Chapter 1 - The Bridge
I decided I'd take a walk, clear my head a little bit maybe. But things can't last now can they? I stopped at the corner just deciding I needed a break from walking, it wasn't really helping anyways. I closed my eyes trying to just think of something else other than how ticked off I am. And when I felt arms wrap around me from behind, and a voice that said "Ring! Ring? Are you alright?" I just snapped. I shoved the person off, and turned to look at them. It was Spawn, I was too pissed to realize what I was saying to him so…"I'm already tired of you." I snapped this to him, "Just…Leave me alone!" and, with that…I walked off. I hadn't even turned around to look at him, just…walked away. No apology, no question…nothing. I had gone home for the night, finally realizing what I had said and and thought about it for a while before I finally went to sleep. I….had a nightmare…which was odd, considering I'd never even had them when I was a kid. It was……strange…I had seen Spawn, he was at Barry's, so I had walked up to him and opened my mouth to speak but, was quickly cut off "Ring, we've been friends for a while right…?" Spawn had turned to look at me and dragged me outside. "We've been friends since preschool, and that's a long time, don't you agree, Ring?" I looked at Spawn, confused as to where this was going and quickly forced myself to ask, "Spawn…what do you, mean?" He looked at me, dead in the eyes, I've…never seen him so…cold…."Fire Ring. You are the most pathetic piece of shit I've ever met. I'm tired of you." I was…….stunned…to say the least…I had opened my mouth to speak but felt myself shoved to the ground, and suddenly saw myself looking at the cold……cold night sky. I sat up and saw…a bridge? I brushed myself off and started across it, I saw a framed picture of me and Spawn, but the glass was shattered and a piece was torn off, from what I could tell at least, I tried to get a better look at it but suddenly the bridge gave out under me and a shut my eyes….and……then I woke up. I sat up in bed and looked around my room, walking to the bathroom to splash cold water on my face before going back to sit on the edge of my bed. "God….I……..I need to take a walk…to clear my head a little bit….." I had muttered this to myself, getting up and walking to my front door.
