cant_choose_one: this pamphlet could not have come into being without the engine specs posted by @infoleaks, credit to you. all weapons info is mine as always.
Present: Nice! The part with the faulty wiring will definitely be useful for me.
hs118fju: What size is the explosion generated with the rifle on page 3?
cant_choose_one: small, mostly shrapnel. overcharging a 5-by-7 creates a bigger explosion if you’re looking for flashy, but it’s not very deadly and the sabotage is too easy to find during a routine equipment check.
shot_at_dawn: Your pamphlets should just be called How To Get Away With Murder (For Engineers)
shot_at_dawn: Or non-engineers, actually.
cant_choose_one: naming the next one “how to get away with murder for idiots”

Mental warfare update! I got our rations management officer in on it too, so it’s going better than ever. It’s so much easier to convince my captain he’s seeing things when I have someone to back me up.
Since the last update I have:
- Remote-keyed the lights in his quarters to mine so I can turn them to full brightness in the middle of his sleep-cycle
- Gotten RMO to dye my rations green and pretended not to see anything wrong with it when he asked
- Convinced him that me and RMO were holding a crucial conversation about battle plans with someone he couldn’t see
- Taped a small speaker to his chair that intermittently plays animal noises (also remote-keyed to me) and pretended not to hear.
I can see his sanity slowly slipping away, and there has never been a more rewarding sight.

krakotldisliker: And all my RMO can do is spit in your face if you try to ask her anything...
fishingbot: Would you like to write a pamphlet about your methods? Some people (me) might be interested.
Present: Honestly, it’s not too difficult to replicate by yourself. You simply act like they are crazy and imagining things until they start doubting their sanity.
fishingbot: I don’t understand people well enough to do that.

MUTINY WATCH 33/201/16
Successful mutinies: 0
Failed mutinies: 4
Attempted mutinies: 12
Three failed mutinies and seven of the attempted mutinies are from Chief Hunter Arska’s sector. I’d wager to say that people don’t like weak leaders put in their position by Betterment instead of rising through the ranks normally.
The fourth failed mutiny got as far as stealing a cattle ship before they were apprehended. The leader – a Huntleader Thaxol – was executed by Chief Hunter Isif personally.
The other three mutineers’ names are Fayal, Shrika and Kitor.

chipped05: Disappointing. I could have sworn Chief Hunter Isif was one of ours.
hs118fju: @chipped05 You’re delusional.
hs118fju: Being a Chief Hunter is the opposite of free thinking, you have to be a Betterment puppet to get that far.
fishingbot: What is the difference between a failed and an attempted mutiny?
mutinywatch: @fishingbot A failed mutiny is a mutiny that is put down after it started. An attempted mutiny is a mutiny so badly organized it never even started because the would-be leader has no backing.
fishingbot: Okay. Has there ever been a successful mutiny?
updraft: yeah we’ve got @cant_choose_one, the only wannabe mutineer to successfully start a career in piracy
shot_at_dawn: Wait, is @cant_choose_one actually Xauris? I thought that was a joke.

chipped05: They are so close to getting it.
Present: Wow @hs118fju how many have been executed for that? Talk like that would be considered treason where I am.

I want to live in sector 3.
I’d wake up to news of my superior being assassinated on live camera. I’d kill my captain in a mutiny. I’d turn on the leader of the mutiny and kill them too. Then me and my fellow mutineers would get sent to a reeducation camp and cannibalize each other. We’d organize a mutiny at the internment camp, and we’d kill and eat the director. I’d assassinate the remaining leaders on live camera. I’d steal a ship and become a pirate captain. I’d get assassinated on live camera when my crew revolts against me, and then they’d dismember and eat my corpse.
I wish I lived in sector 3.

Four of the failed mutinies are from Chief Hunter Naxla’s sector. The mutineers – Yalth, Xilla, Tasyth, and Oxaur – reportedly planned the timing together, though the mutinies were separate. Combined casualties are two and a half ships’ worth of cattle, one space station, two dead fleet captains and one dead fleet commander.
The one who assassinated Chief Hunter Isthel on camera was a scout called Seirn, who apparently acted without the knowledge or help of anyone else. The other mutineers’ names are Sulleth, Xira, Keth, and Kursal.

chipped05: Did you eat its eggs? If I wasn’t already a free thinker, that would have done it for me. If the humans ever want to incite treason in the Dominion, they should just give us a supply of chicken eggs.

chipped05: The wisest decision Chief Hunter Isif has ever made was allying with the species that is literally sitting on a mountain of food. Why would anyone ever want to go raiding when the humans are just giving away delicacies for free?
