Chapter Text

By most measures, their mission had failed. The nine-tailed jinchuriki had slipped through the Zombie Duo’s grasp. Still, in Hidan's humble opinion, they managed to procure the next best thing:

Fresh meat.

This one was real pretty, too. A proper damsel in distress. Her teammates risked their lives time and time again to protect her. Futile efforts that left even the great Kakashi Hatake severely wounded.

The original plan had fallen by the wayside following the bothersome antics of the Hidden Leaf. Kakashi and his ensemble intercepted them in a surprise attack, destroying one of Kakuzu's hearts and nearly decapitating Hidan for a second time. Mid-battle, it became obvious that capturing their opponent's weakest link—their kunoichi— would be a promising bargaining chip in return for the nine-tails. It wasn't often Hidan and Kakuzu retreated from a fight, and even less so for a Jashinist to abandon an opportunity for slaughter, but it was the only way they could guarantee victory while luring the Uzumaki boy out from hiding. Thus, they made their escape with the girl in tow, evading the Leaf until it was time to negotiate.

Surely Leader would approve of such a plan. And if he didn't, Jashin would be offered a pretty blonde sacrifice, and Kakuzu would cash in on a minor bounty. It was win-win.

Through the depths of the forest, the two made their way back to the Akatsuki headquarters, Hidan with his scythe resting over one shoulder and Kakuzu with the girl hung over his. She was unmoving and unconscious. Not a word was spoken since they made their retreat, not until—

"You must be getting tired. I don't mind carrying her for you." Deceiver that he was, Hidan's words ran liquid smooth, voice piercing through the previously held silence.

In his periphery, Kakuzu shot his partner a pointed glance. His temple twinged, the familiar simmer of irritation Hidan was apt to induce beginning to warm his veins.

Not surprisingly, he saw that the Jashinist's gaze wasn't fixated on him, but on the girl he carried.

"Not a chance. This girl is a valuable component in obtaining the nine-tailed jinchuriki. I'm not risking you killing her."

"Kill her?" The Priest scoffed a laugh. "Who said anything about killing her? I'm just trying to be nice is all. Help out a bit. Where's the harm in that?" Betraying himself, his eyes shifted as he spoke, falling back to where Ino's skirt met her upper thigh. Peeking beneath her fishnet shorts was the feminine outline of her hips, leaving just enough to Hidan's imagination. And not that he was complaining, but in an outfit like that, he couldn't help but wonder how she expected anyone to take her seriously.

Or more importantly, how Kakuzu expected him to stay focused while dangling her directly in front of him.

"Forget it," came Kakuzu's stern reply. "Shut up and keep walking."

Tearing his eyes away from Ino's behind, Hidan clicked his tongue in a display of clear disappointment. "You never let me have any fun, you know that?"

Duotone eyes remained focused ahead. "This is an important mission. It isn't meant to be fun."

Hidan rolled his eyes so hard it hurt the sockets of his skull. "Oh give me a break... She's knocked out cold, you know. Doesn't know where she is or how she got here.... Why don't we take her for a test run before bringing her back to the rest of the team? You can't tell me you haven't thought about it. Pretty thing like that..." His eyes were wandering again. So helpless and weak....

"—I haven't." Asserted his partner bluntly. "And neither will you. I won't let you defile our hostage with your vile perversions."

Hidan expected as much. Can't blame a man for trying. Exhaling through his nose, he allowed the lechery to bleed from his expression, leaving it bored, heavy, and resentful.

Many hours of daylight later, the two set up camp in a secluded clearing not far from their headquarters.

"This should suffice," grumbled Kakuzu as he set the Yamanaka girl down on a bed of moss. She had been unconcious long enough now for Kakuzu to wonder if she suffered brain damage. A pity if she had, but even so, he only needed her alive, not cognitively functional.

His eyes shifted to Hidan then, who had a poorly concealed impish look on his face, like a dog eyeing its owner's dinner. Kakuzu glowered at him.

"What?" Hidan asked, playing dumb as he set his trident scythe against the trunk of a tree. "Don't look at me like that. I didn't even say anything."

"Didn't need to." Kakuzu replied, settling himself beside the girl and raising his hands over his head to use as a pillow. He closed his eyes, but his tone lost no edge. "You're taking first watch. I'll know if you try anything stupid."

Hidan came to a crouch across from them, resting his elbows on his knees as his mouth pursed in contemplation. There was no way that girl was staying unconscious through the night. She had to wake up eventually. And when she did...

"Yeah, yeah," mocked the Jashinist. "Wouldn't dream of it. Now go to sleep already." He hadn't completed his sentence before his eyes drifted back to Ino. She lay sprawled among the dewy greenery; a complimentary contrast to her purple clothes and long, white-blonde ponytail.

His mind began to wander into the realm of lust-filled impurities. Thankfully his religion allowed for such thoughts. Encouraged, even. Pain might've been the primary mode of worship, but pleasure wasn't far behind, and Jashin demanded both. In that moment, he vowed to take her as a sacrifice one way or another, Kakuzu be damned.

And such an opportunity would soon present itself once he heard the girl's breath waver into waking territory. He watched her eyes pinch as she groaned softly, hands roaming her surroundings in search of purchase.

The second Ino's eyes opened, Hidan closed his, feigning slumber.

The kunoichi slowly sat up, rubbing a sore spot on her head as she took in the sight of her captors (seemingly) fast asleep. A few beats pass, then Hidan hears her predictably, stupidly, rise from the moss as quietly as she could, careful not to make any sudden movements or sound.

Hidan felt his heart quicken. Fuck, this was exhilarating. Something about the prospect of the chase was more appealing to him than fighting. He'd let her get comfortable, get cocky, think she had outsmarted them and escaped... then he would strike.

