It was noon when Parrot finally sat down to sort all of the letters he got. Ever since Parrot became the king he would get countless of letters asking for help or just wantin to prank Parrot. Usually the important ones always had this fancy handwriting which Parrot didnt understand..
Theo was already getting tired from sorting all of these letters. Theo didnt understant why they had to go through them especially since most of the time they didnt make sense like wdym someone is asking Pearitx2 to come to their towm. Theo sighed as he looked at Parrot so focused on those letters..how can he do that so easily??
Theo looked back over the letters when one caught his eye. It was a simple envelope but it was diffrent from the rest.. it had nothng from the outside and when Theo opened it all it had were cords and a simple handwiritng saying for him to come alone.
Theo was about to throw it when Parrot stoppeed him..
“Whats in it?“
Parrot asked mentioning to the envelope..
“Someone wants you to go these cords alone..“
Theo says taking out his flint and steel ready to burn it. But just then Parrot reached for the letter before Theo could burn it..
“I dont mind going to meet them.“ Parrot says and to be honest Parrot doesnt know why he said that.. it just felt right something was telling Parrot to go to these cords..
Theo looked ready to protest about going into these random cords alone but Parrot beat him to it
“I will set up a stasis if it calms you down.“
Parrot offers as Theo opened his mouth to say something but shut himself down.
“Fine but if you dont come back by the sun rise. I am pulling the statis“
Theo added still not sure about letting Parrot go just yet.
And Parrot himself wasnt sure himself but it felt right and Parrot trusted his instincts. So the next day Parrot cleared his schedule and set out for the journey..
Parrot kind of felt guilty.. while walking alone it gave time for Parrot to think about some stuff specificly about when Spoke came over with Jumper asking for help just few days ago. Parrot felt bad for not being able to help them that much but Parrot was already so busy with everything else. It was just 2 days ago Parrot finally managed to fix most of the stuff to go these cords.
Parrot heard something snap from behind him before everything went dark.
Parrot felt dizzy as he got up.. he slowly went to his senses as he slowly realised he was somewhere else completely. Parrot got up fast but fell down from the diziness. Parrot reached for his comunicator to text Theo but Parrot couldnt find it anywhere.
Parrot cursed himself as he sat down feeling weak.. Parrot calmed himself down as he slowly looked over the room. It was a simple room nothing special maybe except for the giant glass wall seperating him from the other side of the room.
And now thinking about it Parrot realised he had mining fetigue and weakness. Well that atleast explained why Parrot was feeling so dizzy.
Just then Parrot heard footstes coming closer..and closer
Parrot ready to face whoever was on the other side of the room didnt expect..
..
Wifies.
Parrot froze when he saw Wifies in all his glory standing there looking at him..
He looked diffrent he had an white cloak and glasses which Parrot doesnt ever remember him having.
“You must be Parrot. I heard a lot about you.“
Wifies spoke like as if he and Parrot never met before and that hurt Parrot which he would never admit. Parrot will never admit himself crying each night for Wifies and now that Parrot managed to somewhat move on HE comes back.
“You might be confused about what all this means. Well let me introduce myself. My name is Wifies the original Wifies.“
Everything started to ring that Parrot didnt continue to listen to Wifies any logner.
What. Parrot was lost and more confused. Parrot thought knowing Wifies was the director was painful enough but to learn that his Wifies was just a clone and the real Wifies was standing in front of him.
Parrot found that hard to believe but he couldnt dissmis that this person standing in front Parrot had the same eyes, body, voice, style same as Wifies.
“You are not Wifies“
Parrot spoke faster than thinking as this Wifies started to chuckle
“Oh I am. But I have to ask Parrot.. what makes you so special“ Wifies asked.
Parrot confused by the quesion asks
“What do you mean by that..“
Parrot scared what this Wifies will answer
“I mean what makes you so special for all my clones to be so obsessed with you. You broke my best clone. WHY YOU.“
Wifies yelled his tone changing all together as Parrot backed away until his bak hit the wall.
This Wifies was opposite of Wifies. Parrot felt like wanting to say something back but he was holding himself back his memories back at the paragon going so fast through his mind that Parrot fear of Wifies came back hard.
“Whats wrong Parrot out of words?“
Wifies teased before laughing like a maniac.
“Look. I dont have time to chit chat I have work todo but you are in my way so until i figure out why my clones are so obssesed with you. I wont be letting you go away so easily“
Wifies say coldy and straight forward.
“Food will come every morning. You wll get 3 pieces of bread exactly nothing more. I will check up you every now and then and dont bother trying to escape. We are further than the farlands so if you dont wanna get killed outside. I reccomend for you to listen.“
Wifies says last words before turning and walking the other side.
