Nicholas sulked as he scrolls through his feed, seeing yet another man falling for his boyfriend on live television. This time, it was Kangmin of veriveri. He sighs, putting the phone down, before getting ready for his schedule today.
His mood was ruined, but it's not like he could do anything about it. He was happy for Euijoo, to get that mc job. The group was gaining a lot more recognition due to his boyfriend's efforts.
But of course, there was a catch too. Almost every week, someone would ask for Euijoo's number right after the broadcast.
Although Euijoo was extremely clueless to being flirted with by other men, Nicholas could barely hold his sanity in whenever Euijoo told him that someone asked for his number backstage.
He wishes, he could be at inkigayo too, sticking around with Euijoo so no man would approach him backstage. But as always, he had his own schedule on Sundays, so it wasn't possible.
Another week comes by, and Enhypen's Jay got announced as a special mc with Euijoo. The moment Nicholas read the news, something snapped within his brain.
If Jay can be an mc with Euijoo..could he not as well? That day, he went up to his manager after his schedule was over.
"Hyung, I wanted to ask something" Nicholas says, sitting down next to the guy.
Their manager looks up at him, with a nod.
"How does one become a special mc?" Nicholas asks, staring at his manager.
The manager gives him a look of surprise, before a chuckle escapes. "What"
"I saw Jay is the special mc for this week with Euijoo" Nicholas says. "Do they choose it themselves or, did Euijoo choose?"
His manager smiles before shaking his head. "It's usually up to the production team. They decide"
"Oh" Nicholas looks away, a bit disappointed with the answer. His manager eyes him suspiciously before nudging his arm.
"Why? Are you interested?"
Nicholas meets his eyes again. "I just thought-" he gives a nervous laugh. "It would be fun to do so..you know I haven't ever done"
"If you're really interested in doing then I could ask the production team to consider you the next time Shinyu-ssi has a schedule"
"Really hyung?" Nicholas's eyes lit up immediately. His manager gives a light hearted laugh in response.
"I would get your message through Nicholas, don't worry"
And since that day, Nicholas had been waiting for that opportunity. More weeks went by, the team got busier and Euijoo had to skip some weeks at inkigayo as well.
He thought maybe it's just an impossible thing, they're way too busy. He could never be lucky enough to share that stage with his boyfriend. Maybe he was fated to just sulk every week, and watch how the entire industry was down bad for his man.

-Few days ago
Nicholas walks out of the practice room, as he gets a call from his manager. Today was yet another tiring day for him after comeback rehearsals. He sighs before heading over to his manager's room.
His manager waves at him the moment he enters, asking him to sit down.
"I have really exciting news for you" his manager says, smiling ear to ear.
Nicholas looks at him, a bit confused. "What"
"Inkigayo producers want you to be special mc this week!"
Nicholas's eyes widen in surprise, before he slaps a hand to his mouth. "Really?!"
"Yeah they just asked me about your schedule, I told them I would get back to them after asking you. So you're up for it right?"
Nicholas nods furiously, unable to keep his excitement in. The day was finally here. When he could claim his man in front of everyone on live television. He jumps up from his place, skipping all the way back to the practice.
He had never been happier before.
The moment he enters the room, he immediately runs up to Euijoo, throwing his arms around him. "Juju, guess who's your mc partner this week?"
Euijoo looks at him in confusion. "Huh"
"Your boyfriend" Nicholas winks, before he drops his head against Euijoo's shoulder, who lets out a loud gasp in surprise.
"No way! Really?"
"Yes!" Nicholas shakes his boyfriend's shoulder before spinning him around playfully. "I am so freaking excited, I had been waiting for this day my entire life"
Euijoo stares at him lovingly, as he's spinned around by an over excited Nicholas. He grabs Nicholas by his arm, so he would stop. "Okay relax calm down first of all"
"Finally this time no one's asking for your number" Nicholas says, a smug look across his face. "Or else I know how to fight"
"Nico!" Euijoo slaps his arm playfully.
"I am just kidding" Nicholas says, sticking his tongue out at Euijoo. "Or maybe not"
Before Euijoo could slap him again, Nicholas skips to the other side of the room, to brag about his new mc gig to the other members.

