Megumi, Yuji, and Nobara are all hanging out in Yuji’s room, just sitting, scrolling on their phones. Megumi sees something out of the corner of his eye and looks to see what it’s from. It’s a spider. He immediately springs up off the couch he was sitting on, and turns to look back at where he was sitting, his hands loosely forming the demon dog’s hand sign, not summoning them, but ready to at any instant.
“You good, Megs?” Yuji asks. Megumi doesn’t respond, his gaze doesn’t waver from the couch. Yuji, confused, glances over at Nobara who’s looking at Megumi quizzically.
“Where the fuck did it go,” Megumi mutters under his breath. Yuji gets even more confused at this. After a minute or two of this, Megumi takes a step back, still staring at the couch. “Nope. Nope- I’m getting out of here.” He says, promptly turning around and speedwalking out of Yuji’s dorm. The two left in the room just stare in silence.
“What’s got you in such a rush?” Gojo asks from the hallway, as Megumi passes him.
“Fuck you,” Megumi says blankly to Gojo, not even stopping to look at the man, while continuing down the hallway.
“…I’m gonna go after Megumi,” Yuji says after a few minutes of silence in his dorm.
“‘Kay,” Nobara responds, not even looking up from her phone. Yuji gets up and leaves his dorm, seeing Gojo in the hallway, he stops.
“What’s up with Megs? He just said fuck you to me and kept speedwalking down the hallway. He didn’t even stop to look at me.’ Gojo complains once he sees Yuji.
“I don’t know, I’m gonna try to figure that out though. But that is weird for him… He’s mean to you, yes, that’s normal, but he usually glares at you at the least rather than continuing walking…” Yuji says. He waves to Gojo as he continues walking down the hallway himself, eventually reaching the doors to outside the building, and walks out. He spots Megumi sitting on the stairs, and walks over to sit down next to him. “So, what happened? Why’d you get up so aggressively?” Yuji asks him.
“Dont wanna say.” Megumi responds blankly, looking away from Yuji.
“Why? I wanna know.” Yuji inquires.
“No. You’ll just make fun of me for it.”
“Why would I make fun of you?? Pleaseeee?” Megumi finally glances over at Yuji. After a minute or two, Megumi mumbles something. “Huh?”
“I saw…” Megumi mumbles again, a little louder this time, but Yuji can’t make out the whole thing.
“What?”
“I saw a spider!” Megumi says, looking away from Yuji again, seemingly embarrassed.
“…And it scared you..?” Yuji asks.
“Yeah.” Megumi doesn’t even have to look at Yuji to know he’s holding back a laugh, but he does anyway. Yuji lets out said laugh after Megumi looks at him. “See? I knew you’d laugh.”
“Sorry!” Yuji replies, not seeming empathetic in any way though, still laughing.
“I’m never going back in your room again by the way.”
“Noooo! I’m sorryyy.” Yuji stops laughing and sort of drapes his arms over Megumi.
“It’s not because of you, it’s because of the spider, idiot.” He looks over at Yuji and smiles at him.
“Ohhhh. I can kill it.” Yuji says, a smile back on his face. Megumi just nods. Yuji gives him a peck on the cheek before getting up and entering the dorm building again. Megumi is only left alone for a little while before Gojo comes out and sits down next to him.
“So, what happened, why’d you just say ‘fuck you’ to me and keep walking?” Gojo says, not even hiding his smug smile.
“Why do you think I’d tell you?” Megumi says, glaring at Gojo.
“Figured that’d be your answer. Whatever, keep your secrets.” He says, clearly not upset in the slightest. He gets up and walks back into the building. Another 5 minutes pass, and Yuji’s back.
“I Killed the spider, you can come back now, Megs.” Yuji says, walking back over to Megumi. He looks up at him, and stands up to follow him back into his dorm. They enter the building again and Megumi sees Gojo as he’s walking by, he’s making a heart with his hands at him. Megumi fake gags at it, making sure he sees. Yuji and Megumi sit back down in his dorm, and Megumi reluctantly tells Nobara why he speedwalked out of the dorm.
