Chapter Text
It was a perfectly average day, nothing out of the ordinary.
It was warm out, a little humid, and they were following behind Seven.
Not that he knew, of course.
This had long ago became Noli's routine (okay, not that long ago, but a month or two, at least).
They glanced around before taking out their phone, there weren't all that many people around and being on their phone helped to blend in, really. They took one deep breath and held it before opening the camera, glancing around once more, and aiming for the photo. They exhaled and clicked the button, and then they immediately jumped hard and fumbled to put their phone back in the hoodie pocket.
How fucking amateur were they?? Leaving their phone off silent, the shutter sound? Holy shit! They convinced themselves that Seven all but looked back at them (he didn't, not anything to indicate that he had,) and looked around and made the quickest exit as they could from the sidewalk, they turned on their heel and walked the opposite way.
Just a few minutes later Noli ducked into a cafe, a cafe that Seven just happened to frequent.
There was no way that Noli was only there because they knew Seven was there often, no way. Their coffee was also good okay. They'd had better coffee before, sure, but that wasn't somewhere where they can recall seeing Seven many times, and not somewhere where they could ever find an open seat that allowed them to be in a corner.
A corner was so important right then because they were looking at the photo they took of Seven, it wasn't the clearest thing ever, but it was Seven, and that was all what Noli cared about.
It was Seven. Their Seven. He may not know of their existence, but he was theirs and theirs alone, as far as they were concerned, at least.
They wished that they could've taken more photos, something with Seven's face, maybe. Dear Telamon, did they love his face, the little expressions he'd sometimes show. It was just to die for, if you asked them.
They really, really needed more ways to see Seven around, they had one singular class together, and Seven didn't show up half of the time (something that was totally agonizing, they sat just a few seats behind him and, while getting no work done, they were able to just gaze at him the entire lecture if he showed up).
Noli looked up and realized they were getting a nasty look from the barista, which, to be fair, they had just walked in and sat down, they should really be trying to befriend the barista, maybe get Seven's usual order, or any info on him..
Noli left the cafe after ordering a drink (and leaving a decent tip, they really wanted to be able to get more information on Seven if possible.. by any means, of course. So they needed to build a good connection) and walked back to their dorm, they had a class with Seven tomorrow, and that was not something they could risk missing.
