Who knows how long it has been, presumably years since the pinnacle of everything in their lives. Those were great times, back when they're young and full of energy while still transitioning to Pre-University.
There was strife, there was problem. Although, with the unparalleled motivation inside their joyous spirit. There was solution, there was something to look forward to.
They sung songs, shared emotions, created era defining hits. They graduated from Pre-University, to continue their lives either in Prestigious Universities overseas or in country. They exchanged feelings before seperating, truly remarkable experiences that define on who they are now.
As time ticks forward, the era of their younger years comes to a close. It was a good run but the only remaining thing to do is to join the workforce like the countless others before them.

The sky was choked with black smog while the grey urban infrastructure towered over them like shadow of a monster. The sky was truly nothing to reminiscene about anymore, both of them: Shinonome Akito & Shinonome Ena sat beside each other waiting in the bus stop.
Working an office job is truly not the future they were expecting. But as society and technology advanced, it gradually replaced the people who designed the world as a colourful, abstract, masterclass piece of art with the cold, calculating, efficient machines which turn the world dull and grey.
All that mattered in the future was maximizing efficiency for monetary gain where compassion, creativity and expression was viewed as a weakness. The painting on canvas of the world has long since been dulled by the high officials who control the corporate industry.
Shinonome Akito & Shinonome Ena was truly and fully exhausted from work, they both were compiling entire bookshelfs worth of files for hours on end while their superiors didn't even show up in their offices.
Truly the inequality from the social hiearchy was presenting itself bold and clear and they were at the rock bottom of the middle class where they work at thrice the effort and time while they receive only half the paycheck of their superiors.
That is true injustice.
Shinonome Ena took out a small writing book from her bag before beginning to scribble a couple words out in frustration, the book was then handed to Shinonome Akito before he also scribbled a couple words out in frustration.
This activity was one they did back when they were younger. Back in the good old times, they'd do this if they don't really know on what to talk about and then they would begin to fill a page full of ramblings, gibberish and crude sketches for the intent of comedic purposes.
Obviously, there wasn't any pin point of the exact time when they began to do these activities. But they did remember that they frequently do this during their Secondary years because they found it hilarious.
Now that they're older, doing such activities would definitely seem childish. Although, it was one way to distract themselves from this boring world a little longer.
The bus arrived and they boarded inside.

Shinonome Ena & Shinonome Akito was sitting beside each other, using the bluetooth earbuds connected to their phones in order to listen to their favorite songs while huddling with each other for warmth.
The sky began to precipitate, the view of the rain outside made for an excellent background. Shinonome Ena briefly turned off the music to whispered something into Shinonome Akito's ear before he responded by also whispering something into Shinonome Ena's ear, they turned on music after the brief interruption.
It almost felt as if the world stopped at that moment. They could hear each other's hearts beat in sync, as they slowly drifted to sleep feeling the warm embrace of each other.
Although, before both of them could race each other towards dream land first, the announcement that the bus arrived in the Suburbans quickly jolted them awake and both of them exited the bus.
Shinonome Ena quickly pulled out an umbrella to cover themselves from the rain, before heading the direction to their home. The walk itself didn't last long and they both quickly entered their house, locking the door and immediately heading to make dinner in the kitchen with the help of each other.

After finishing their meal. Shinonome Akito agreed to wash the dishes first while Shinonome Ena should go bathe first, so they did.
Shinonome Akito hummed to himself as he methodically washed each set of plates & cutlery, removing any stain before placing them back on the shelf.
After finishing the last set of cutlery, Shinonome Akito turned to see that the bathroom isn't occupied. So he took some clothing and washed himself before changing into a sweater.
Shinonome Akito entered the Bedroom where he sees Shinonome Ena waiting for him, he took the unoccupied side of the bed before they both began to snuggle and cuddle with each other under the blanket.
Shinonome Akito & Shinonome Ena still remembers when they both would fight for who would sleep on the bed and they would take great lengths to convince each other to take turns before unanimously voting to just share the bed with each other.
Eventually, both Shinonome Ena's & Shinonome Akito's energy began to drop and before they knew it, they were both drifting to sleep hugging each other's bodies before fully drifting as a testament to their relationship.
