Chapter Text
The basement is my home now. I lay slumped up by the freezer door with flies in my eyes.
I turned 21 today. It'll be like this forever.
Plastic wrap falls softly like a veil and icicles form a crown on my head. The bruises act like makeup. My skin turns a faint shade of blue as the ice creeps over it. His Freezer Bride and till death do us part.
I feel parts of myself being torn from me. I feel teeth clamping over them and tearing them apart. I feel myself getting stuck in his teeth. He rips into me piece by piece until all thats left of me on the plate is the bones. He goes to back to the basement for more until I am all bones.
Sooner or later I’ll start to rot and I wont be any good anymore. The freezer, my coffin starts to get infested with flies. The following days he cant sleep. I am turning in his stomach and the memory of me keeps him awake at night.
I just wish that I could be good for him.
The police arrive the next week and take him away. He has been shaking violently the whole time. His manic laughing and crying echo through the halls of the police station where a polaroid of me hangs on a wall.
The freezer is my final resting place. Where I’ll always be remembered. On the milk cartons and in his basement. That’s where I am meant to be. Till death do us part.