Flinching through her wounds, Ino stealthily rose to her feet, tiptoeing around dry leaves and branches, controlling her breathing, steadying her muscles... and just when she thought she was safe, when she had created enough distance to start walking normally, that's when she heard a voice come from behind her, close enough to make her jump.

"Going somewhere?"

Ino froze. Her eyes looked as far back as they could go, but she didn't turn around, not at first, not until Hidan prowled closer, his nefarious grin revealing his excitement. She met his presence with all the bravery she could muster.

Hidan cocked his head to the side, eyes shamelessly roaming her figure now that she was upright and animated. Fuck, he couldn't wait to get his hands on her.

Ino grit, "Stay away from me," but she had no weapons. No chakra. No upper hand. All she had was her wit, and something told her he was a predator she couldn't easily outfox.

Hidan's grin widened, delighted by the flash of defiance in her eyes. He took a casual step forward, prompting a defensive step back from his prey. "Aw, come on now," he crooned, voice dripping with faux disappointment. "Don’t be like that. I was just about to show you the real reason we brought you along." His purple eyes gleamed with something dark and thrilling, like a hunter admiring his cornered prey. "Gets real lonely out here, especially with a teammate like Kakuzu." Who, despite what he'd want others to think, was an extremely deep sleeper, something Hidan often used to his advantage during their missions. He'd often sneak away to perform his rituals during these times.

"I don't wanna hurt'cha," he lied, "I'm just looking for a friend."

A clear look of disgust flickered across Ino's face. She didn't like the way he was looking at her. His entire disposition screamed dangerous.

Hidan chuckled, low and rough, as he closed the gap between them again, his boot kicking up a small cloud of dust. "Or maybe you’re one of those types who likes playing hard to get," he mused, his tone suddenly sugary sweet, contrasting sharply with the predatory glint in his gaze. "I don’t mind. In fact..." He raised a hand, intending to brush the strand hair out of her eyes. "...I kinda dig the struggle."

Repugnance overcame her, and she smacked his hand away before it could reach her. "Don't fucking touch me!" She hissed.

The rejection only aroused Hidan further. "Oo, so you do like playing hard to get. That's okay, I can work with that. Makes this more fun anyway."

Ino's nostrils flared. She couldn't believe this guy. As if she'd want to be anywhere near the man who murdered her sensei in cold blood. But despite her rage, even she knew she couldn't defeat an S-class criminal like Hidan, especially with his partner nearby. Fighting wasn't an option. Fawning would leave her vulnerable to his advances. Flight was her only chance at survival.

Without another word, the girl broke into a full-on sprint in the opposite direction, her feet desperately carrying her as far and as fast as they could go. Hidan merely watched as her figure disappeared into the woodland, his tongue tracing the outline of his lower lip with carnal hunger.

He gave a gentleman's head start before pursuing her, taking an aerial approach by launching himself into the tree canopy with practiced ease. Ino's shadow moved in a zig-zagging blur, trained, agile, and strategic. Hidan followed every step from above, tearing through branches with no attempt to conceal his whereabouts. He wanted her to feel how close he was. To hear the inevitability of her capture.

Ino slowly became more and more exhausted. It began to show in her gait. Her face and hair were riddled with sweat, dirt, and leaves. But she didn't stop. Couldn't stop.

Eventually, Hidan took pity on her and decided to descend, taking one strong, valiant leap that landed him mere inches in front of her. Ino ran into his broad chest full speed, knocking the wind out of her as she tumbled to the ground. She sputtered, stunned and seeing stars.

Hidan's looming shadow slowly cast over her smaller frame. His grin was the first thing she saw when she sobered herself. Something told her it would be the last thing she'd ever see, and that made her sick to her stomach.

"Tired yet? You sure look it." He took a step forward to place himself on either side of one of her outstretched legs. "And since you made me go through all this work to catch you again, I think you owe me a little something in return."

Ino tried to curl her legs in to scramble herself upwards, but Hidan was too fast; he descended upon her with brute, ignorant strength, sliding a knee between her legs and grabbing each forearm to pin her against the cold soil. The girl snarled in protest, squirming and doing all she could to get him off, crying out, "Let go of me!!!"

Hidan responded with a grin of nefarious triumph. Finally. His eyes hungrily admired her writhing body, enjoying the way her breasts bounced with every jerk. His strong hands lifted both her arms over her head, catching her wrists in a brutal clutch so his free hand could tame her bucking hips, palm roaming her curves as he pinned her.

"Feel that? Fuck..." He dipped down to bury his face in the crook of her neck, ghosting his lips over her damp skin. His body pressed harder against her, his thigh pushing into her core while his growing bulge dragged against the fabric of her skirt. Feeling this, Ino panicked.

"N-no!!!" She screamed louder, thrashing, "S-stop!!!"

Hidan chuckled lightly, cooing quietly against her neck, "Shhh…" before placing a mockingly tender kiss to her flesh in a display of false comfort.

The hand on her thigh slowly rose to the flat of her stomach. He swore he could feel her heart beating beneath it. All of her fear... the crushing weight of her position... it was delectable. Jashin would be pleased with this sacrifice.

As his hand ventured more North, nearing the hem of her top, a harsh, paternal voice rang from above.

"Hidan."

The Priest froze, lips lingering over Ino's pulse. Ino also stilled, chest heaving.

Fuck.

He could feel Kakuzu's disapproving glare burning into his back. Like a wolf being interrupted from devouring its dinner, Hidan's lips curled into a snarl.

"What."

"Get up."

Hidan didn't move; his grip on Ino tightened hard enough to bruise.

A few beats pass, then tension between all three of them thickening. Then,

"Now."