Parrot waited before Wifies was comepletly out of sight that Parrot let out a breath of relief.
Parrot didnt know how to feel or breath. Learning that his Wifies was just a mere copy and there might be more scared Parrot slightly.
He needed to escape and fast. There is no time for waiting and maybe Theo could still save Parrot if there was actual no way out.
Parrot just hoped Theo would pull the stasis as soon as possible..
But for now Parrot needed to find escape by himself. The room itsself was small. It only had one bed and that was it. The walls were made of obsidian and the wall infront of him was made of glass.
On the other side of the glass was an hallway a long one since Parrot couldnt even see where it ends and opposite of Parrot was the same room but just empty. Across of his room Parrot could see someone sitting there doing something but Parrot was too far to see it.
Each room had just enough of distance to not see each other except for the rooms across
Parrot would have mined through if he didnt have mining fetigue and the biggest oponent stopping Parrot from actualy escaping.
There was no way of escaping and Parrot knew that but didnt want to admit it so parrot spent his whole day trying to figure out how to get out of this room. But no matter how much Parrot looked there was no escape.
Parrot searched for hours until the ´original´ Wifies came back.
He just raised a brow when he saw Parrot glaring at him. He just slipped the bread towards Parrot and left just as he came.
Parrot ate the bread knowing Wifies wouldnt poison it if he needed Parrot that much.
Parrot just hoped that Theo would pull the stasis as soon as possiblle..
Theo was never goona pull the stasis and it hurt Parrot to realise that as the sun was setting down.. Parrot knew that thanks to the shadows slowly dissapearing
Parrot knew he should give up this easily and he wont. But he has ben stuck here for day but Parrot went longer. When he was trapped in the paragon Parrot waited months until he was able to escape. It didnt work as much but he got out and thats what mattred for Parrot.
So now giving up just yet. If Wifies thinks Parrot will break this easily then he hasnt seen it yet.
Parrot decided to take a small nap since there is nothing he can do when the Wifies came back again. He threw a small puzzle into Parrot cell
“Solve it“
Is all Wifies said. Parrot didnt protest as he started to examine this puzzle. It was an pyraminx crystal. It seemed so confusing but not too later Parrot solved it and showed it to Wifies.
Wifies didnt comment as he only took the crystal and left once again.
Parrot is starting to see an pattern here.
Days passed by a blur. Each day was Wifies coming to bring Parrot bread and a puzzle for him to solve. Each day the puzzles got harder and harder that some took more and more time but Wifies always waited until Parrot solved it to grab it and leave.
Parrot realised that Wifies was learning about Parrot with each puzzle to see how he thinks.
It wasnt first time Parrot was watched solving a puzzle. His Wifies did it a lot even when back then Parrot would never realise it.
But it was getting boring having to solve an puzzle everyday and then having nothing better to do.
Until the next day Wifies came a lot faster that usually he held a lever in his hand as he placed it and opened the door.
“Come out. I have something for you. Also dont try to escape it wont work“
Is all Wifies said before turning around and walking away. Parrot didnt waste time and followed him. He knew escaping wont work so he followed Wifies the long hallway until he opened the door for him into a room that seemed like an observation room.
The room was a mess of papers and all kinds of potions then there was a window that when looked out of could be seen a room made of bricks.. there was a furnace a chest and that was it..
But what caught Parrots eye was a person standing there..
“Thats Wifies number 1362 you will be solving the room with him.“
Wifies said before opening the room the lead to the escape room and pushed Parrot there.
Parrot sligthly stumbled before getting up. He made eye contact with Clonefies as Parrot decided to call him not wanting to say the numbers and all.
Clonefies was surprised at seeing Parrot and his face expression changed to something warm which was different from the face he was making just few seconds ago before he spotted Parrot..
Parrot didnt comment on it as he started examing the escape room wanting to get out of here as soon as possible.
He didnt want to admit it but he is feeling kind of uncomfortable being in a room with a clone of Wifies.
While Parrot was starting to try and solve the escape room the Clonefies watched Parrot the whole time mesmerised and started having this feeling of wanting to impress him..
But it annoyed him that Parrot wasnt paying attention to him.
The Clonefies walked to Parrot grabbing him by the shoulders and gripping him so hard.
“Parrot.. why arent you paying attention to me.. did I do something wrong..?“
The Clonefies asked all crazy. Parrot froze as the Clonefies started to get more nervous from Parrot not answering him
“ANSWER ME.“
Clonefies yelled as you could hear his breathing getting faster and faster. Griping Parrot as if his life depended on him
“Parrot please..“
Clonefies asked more calmer this time but his grip was harder than before..
If Parrot didnt guess that Clonefies was a robot he would think Wifies woud start breaking down in front of him..