"Nico, you keep laughing" Euijoo sighs, holding the script in his hand. It was a day before the inkigayo segment, and both of them were the only ones in the dance practice room, rehearsing the lines and also practicing the dances for tomorrow.
"This line is so stupid though" Nicholas chuckles. "Captain juju help me!?" He says, dramatically.
Euijoo rolls his eyes. "You can make fun of the lines later, I am already tired it's 12 am"
"I think the title suits you" Nicholas smirks, leaning closer to him. "Sounds sexy"
Euijoo blushes, shoving him away. "You're being a distraction again. How will we perform on stage tomorrow?"
"Don't forget your lines after seeing your hot boyfriend beside you" Nicholas says, in a teasing manner as he gets dangerously close to Euijoo, who sighed for the 100th time that day.
"I wont even be able to learn them in the first place if you keep laughing" Euijoo says, shoving him away.
"Okay promise, I won't laugh. Sexy captain juju" Nicholas says, with a serious expression.
But this time, Euijoo couldn't hold it in. He burst into laughter, hiding his face in the crook of Nicholas' neck.
"It should be illegal to mc with your boyfriend. Staying professional with your ass is impossible" Euijoo says, laughing as he lifts his head up from Nicholas's shoulder.
"Come on" Nicholas groans, pulling Euijoo towards him, wrapping his arms around his waist. "Tomorrow I finally get to claim you in front of everyone, don't ruin this for me"
"You're not doing anything which makes it obvious that we're a thing" Euijoo reminds.
"I just need to do that in front of..kangmin" Nicholas says, sulking.
Euijoo raises an eyebrow. "Kangmin?"
"He's on tomorrows lineup" Nicholas says, as he moves around, now back hugging Euijoo by placing his chin on the others shoulder, staring at both of them in the mirror in front. "I need him to know that you're not single and he cannot hit on you"
Euijoo rolls his eyes playfully. "He didn't do anything by the way"
"Oh god" Nicholas groans loudly. "You have no clue when someone is flirting with you. Instead you subtly flirt back"
"You're overthinking now. None of that happens, I am just being friendly" Euijoo says, laughing as his cheeks heat up with Nicholas placing light kisses on his neck.
"Don't even think about smiling at anyone tomorrow, just look at me" Nicholas says, his hands roaming around Euijoo's waist. "The rest I will handle"
Euijoo laughs, taking Nicholas's hands off from his waist to turn around to face him. He gently places his hands on his chin, thumb brushing over Nicholas's lips.
"Your bruise still isn't okay" Euijoo says, letting out a breath. "Does it hurt?"
"Kind of" Nicholas says, as he stares at Euijoo who was gently pressing his thumb over the light bruise on the corner of his lips.
"I shouldn't kiss you then, at this point it won't heal" Euijoo says, removing his hand slowly but Nicholas grabs his wrist immediately, pulling him closer.
"It doesn't matter. Please don't say that" Nicholas whines.
"I really don't know how to be gentle" Euijoo says. "It's better if I stop for a couple days"
Nicholas sulks more, pouting as Euijoo releases his wrist from Nicholas's hold, to face the mirror again. "Let's resume practice"
But Nicholas was sulking hard now, glaring at Euijoo as he steps back to lean against the studio's wall, crossing his arms as his eyebrows knit together.
Euijoo sighs, running a hand through his hair. "Nico, it's for your betterment"
"You hate me" Nicholas frowns.
"I don't?!" Euijoo says, in disbelief. "I just don't want your bruise to look even worse tomorrow at our schedule"
"The concept is pirates anyway!" Nicholas tries to reason as Euijoo walks up close to him again. "You just don't want to kiss me with my bruise. Be honest"
Euijoo stares at him in disbelief. "You're saying as if I didn't kiss you this morning"
"Then what's the problem now?"
"I told you I just don't want it to look worse tomorrow, it's your mc debut"
"Excuses" Nicholas rolls his eyes. "You just don't want to do it, because I clearly told you I don't have a problem"
Nicholas refuses to look at him, with crossed arms. Euijoo stares at him for a couple seconds, before he decides to just give in.
