6:00am
The sunlight peered through the window. Lighting up their bedroom with warm tones.
Yamaguchis stretched his arms as his alarm began to ring. His eyes feeling heavy as he sat up. He stopped his alarm before turning to his to be greeted by his sleeping lover.
He ran his fingers through his hair gently before placing a tender kiss on his temple.
“Good morning sleepyhead”
He watched as the blonde began to stretch out. Tsukishima huffed as he learned into his lovers warm embrace.
“It’s to early” the blonde mumbled
“Baby you have practice in an hour and a half and I need to get ready for work” he placed another kiss on the blondes temple before making his way out of the bed.
He walked over to the bathroom, turning the shower on and getting himself ready.
6:21am
After a while he made his was out of the bathroom. Noticing a half asleep tsukishima still lying in the same spot. He made his way closer and sat himself down on the bed.
“Hey baby I have to leave in 45 ish minutes. Do you want to drive me or I can my bike?”
Tsukishima opened his eyes. Bring his hand to the others neck. He gently guided yamaguchi to meet his lips before placing a soft kiss on his lips.
“Tadashi, your beauty is breath taking” he placed a kiss against his check “I’m going to jump in the shower quickly and I’ll meet you in the kitchen. Are you alright to drive your today baby as sleep seemed to be my priority this morning” he chuckled gently, a smile sneaking across his lips.
“Of course tsukki, that works with me. I’ll get started on break now. Want me to make you a coffee” his words were soft and his smile bright. Each morning together was dreamy. Domestic life brought a sense of comfort and warmth.
“Yes please my love” tsukishima gave him one last kiss before getting up and making his way to the bathroom to start his morning
6:36am
After 15 odd minutes breakfast was being severed. He heard the bedroom open slowly. A tried tsukishima made his way over to great the other.
“Umm breakfast looks amazing, you truly do complete me” tsukishima wasn’t one to express a soft side to many. He built his wall high and reused to let many see a tender side. Except yamaguchi. No soul brought him for comfort and reassurance that his green eyed lover.
“Thank you tsukki, I’ve made you coffee as well” he replied with a smile grabbing both their plates and bringing them over to their dining table as tsukishima followed with their drinks.
Breakfast went calming. Light conversation and laughter filled the room. A room full of true tender love and devotion.
6:56am
Once breakfast came to an end they began to clear away their mess.
“Ok tsukki, it’s about time for me to head to work”
“Do you have to?” He raised a brow as the other was putting on his shoes.
“Yes baby, unfortunately I do”
He placed his motorbike gear over his clothes before grabbing his bag and his helmet.
Tsukishima walked over to him. His hands placed either side of his jaw. He pulled him into a kiss.
“Message me once you arrive at work ok?”
“Yes boss will do” yamaguchi let out a chuckle. He placed his hands around the other an pulled him into a hug “I hope you have a good practice. Let me know when you’re off for lunch. There’s a coffee shop I want to check out on my lunch break and would love for you to join me baby”
“Sounds like a date. Have the best day gorgeous and be careful on the road. I’ll see you in a couple hours” he leaned into the hug before placing a final kiss into his lovers lips.
Yamaguchi gave a gentle wave as he left. Everything about him caused his heart to skip a beat. A love so pure and deep, passion and devotion only a true love could create.
7:05am
After getting himself sorted. He grabbed his gym bag and made his away out of his apartment.
The drive was around 10 minutes. Once arriving he made his way into a shop next to his teams gym.
Quickly grabbing himself a drink and some snacks for him and yams to enjoy later on before heading into practice
7:30am
Once his practice uniform was on he checked his phone. He was unusual for Yamaguchi to not have messaged by now.
‘Maybe he got caught up in traffic, he will message soon I’m overthinking it’
As the team made their way into the gym to stretch he glanced yet again at the lack of messages from his lover.
He grabbed his headphones and water bottle and followed behind his team makes. They had weights before practice today. Iwaizumi (27 athletic trainer) was walking them through individual exercises to work specific muscles in their arms. Usually this would be a session tsukishima enjoyed but a cloud of dread crept over him.
He couldn’t focus, his mind was every where but where it was supposed to be. The session dragged on by slowly.
9:15 am
Still no message. Now his concern was growing. Yams was always a quick texter, he messaged the moment he got to work and usually by now he’s be yapping about whatever project he was working on.
His team was sponsored by Yamaguchi company. After many years of hard work yams had gained himself a decently high position and he did find joy in the job even when the project were dragging out.
As the team sat downs for their break before practice he checked his phone again. It felt like he was going crazy.

