It has been a long two months since the battle. With the tsahìk Ronal, unfortunately, passing and going to Eywa. Everything is in shambles. Neytiri and Jake finally saw him. Which is good, but he still feels a little worried at the bottom of his heart. He ignores it, though. But he also wonders why his dad, Quaritch, would jump? It makes him mad, confused, and sad.
Everyone just seems so detached. Maybe he is, too? But to be honest, he couldn't care less about that monster and his ‘girlfriend.’ He’s just trying to help rebuild. He just needs a break from everything and everyone. Maybe he should just take a walk to clear his mind. So he tells Lo’ak to tell Neytiri and Jake that he will be out for a while and miss dinner.
He walks, just trying to clear his mind from everything that’s happening. Away from the chaos, away from the hurt, the pain. Just away. Before he realizes it has gotten late, and he’s pretty far out from the village. He doesn’t know if he should just go back now or wait out the night.
But something doesn’t feel right. He knows something is up, like someone, people watching him, something above him? He looks up and sees in the distance ikrans and a nightwraith. He is still realizing what it means. No, no, no, no. It can’t be. It’s Varang and her warriors! He thought they died in the battle. How are they even here?
Shit, shit, shit, shit. He needs to get out and fast before they see him. Well, they probably already did, but that’s besides the point. He decides to just hide under a tree, he covers his mouth to not make any noise, and tries to slow down his breathing and racing heart. He tries to take a deep breath to calm himself down. He hears rustling, so he looks up and sees one of the Mangkwan warriors right over him. His breath catches in his chest.
He doesn't know whether to scream and cry, or run, or just try to stay and fight. Before he can even make his first move, Varang is above him now. "What the fuck? H-how are you here?" He stutters over his words. Varang doesn't say anything; she just smiles. "A-are you going to answer me?" He tries to sound confident, which he fails at. He narrows his eyes, seeing Varang pull something out. "What is that?"
Varang still doesn't answer him. He feels himself getting drowsy, and before he knows it, everything goes black. The last thing he hears is sleep tight, pup.