He steps closer until they're inches apart, and grabs Nicholas's chin to place a lingering kiss against his lips. Nicholas immediately shuts his eyes, letting himself melt into the kiss.
Euijoo moves his hands across Nicholas's neck as he angles his head sideways to kiss him harder, his lips automatically ending up on Nicholas's bruise.
Nicholas hisses when he feels slight pain at the touch, which makes Euijoo pull away instantly.
"I am sorry. It hurts right?" Euijoo asks, concerned. "This is why I wasn't-"
"Shut up" Nicholas pulls him in once again, ignoring the stinging pain at the corner of his lips as he once again connects their lips together. Euijoo, out of habit ends up sucking hard on Nicholas's lips.
Euijoo tries his best to be gentle, but once they started making out, there was no pulling away until both of them were out of breath, and Nicholas's bruise was in an even worse condition than before.
They pull away, minutes later as their foreheads rest against each others, catching their breaths. Euijoo slowly moves his hand up to hold Nicholas's cheek, before gently brushing his hand on the corner of his lip again.
"See I told you, it will get worse. It's redder than ever" Euijoo says, panting hard.
Nicholas smiles like the lovesick idiot he is, shaking his head. "It's okay, I don't care"
"Now can we practice?" Euijoo asks, staring at him with a grin. "Mr.special mc?"
Nicholas nods, laughing as he blushes hard. "Yes captain juju"

The big day was finally here. Nicholas was going to debut as a special mc, at his boyfriend's job. Since he arrived at the set location, he was a giggling mess.
Their staffs made them film a few challenges for TikTok, one of them being his favourite. He nudges Euijoo's shoulder after they were done with the challenge.
"You're the big guy? Captain juju?" Nicholas teases, raising his eyebrow.
"Be professional Nicholas-ssi" Euijoo says, in a serious tone, which makes Nicholas sulk once again. He sighs, before giving a little smile to his boyfriend. "I am joking of course, stop sulking"
They both are interrupted when the photographer arrives, asking them for photos. Nicholas smirks, before pulling Euijoo towards him to whisper in his ear.
"Do a cute pose with me" Nicholas demands. "Like that one time we did at the fan sign"
"You mean, me pointing towards your lips?" Euijoo asks.
Nicholas nods, smiling widely before he leans in to whisper again. "All those fucking men should know who you really like, and that they don't stand a chance"
Euijoo chuckles, patting his back gently. "As you wish Nico"
They do a few poses, and the staffs couldn't stop themselves from squealing, since their poses were extremely cute. Nicholas turns into a red blushing mess, as Euijoo leans closer to him for the photos.
Surprisingly, Kangmin was passing backstage too before his performance and his eyes fall on both Euijoo and Nicholas.
Nicholas smirks, before putting up a smug smile as Euijoo leaned even closer to him and posed for more photographs. He watches the way Kangmin froze in his place looking at the two.
He feels accomplished now. Good thing that man knows now who Euijoo belongs too. Kangmin after a few seconds of staring at them, walks away.
After that, they take more photos with their third mc-ing member, Yihyun. Even during waiting backstage, Nicholas sticked to Euijoo, holding onto his arm as if someone would steal him away (Which could be Kangmin to his fear). Yihyun eyes them suspiciously, before clearing her throat.
"Nicholas-ssi, thank you for coming! Euijoo-ssi looks the happiest today" Yihyun says, smiling.
Nicholas gives an even wider smile in return, throwing his arm completely over Euijoo. "We look good together right"
Euijoo rolls his eyes, sighing as he studies the surprised look on the poor girl's face.
"Yeah, definitely" Yihyun says, with a thumbs up.
Nicholas gives a smug smile back, leaning his head on Euijoo's shoulder as they rehearse their lines.
It was finally Kangmin's segment, the one Nicholas had been dreading. For some reason, he was extremely anxious for this moment.
Once they are on stage, Kangmin automatically stands beside Euijoo, since they had to cover his new song's dance. Yihyun observes Nicholas's expression as they step off the stage for a moment, while Euijoo had to cover the dance.
"You know you're not good at hiding your expressions" Yihyun comments. Nicholas who was watching his boyfriend with Kangmin through the screen, momentarily glances at Yihyun before looking back.
