Shane stared at this phone for a moment. It was too much of a coincidence for the Twitter handle and username not to be Ilya fucking with him.
Ilya answered after the second ring.
"Ilya," Shane started, but was cut off by obnoxious laughter, "Be serious, idiot!"
"Shane, you are too serious, no?" Ilya asked in response, "No one will know from that tweet it's me."
"Why didn't you tell me you were going to do that?" Shane asked, tone bordering on a whine, and Ilya could almost picture the pout, his boyfriend's pretty brown eyes, which would be crinkled from squinting at him in offence. "I nearly had a heart attack."
Ilya laughed again, but softer this time, "You're dramatic, solynshko."
"Are we doing this?" Shane asked after letting Ilya get his giggling out, "because we might as well go for it."
"Shane Hollander suggesting we menace the fuck out of the hockey world?" Ilya gasped, "What have you done with my Shane?"
"Game on."
