"I know that I will love again," Sabine said to herself that fatal day when they broke up.
"I'll meet someone and we'll make amends,"
The car door was opened for her. "I'm sure he'll be a gentleman,"
She sighed, watching the night sky through the car's window. "And I will be content."
...
"And all that I will be fulfilled,"
"I do..."
"See the world and pay my bills,"
"May you kiss your bride, Mr. Fabron."
"Have a drink and eat my fill,"
Sabine watched everyone enjoy her wedding party from her seat.
"Of dinners and free will."
A kiss on the back of her hand. "Thank you, mon chérie."
...
"But if you come to me, in my home with my two kids,"
"Mom, the door!" Her son yelled. "Mom!"
"Going! I'm going, Christ…" Sabine picked up a crying, hazel-eyed girl, in hopes that she would calm down.
"If you asked me to leave,"
A pair of sweet, chocolate eyes were waiting outside the door.
"To be with you and split,"
"Sage?"
"May I come in?" The woman said, looking the same as ten years ago.
"…"
"Well I'd at least have to think about it."
...
"We never loved the same amount,"
"I see you got married."
"Yeah."
"To Chamber?"
A sigh.
"Yeah," she echoed.
"You spent a week at my mother's house,"
"I'll return to China next week."
... Oh.
"And honest I can tell you now,"
Sage turned to the toddler in Sabine's arms.
"And you, young lady," Sage smiled sweetly "What's your name?"
"Lingying," the girl answered before Sabine could even process Sage's words. "Lingying Callas."
"…"
"I love you more than my future spouse,"
...
"And if you come to me,"
Her kids went to sleep.
"When I've promised to commit,"
The dinning room was quiet. Vincent Fabron was not here.
"If you told me that you loved me,"
"Do you, still?" Sage murmured.
"And asked me for a kiss,"
Sabine's silence was enough.
"…"
"Well, I'd at least have to think about it."
...
"You are my Achilles' heel,"
Sabine will always regret what she didn't do when she was with Ling.
"The weakness only I can feel,"
From the window, she watched her leave.
"I've been a liar and you've been a pill,"
She didn't think the feelings would still be here.
"But I'd still have to think about it."
...
"Things…"
Male lips trailed her body.
"Just won't be the same,"
Sabine closed her eyes―
"I'm scared to death I'll scream your name,"
―Let out a soft gasp instead.
"And, oh, there's a lot I would change,"
She will always prefer her chocolate brown eyes.
"It's not okay,"
...
"'Cause I still think about it."
