate Dennis felt like his chest was being cracked open, heart pounding and aching. Turning his head, he brings Robby into a slow kiss, making him forget about the wetness beneath him. It’s only when Robby pulls away that he cringes.
“Getting cold?” All he can do is nod as he tries to shift away from the wet spot beneath him. “How about we get showered then deal with this?” He presses his nose into the side of Dennis’ head, breathing him in.
“Deal,”