Parrot opened his mouth to say something but he didnt know what to..
Just then the Clonefies exploded in front of him and Parrot let out an scream.. He was covered by something sticky being disquised as blood from what Parrot guessed.
Parrot wanted to cry as he felt himself slowly sink down on the floor. The blown up Clonefies being all around the room.
“Well that didnt go as expected..“
Wifies said walking inside to the escape room.
“I guess thats enough for today.“
He says as he helps Parrot get up and dragging him back to his cell as Parrot was still processing what just happened.
Parrot hit the ground hard from how Wifies threw him. He locked the door and left. As Parrot was left to sob..
He never expected for this to happen but everything here is reminding Parrot of back in the paragon.. and it isnt helping at seeing Clonfies get blown back..
Parrot might have not seen Wifies get blown up back at the paragon but it carried the same weight..
Parrot wanted to leave even more now than before. Parrot needed to escape NOW.
He waited days to weeks until Wifies came back again and told him to leave the cell.
Parrot was going to leave today and he isnt wasting the chance.
He knows some doors are locked if you dont have the pasword but there is a part of this building which doesnt have mining fetigue.
It was Wifies office. Wifies didnt know that Parrot knew about that room. Its located on the 2nd floor at the right.
Parrot just needed to be patient to make a run for it.
So he waited and waited.
For the perfect moment
Which was NOW.
Parrot as if his life depended on it which it did. Parrot got to the office room in record time. Parrot immediatly went to get rid of the previous mining fetigue.. gettin ready to broke the window when someone grabs him on his wings.
Which makes Parrot gasp in pain..
The Wifies was holding onto Parrots wing making sure it hurt.
“Where do you think you were going..?“
Wifies asked almost sinisterly like. Wfies starts dragging Parrot by his wing.
“I told you Parrot I will let you leave eventualy but all you need to do is follow my orders but that was hard for you wasnt it? You just needed to escape like back then. But let me infrom you. I am not you Wifies..“
Wifies said as he threw Parrot down on a long table and locking his hands and legs.
“I am something worse..“
Wifies said as he took out an netherite sword and without no warning cuts Parrots left wing off.
Parrot screams as he tries to hold onto the tears sliding down his face..
He couldnt breath.. he couldnt.. everything hurt so much..
Wifies wipes Parrots tears off of his face..
“This is a punishment for not listening to my orders.. you do it again and your other wing will go bye bye.“
Wifies said with a smile..
Everything was s blurry for Parrot as he heard Wifies move around taking out stuff as he start wiping Parrot just cut off wing.. there was so much blood on the floor.
Wifies sighed realising he has to now clean it up but he will leave it for other clones to do that as Wifies starts bandaging the left wing..
“Shh. Dont cry.. I am sorry. You did this to yourself“
Those words sounded so comforting but so cold..
Parrot was glasd he was still alive but this hurt more than being dead..
He cried knowing he wont ever feel the sky again. As Wifies just wiped Parrots tears off shushing him while patting his head.
“It is going to be all good now. Shh“
Wifies comforted Parrot. Parrot just sobbed as he tried to get away from his touch but it felt so comforting..
“Drink this. The pain will go away..“
Wifies tilted Parrots head back as he helped Parrot drink the potion.
Parrot didnt try to fight it off as he liquid poure into his mouth.
When he drank it all the pain was mostly gone but Parrot felt his right being heavier than his left.
Wifies held Parrot until he somewhat calmed down.
“Feeling better?“
Wifies asked as Parrot shook his head still feeling the missing weight of his left wing..
“Here to keep you off your mind.“
Wifies hands Parrot a rubix cube..
Parrot slowly starts solving it as his hands shook uncontrolably..
He shook his head not wanting to solve it any longer. But it seems like it was a wrong move as it seemed to anger Wifies
“SOLVE IT.“
All the comfort from before dissapeared..
“Do you want your second wing to be cut off?“
Wifies asks glaring at Parrot as he shakes his head..
“Good then fucking solve it.“
Wifies stared at Parrot with so much coldness it felt more freezing than being in an ice biome..
It took a while but soon after 30 minutes Parrot solved. Wifies grabbed it with force as he looked at the rubix cube.
“You have one color wrong.“
Wifies say pointing at the red part which had a white block in the centre. Wifies forces it back to Parrot to fix it.
It takes another 30 minutes for Parrot fix it. Having to go all back just for one mistake but soon Parrot finally manages to fix it as he gives it back to Wifies who nods before putting it back on the table.
Parrot feels so weak by the end of it that he might pass out soon and he probably will as his eyelids slowly start to closing by itself.
The last thing Parrot sees is Wifies writing something down on a paper..
The only thought by then is just why is Wifies doing all of this and why is he so different as everything slowly goes black...
