"Normal people don't just...fall from the sky like that."
"Says the guy that controls fire."
"Sorry...just...I saw a guy fall from the sky, and he's still in one piece. Though we should get him to Vera."
"Yeah...still, why did we come to Nerima anyways? It's crazy here."
"I know...but you know how it goes, look in all areas, you never know when the Avatar shows up."
"Yeah...White Lotus duty and all that...even though we're just new members."
"Quit complaining and help me pick up this guy."
Vera lifted water from the basin, letting it envelope her hand with her bending as the two who had brought the boy removed his shirt.
"You said he fell from the sky?"
"Something like that. He hit down HARD! Left a crater and everything...it's a miracle he's in one piece."
"Maybe not...I've not had much experience, but the Ki that can be harnessed can do extraordinary things, now let me heal him and see how his inner energies are holding up...OH MY!!!"
The old water bender master blinked at the now wet girl, the other two staring, before Vera let out a chuckle, "Looks like our new friend here has been to Jusenkyo."
"Jusenkyo?"
"One of the rare places in our world where magic manifests in ways that not even the spirits can explain...though I have heard theories about some water bender who tried to steal a spirits power and created the cursed springs by accident, but none the less, whatever the origins, this one got a curse that changes them to a girl when wet."
They both nodded and watched as Vera started to wave the water around the body, healing the bruises, and a looking at their inner energies.
"My...this ain't right."
"Vera?"
"Someone seems to have blocked the Chi Flow in their body...not enough to be threatening to their health, but it's cutting off their strength...no...cutting off their bending I think."
"WHAT!?!?"
"Yes...though I think I can undo it...bring me the vial of spirit water."
Nodding, they rushed over to the cabinet in the corner, pulling out a small vial and rushing it back over, "Here you are Vera."
"Thank you. Now stand back and keep quiet, I'm going to be really focused on this one."
Backing away, they watched as she popped the cork, and the water glowing a mystic blue flowed out of the container and into the palm of her hand, before she spread her hands and the small orb broke into droplets, hovering above specific points of the body. Taking a minute to ensure she had them where she wanted, she nodded, then keeping one hand out to maintain the water's placement, she waved her other hand to the tray of acupuncture needles, lifting them into the air, as the two watched, the fire bender letting out a low whisper, "It's rare to see her using her dual bending...this must be serious."
Their companion nodded, watching as the needles hovered above the water drops, then the drops touched the needle points, clinging to them, before they all slowly lowered into the skin. In the silence and tension, it was hard to tell how long they had been there, watching Vera work, but after what felt like ages, finally she removed the needles, putting them away, before standing, "It is done, their Chi paths are now fully restored. Quite an unusual child I must say, their Ki was quite strong...enough to even keep their Chi paths strong even if they were unused for so long. They shouldn't have to much trouble getting used to bending."
Nodding, they followed her out of the room, Vera pointing to them, "Stay here and keep an eye out, they might be a bit shocked by their displacement, and also the Chi flow might have some effects. Nothing bad, I would imagine feeling extra energetic, or clear minded to the point things might be a little over whelming for a bit, but they'll be fine as they readjust."
Nodding, they sat down and waited, letting the old bender leave to attend to other stuff, while they sat and waited...
Ranma yawned as she woke up, looking around. She was in a room...in a bed...both things kind of reminding her of Dr. Tofu's clinic...so some kind of medical place...which meant someone did something...oh yeah...Akane. Ukyo made some Okonomiyaki and had Konatsu deliver it since Soun ordered some, but she thought Ranma had since she had made a new dish, then malleted Ranma.
Letting out a sigh, she reached over and grabbed her shirt, heading to the window. Better get out of here before one of the fiancés come knocking the wall down of whoever brought her here.
Landing outside, she looked around. This was....OH! It was that bending place WAY out of town. Looks like Akane must've set a new record. Shrugging, she turned, locating the front that faced the road, and took a few steps, heading that way to head home-
"Meow."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The two benders burst into the room, finding the bed empty, the window open, and rushing over, saw their guest...on her rear, scrambling backwards away from the stray cat they've been seeing pop up in the last week.
"GET AWAY GET AWAY GET AWAY!!!!"
"Cat phobia?"
"Looks like it. Lets help before she starts bursting into fire or something."
Nodding, they both jumped out the window and start walking to the two, the red head pressed against a tree, while the cat kept walking towards her.
The fire bender reached down, hands out to pick up the cat, when the wind started to blow...and swirling around the red head, whose eyes were locked onto the cat...and glowing...
"I said...get... AWAY!!!"
FWA-BOOM!
Vera ran outside and around the building, finding the red headed girl on her side, unconscious...passed out by the looks of it, while in the middle of a small crater, the tree behind her uprooted, the grass and small weeds completely gone underneath and around her, and the two that were supposed to be waiting for her now imbedded in the side of the building...with a cat right between them...with the most terrified look she had ever seen on a feline.
"You two...what happened?"
An arm came out, pointed to the passed out girl, "Avatar...fraid of cats."
Vera blinked, turning to look at the girl, then the cat.
"The Avatar state?"
"Yes...from a cat."
"Oh geeze...this got crazy."
Ranma blinked...she was in the room again. Last time she just got out the window...and then...
She shot up, looking around the room, no cat!