"Sorry it's hard to control" Nicholas says, as his eyes widen in surprise when he sees that Kangmin initiated a heart pose in the end.
But what surprises him even more is, Euijoo not completing the heart, which makes Yihyun burst into laughter.
"Did Euijoo-ssi actually not notice the heart or ignored him on purpose because of you?" She says laughing. "Whatever is the case, that was hilarious. Nicholas-ssi you won"
Nicholas puts a hand across his face in embarrassment as the girl continues to tease him all the way back to the final stage where they had to announce the winners.
And that was the first time in weeks, no guy approached Euijoo backstage for his number. For once, Nicholas's enemies would sulk today instead of him.

After the segment was over, Euijoo pulls Nicholas away from the staffs into a corner and gives him a tight hug.
"You did so good" Euijoo compliments, rubbing his hand across his back. "I am so proud"
Nicholas blushes hard as Euijoo showers him with compliments. Not only did he successfully scare away all the men from Euijoo, he was also getting praised by him. He shoves him away, extremely flustered since they were still in a public space.
"It's all because of you" Nicholas says, shyly. "Couldn't have done it without you"
"You deserve to be kissed by me again" Euijoo says, staring at Nicholas.
"Please do" Nicholas demands, shamelessly.
"We have to leave in like 10 minutes"
"So what?" Nicholas says, clinging onto his arm. "You said I did good, I deserve it"
Euijoo sighs, before a smile creeps across his lips. He looks around, there were way too many people there.
"I can't really do it here" Euijoo says, running a hand through his hair nervously.
Nicholas rolls his eyes, before grabbing his wrist and pulls him in the empty dressing room. Euijoo gasps, once Nicholas locks the door and pushes him against the door.
"Done with your excuses?" Nicholas says, tilting his head sideways.
Euijoo gulps, before a chuckle escapes him. "You don't want your bruise to heal do you?
Before Nicholas could complain more, Euijoo grabs both of his shoulders flipping their positions around to push Nicholas against the door instead, and then leans forward to kiss him hard, completely catching him off guard.
Nicholas's hand barely reach to grab Euijoo's waist, as he's completely trapped between the door and Euijoo.
Another painful hiss escapes Nicholas, when Euijoo sucks and bites hard on his lips, accidentally reaching the bruised area too. But this time, Euijoo doesn't pull away but only deepens the kiss, his hands reaching to grab Nicholas's neck.
Nicholas holds Euijoo's waist tightly, as he felt more pain across his mouth. His hands gripping tightly on Euijoo's belt as he shuts his eyes close tightly. He kisses back with more eagerness as he gasps against Euijoo's mouth who had planned to devour him in this tiny room today.
Nicholas firmly grabs onto Euijoo's waist again before flipping their positions around, which causes Euijoo to gasp loudly, as he stares back into Nicholas's eyes. Euijoo's eyes travel down to the bruise once again, which looked more swelled than before.
"Nico" Euijoo breathes. "You okay?"
Nicholas gives a slow nod, before he grabs both of Euijoo's hands, interlinking their fingers and then pins their hands against the wall before attaching his lips to Euijoo's.
Euijoo lets out a groan, as he shuts his eyes once Nicholas starts aggressively kissing him, despite the painful bruise. His lips start trailing down to Euijoo's jawline, before he leans back a bit and then places a soft kiss on his neck, which causes Euijoo to shudder and whimper, as he holds onto Nicholas's arm tightly.
Nicholas places a few more kisses across his neck, before he releases their hands and pulls away to smile at his boyfriend. Euijoo places his hand on Nicholas's cheek, leaning forward to place a peck.
"Mc Nicholas did a good job today" he praises him once again, gently running his thumb across his cheek.
Nicholas melts into his touch. "All thanks to my boyfriend, captain juju"
Euijoo giggles, before kissing him one more time and then grabs his hand to interlink their fingers, dragging him out of the room. "We're gonna get late"
Nicholas smiles, looking down at their hands as they walk out to find their manager. He just had the best fucking day of his life, and now everyone knew to not flirt around with mc byun euijoo anymore, cause he belonged to this crazy possessive guy.
