It had been a while since Sharpness was back online. After the whole betrayal thing he started to fall behind regarding his status on the server.
Since the first initial death caused by Jude, people started to spawn camp him, barely letting him crawl his way to Jude’s base to get what little armor the other was letting him have.
Sometimes he really did hate this server, people had no remorse for the weak, at least he left those guys alone.
Right now he was sitting at a solid 2 strength and even that wasn’t guaranteed if we decided to walk by spawn anytime soon. Word on the street said that Jude had kept his strength and flaunted it around like it was some sick badge of honor, it pissed him off.
Sure, he had technically betrayed Jude, but he also technically betrayed him by making that backup trap! Who’s really in the wrong?
..
He knows he is.
As much as he screams out that he hates Jude, that he wants him 6ft under without the slightest chance of survival, he still can’t lie to himself.
Every interaction with the bunny went the same. Either he got trapped and killed while hearing maniacal laughter from below, or he’d just get blatantly ignored, it was starting to make him mad.
He kept seeing Jude talking with Parker like it was the most natural thing in the world, but as soon as he’d get close enough so that he was in their line of sight, Jude would drag the other to their base.
Every time he himself tried to initiate a conversation he’d get ghosted in real life as Jude would just roll his eyes and walk away. The longing he had for Jude’s attention only grew as the days passed on, the only time he heard the hybrid somewhat speak to him being the laughs he received while at deaths door.
Soon enough he got so desperate that he started falling for traps that he already knew was there just so that he could hear that annoying voice again, but soon even that was switched as Jude would simply make instant damage arrows to shoot or even worse make Parker do it.
Walking in the barren wasteland that was known as Jude’s testing domain, Sharpness’s mind was starting to clog. The harder he tried to think of his next move, the less outcome he actually had.
Grinding for more armor felt useless, the only people he could take head on even with full neatherite were probably the cats and even then he didn’t feel confident.
Getting strength was out of the picture as no one liked him or trusted him enough to trade him some.
Sharps whole deal was fighting, but now he couldn’t even do that. Recently he had dropped down on the board, falling behind the 100 spot, being closer to 110 now. Frustration was boiling up, begging to be let out, but even then he couldn’t do much.
He had spent the last few weeks offline from strength, instead being on the MC tier ranking server desperately trying to regain his rank but to no avail. Safe to say he was exhausted.
After Jude he tried to make alliances, no one accepted. Everyone just assumed he just wanted to use them or just jump them, which he did wanna do but it still hurt that they assumed that.
Jude’s area was devoid of any human contact excluding the bad bunny himself, no one wanted to risk being caught in one of his traps even if the ones here weren’t fully developed.
Sharp basically knew each one that was placed here, he even helped Jude add some himself, albeit that being just him trailing behind the redstone genus while he worked just providing company.
Having nothing better to do, he started to climb a jagged mountain. The sides were full of sharp rocks and exposed tree roots, but he managed to pull through and got o the top.
The view was amazing, clouds dancing around because of the strong wind. The sun began to set and the usual blue sky turned shades of pink before transitioning to a bright violet, turning the clouds the same color that resembled a certain bunny he knew.
Sharp let his legs dangle, resting him arms at his sides. He really needed to plan his life out soon, just staying a thousand blocks from spawn wouldn’t last him.
Sharpness looked around and admired the server. He had made countless memories here, had worked with so many and beat twice as much more.
Maybe he had done enough.
Maybe his time on the server was over.
That would explain why everyone started avoiding him, he was getting too predictable, bad side effects of being a brick half of the time.
When joining an SMP, the player would chant a binding spell making it so that the could only play on that SMP, but giving them unlimited lives in the process. This didn’t involve any events, tier testing servers or temporary SMP like worlds.
The only way to join a different server was to break the pact made on the first day, which let the player have infinite lives in the world, after which they would have to die again to be able to access new SMPs.
Sharpness thought about his gameplay in the past month. No one really interacted with him and he wasn’t able to fight anyone, it physically couldn’t get any worse for him being the bloodthirsty extrovert he was.
Jude ignoring him was really just the final nail in the coffin. Sharpness took a deep breath and typed in the command.

Conexion started Bind-Break…
━━━ˎˊ˗
“Shit..” he muttered out.
He didn’t know that it’d get revealed to the whole server, how annoying.
The command took longer to process the longer the player had been on the server and the more strength they had gotten over said time, not including loosing it.
The swordsman just let out another deep sigh and waited for the command to finish. As he closed his eyes, his communicator started rapidly buzzing.
Already knowing the reason, Sharpness still had that feeling of being wanted of the server, so he looked at the messages.
━━━ˎˊ˗
_Tai : HELLO? [x4]
_Tai : SHARP WTH??
LettuceK : ??
Spongs : whats goin on?
Spongs : the hells bind break??
━━━ˎˊ˗
Sharpness looked at his communicator with slightly droopy eyes. Even in his death Jude refused to acknowledge him.
*ping!*
“Huh..”
━━━ˎˊ˗
JudeLow whispers to you : Sharp what the fuck are you doing??
JudeLow whispers to you : tell me where you are now
JudeLow whispers to you : don’t do anything stupid or I swear to god
JudeLow whispers to you : Sharp [x3]
JudeLow whispers to you : don’t fucking ignore me right now
━━━ˎˊ˗
Sharpness was a sick, sick man. As much as he hated seeing Jude so distressed, for some reason he felt relief that Jude cared about him more.