No reply…

-everything alright?

-Tadashi? Please answer
Nothing, no reply, no nothing.
My lover💚 last active at 6:58am
‘Oh…’
Not even active was worsening his fear

-oh no I haven’t actually.. I sent him a message earlier but he hasn’t even opened it..
-his office is in the same building as me so Idm going to see if he’s in:)

She made her way down to Yachi floor. They worked in a massive office building. The top 2 floors were own by a designer company that Yachi had got an internship with.
Yamaguchi would 3 floors below at an electronics company. They had sponsored the Sendai Frog volleyball team. They work with they to create promotions, advertisements and drawing more attention to the team.
As a trio they grew close after high school. Being the 3 first years that kept in a short driving distance of each other they hung out regularly.
Arriving at Yamaguchis office floor she gave a wave to the receptionist, who knows her very well as it was common for her and yams to meet up for lunch regularly.
She walked through peaking over at yams desk. Empty. Her brows raised as her pace quicken.
She knocked light on Yamaguchi boss’s door. A family friend of her mum so she got a lot of leeway with being in their office.
“Hey Ren-san! Sorry to disturb you but have you seen Yamaguchi today?” She spoke with concern.
“Oh good morning Yachi. I actually haven’t unfortunately I was about to give him a ring. I’m slightly worried as I’ve heard nothing from him”
“Oh ok, would you be able to tell him to message me once he arrives please”
“Yeah I can do”
She made her way back through the office. Barely anyone was around. She took her chance and walked over to Yamaguchis desk
‘Maybe he came in early and his phones dead? This isn’t making any sense, this isn’t like him…’
She peered over his desk… nothing was touched for moved. No sign of him at all.. what is happening..
“YACHI!”
Snapping her back to present she looked up to see a frantic Ren darting towards her
“It’s about Tadashi.. somethings happened”

His heart was beating fast. He couldn’t stop his mind from spinning. It seems so small but when you grow up with someone and spend years of your life side by side with them you understand the way the act and message deeply.
“Tsukishima!” He heard a voice hell for him, snapping him out of his thoughts
“Iwaizumi? Is something the matter”
As his eyes focused of the other face. He couldn’t help but notice the look of terror. His eyes wide and panicked.
“I.. we have to go” he spoke as his voice trembled in panic
“Excuse me? Why?” He pushed himself up off the bench. He followed Iwaizumi through the gym and towards the exit.
“Iwaizumi, please where are we going in such a rush?”
“Look… there’s no easy way to explain this” he paused his moments. Taking a deep sigh before continuing “Yamaguchi boss just phoned the office. They tried getting ahold of him but got no answer until a phone call from the hospital came through..”
Tsukishimas whole body froze. Fear crawled under his skin.
“..Hospital?”
“..I’m sorry dude”
“What do you mean you’re sorry.. Iwaizumi out with it now!” His voice echoed through the hallway.
“He got into an accident… he’s currently in hospital unconscious. He’s alive but he’s badly injured”
The rest of his words blurred into one. He followed him with urgency. His mind was chasing.
The got into Iwaizumi car. His body began to tremble. His gut began twisting into knots. He felt sick.
The drive was quiet. An uncomfortable silence filled the car. A deep sense of dread flooded his senses. His eyes began to fill with water. His own thoughts felt as shape as daggers. Every ounce of blame hit him, guilt, sorrow, fear.
‘This is all my fault, if is just woken up on drive I could driven him to work.’