Letting out a breath of relief, she pulled off the blanket. Heading to the window, she slid it open and peaked every direction. There were a few imprints in the wall...but no scratches...which was different. Shrugging, she jumped out again, and headed to the front-
"Leaving so soon?"
Ranma turned to find an older lady, smiling at her. Ranma turned to face her, "Hey...sorry if I went cat mode on anyone here...and thanks for putting up with me. I'll send you money to cover any, though it'll be in installments, and I should get going before anyone back in town finds out I'm here and comes to wreck the place looking for me."
"Why would they do that?"
"...you don't know who I am, do you?"
"No, I'm new here with two new recruits."
"Right...well just ask anyone who's been around a while about Ranma Saotome. They'll fill you in really quick on the chaos that follows me."
"So you say...though wouldn't you like to learn how to use your bending?"
"...what?"
"When you were brought to me, I found your Chi paths were oddly blocked in certain ways, cutting off your ability to bend, so I unblocked them, so now you're free to bend like you should've been able to a long time ago."
"..."
"Hello?"
"..."
"Ranma?"
"..."
"Anyone hom-"
"THAT FUCKING ASSHOLE!!!"
FWOOSH!!!!
BOOM!!!!
"POPS!!!!!"
The Tendou's all jerked around, looking at the newly destroyed property wall, where Ranma now stood, red haired...and literally smoking with anger.
"Where is he?"
Nabiki pointed up, "Check your room."
They watched as Ranma stomped past, and once she was out of sight, two people showed up at the hole in the wall, "Sorry to bug, but did you see a red haired girl by any chance?"
Nabiki held up a finger, "Wait for it..."
CRASH-SPLASH!!!
The form of Genma Saotome fell through the window from upstairs, before popping out as a panda with a bewildered expression, before Ranma landed on the ground...making the dirt itself ripple underneath her, before reaching out her hands and grabbing the panda, and yanking him out of the water, "YOU SEALED MY BENDING!!!!"
The Tendou's all spit and coughed out their food or drink, before staring wide eyed at the two Saotomes, the fuzzier of the two looking VERY freaked out, and was trying to squirm out of their child's death grip, while shaking his head furiously.
"Don't you dare try and deny it!!! I'm tempted to unleash a new fury upon you like you've never seen before...but like always you'd just run and hide like everything else you're responsible for!!!! Well, I first want to hear your explanation, and choose what you say, cause if you try to avoid the truth, I will know, and I will SMITE YOU where you stand! Are we clear?"
He nodded and rapidly, and Ranma gave a small nod back. Reaching out her hand, with a yank motion, the teapot inside tipped over as the hot tea inside of it flew out and onto Genma, who let out a small yelp of pain from the heat, before he refocused on Ranma, who retained her grip on his Gi, eye narrowed, while Genma's eyes were confused.
"Boy...how did you-"
"NO STALLING!!! Answer the question now!!"
"You...you showed signs of bending as a child!"
"...and?"
"Well...bending is just fake martial arts! There's no substitute to being a true man, and that would've just been a distraction-"
BOOM!
"...did Ranma just explode into a ball of fire?"
"...yup."
Dropping the charred man, Ranma turned to the hole in the wall, walking out it, then letting out a sigh, reached out her hand and lifted, the segment of the wall that had been knocked down...but had also remained in one piece, flipped back up and into place, seamless like it had been fine the whole time.
Ranma sat on the edge of the pond of the White Lotus training area, breathing, as she tried to relax herself, and clear out what had happened, when a familiar voice spoke, "Feeling better?"
"Kind of...still mad but still..."
Vera nodded as she spoke, "So I didn't get a chance to talk to you. Do you know what you are?"
"A bender...and it turns out that bending works well with martial arts...it was so natural...though I didn't do too much...most of it was angry instinct."
"Understandable...but Ranma, how many elements were you using?"
"Uhhh...Let's see...air when the cat thing happen now that I think about it...then a bit of earth and fire earlier...oh and a small bit of water...though it was tea."
"Ranma...you used all four elements."
"...so?"
"Most benders can only use one. Some rarer ones are born able to wield two, though typically with a better affinity for one over the other, however, there's a very particular bender, chosen every generation, that can wield all four! You Ranma, are the Avatar."
"...huh?"
"The Avatar. The chosen bender, able to bend all four elements, and the power of the Avatar State."
"...I have no idea what those words mean."
"For goodness sake...where you raised under a rock?"
"Well...I lived in a few rock caves for a few short periods of time here and there while I was on my training journey."
"...we got our work cut out for us apparently..."
Hearing footsteps, Ranma turned looked at the two benders who had been around, "So you're the ones who found me?"
"YUP! My friend and fire bender here is Karak."
Karak waved his hand over the slightly shorter girl, "And this here is Jade! Fire and Earth dual bender."
Ranma nodded as she looked over the two of them, "Alright...well thank you both for that."
"It was no trouble! We're glad we could help and finding the Avatar no less!"
"Right...that."
"...you sound disappointed."
"Kind of...your friend here said a few things and it sounds like it's apparently a bit deal...which mean it's more the implications of what will happen when everyone else finds out. Like my life wasn't already chaotic enough already."
Vera looked to her, "And why's that?"
"You haven't ask anyone yet...well LONG story short...my dad's an idiot, he got me into a number of messes, and now a combination of emotionally crazy people are trying to force me into marriage or just want me dead."