..
Oh..
..
How could he have not figured it out sooner?
Sure, he was known as the servers lowest iq player, but to not even know his own feelings? That was on another level of stupid.
Yeah, he was definitely making the right choice by leaving. The only reason he’d survived before this was because Jude’s brain was big enough for the two of them.
He just grabbed his communicator and threw it off the cliff. At least he figured things out before he died. He hoped Jude wouldn’t mourn him too much. In reality he probably wouldn’t at all, I mean he didbetray him.
Sharpness stood up and stretched before getting ready to plummet. He looked back at the sunset one more time before closing his eyes and falling forward.
..
Seconds went by and nothing happened. He slowly opened his eyes only to realize that he had a thin metal wire on his waist holding him back.
Confused, he look around only to spot a very tired, sweaty bunny, holding his arm where he had his rope dispenser.
Well this just got awkward.
“..hi?” Sharpness said, trying to break the tension. He failed miserably.
“..HI?! THATS WHAT YOU SAY AFTER ALMOST DYING?!” Jude yelled out looking more out of breath than before.
“Well.. what else should I say?”
Jude looked like steam was about to blow out from his ears as he tried to tug Sharpness close to him.
“Why the hell are you resisting?! Get over here!”
“Look, Jude, I appreciate the thought but I really do want this.”
“What?!”
“Look, I’ve thought about it and I’ve realized that I’ve done enough on the server. I’ve reached my highs and I’m currently at my low, so why not just end it?”
“Sharp.. you can’t say that..” Jude’s voice was shaking, eyes starting to glass over.
“I can’t? I don’t wanna just be a nuisance here.”
“Why are you a nuisance?? What would your teammates do after their best fighter just dies?”
“I don’t have a team Jude and I’ve been getting worse at pvp. You even know it now, how long has it even been since we last talked? I can’t do anything anymore, so please.. just let go.” His voice was close to a torture victim begging for mercy. It just made Jude even madder.
“..no.” He said before pouring every ounce of strength he had left into tugging Sharpness towards him.
As soon as the swordsman was in arms reach, he took the opportunity to grab him by the forearms and tackle him to the ground.
“Ow! Jude what the hell!”
“You aren’t just gonna leave me alone because you think you’ve lost your spark! I’m not letting you, you hear me!” Jude was hysterical, finally letting the tears that were welling up in his eyes to drop.
“What..?”
“I’ve left you alone for the past month because you’ve looked worse and worse every day. I thought that if I trapped you you’d get worse, not that I think you’re shit now!” Jude’s grip on his arms only got tighter as his breaths got more intense.
“Is that the only reason you wanna do this Sharp..?” He said after a moment of silence, praying that it was and that Sharpness hadn’t gotten bored himself.
“..yeah?” Jude let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding in.
“Ok.. here’s what we’re gonna do. We’re gonna go home, get you all cleaned up, take a good long rest and then we come back to this.”
“No, Jude I promise this is for the best!”
“For who?!”
“For everyone!”
“Well it sure as hell won’t be good for me! Who will I get to annoy after you do that? Who will be my opposite when you leave? I don’t care if you can’t comprehend that you mean something to me right now but that’s a stone cold fact so shut up!”
“..you care about me..?” Something akin to hope flashed in Sharpnesses eyes.
“..I said shut up! We’re going home.”
“No, you tell me why you mean by that or I’m not going back!”
“Why are you acting like such a baby!”
“I’m not moving!” Sharpness moved his arms and hugged a nearby tree while looking at the hybrid in the eyes. If only Jude was strong enough to pry him away.
“God! I like you Sharpness! I’ve liked you ever since we teamed up!” Jude closed his eyes while tilting his head slightly down. This was embarrassing, imagine professing your love to your own enemy.
Moments went by without another word said. The bunny just sat uncomfortably still, still keeping his ears sharp for any movement coming from the other.
Soon enough, the swordsman did end up making a move, but just as Jude was getting ready to shoot out another rope he got engulfed by two desperate arms.
“I like you a lot too Jude.. I never thought you’d feel the same way.” Sharpness had placed his arms around the hybrids chest while digging his face into the crook of his neck, presumably to hide his face.
Jude say there speechless, not really processing what was going on until he finally moved his arms and hugged the other back.
He dropped his head so that his chin was on Sharpnesses shoulder and lulled his head to the side.
“You promise not to do anything like that again right?..”
“Not if you promise to never leave me alone again.”
“I’m already planning on that.” Jude scoffed.
“Then we’re all good!” Sharpness let out a gentle smile as he pulled away, looking at the trappers face again.
“What are you looking at weirdo.”
“I didn’t know your eyes changed color..”
“..what?”
“Yeah! They’re red.”
“I.. didn’t know either.”
Soon hearing that, the fighter let out a string of giggles that morphed into pure laughter. As much as Jude tried to object, the sound of the other laughing was more than enough for compensation.
“Cmon, let’s just go home already. I just ran like, a thousand blocks..” Jude huffed out as he stood up, snatching Sharpnesses hand in the process.
Home.
Sharpness liked the sound of that.
