Work Text:

Borrowed Hours by Rose

It’s been a long time since the person closest to you has made a visit. With his job taking him away from Earth, it isn’t exactly easy for Caleb to come back home. He disappeared for a long time because of it and you even thought he was dead all because he was in the mindset that not telling you he was alive was easier. But now, he’s back and making more efforts to come and see you so you never have to doubt your relationship with him again.

Only, in that year he was gone, you’ve grown closer to someone else. He was there when your other half supposedly died. Being not only your coworker, but also your upstairs neighbor, Xavier was able to support you through everything. He remembers hearing your sobs upon you waking up in the morning because you saw Caleb in your dreams. He would take you out and help you find healthier ways to cope with the loss of him.

Then suddenly, you reunited with him.

He wasn’t the same Caleb you remember him as. A lot has happened during his disappearance and it changed him. He’s more possessive and protective than ever because he doesn’t want you to suffer the same fate as him. If it were up to him, he’d build a world where it's just the two of them.

He knows you have important people in your life though such as Xavier. He knows everything that Xavier’s done for you and how you feel about him. A part of him hurts, he feels like he lost you due to his decisions. He always wonders what you two could’ve been had he not left.

On the other hand, with the Farspace Fleet constantly taking him away from home, maybe having someone to fill in that void is better for you.

It’s a constant turmoil that plays in his mind no matter how hard he tries to stop it, especially at a time like right now as he’s standing in front of your door.

He wanted to surprise you by visiting a week early. He finished his mission early and doesn’t have to go back until tonight, giving him 12 hours with you. It’s not a lot of time, but more than he would usually have. It’s 10 now, meaning the kitty cafe downtown is a perfect first destination to start the day.

He knocks on your door nervously. Back then, he was never nervous about seeing you. He thrived off of your excitement. But, things are different now. He did things that he feels guilty of and nothing in the world could make up for what he’s done and he doesn’t understand how you forgave him. The most that he could do is to be better, to be the Caleb that you want him to be.

Only, it wasn’t you who answered the door.

In front of him was your upstairs neighbor.

Xavier.

The silvery-blonde haired hunter doesn’t want to believe what he sees. After comforting you for weeks, after comforting you through your nightmares, after taking you to visit his grave, he stands in front of him.

Xavier’s seen the cruel sides of this world so Caleb being here doesn’t give him the sense of seeing a ghost. He knows the figure who stands before him is real. If anything, it makes him furious.

“Uh, hi,” Caleb awkwardly chuckles. He knows Xavier, but Xavier doesn’t know that. “Is she here? I’m Caleb, I’m her-”

“I know who you are,” Xavier cuts him off. His eyes that are usually a bright blue are now dark and Caleb can feel the fury on him. “She’s not here.”

Caleb sighs. “If that’s the case then why are you here? Where did she go?”

“I’m here because that’s what partners do when they’re together,” Xavier pressed back.

Caleb felt the sting from his words. Partner.  “Where is she? I don’t have all day.”

He wishes that he had all day to wait for you to show up, but if that happens then he’d have to leave during your reunion. Then, it won’t be until next week when he can finally see you again. Caleb doesn’t want that, he wants to see you now.

He probably shouldn’t try so hard. Xavier just hinted at your relationship with him and he spent the night over, being in your life might just make things more difficult. Before his staged death, you two were inseparable. Even in college the two of you faked a relationship so that admirers could leave you two alone because all that you two wanted was each other. Nobody else in the world existed during those days. Caleb wants to go back to that. He can’t imagine a world without you in it.

But you had time to move on. You had time to process the fact that Caleb was not coming back. Caleb’s love for you never faded, and neither did your love for him. And now that he’s back, it messes with your head.

Because now, you’re also in love with Xavier.

Xavier was closed off at first but as he started to open up to you, the more you began to like him. He was the comfort you needed when your family died. He’s calm and patient on the outside, but extremely possessive on the inside. It’s out of his love for you and nothing else and you can see that.

Especially now, with his back tensed and gaze refusing to leave the man in front of him.

You never told him that Caleb was actually alive.

It was a lie by omission. There was no need to bring it up, but if asked then you would’ve told him. Caleb is still legally deceased, not even you should know that he is still here and so you kept his secret a little too well for your own good.

“Caleb, you’re here,” you say, appearing behind Xavier.

Xavier snaps out of his trance on the taller male and to you. At first, he thought that you didn’t know, but your calm tone tells him that you did. You look up at him and his sapphire eyes are full of hurt.

He helped you at your lowest times and now he can’t help but to think of deception. He trusts you, he knows your soul from another life so he knows you wouldn’t truly betray him, but he can’t help this feeling of being fooled.

“Pips,” Caleb attempts to cheer. The tension is eating at everyone now, you have to do something.

You open the door wider to let Caleb come inside before shutting it. Xavier can’t stop looking back and forth between you and the other man.

‘Why would she keep him a secret?’

“Okay, well, I guess it’s time to explain,” you say before he can get lost in his own thoughts.

Both men sit on the couch on opposite sides, staring at you. Caleb knows what you’re going to say because it’s the lie the both of you agreed to. His heart aches for your relationship with Xavier though. As much as he wants you, and only you, you deserve your own happiness and Xavier was that happiness when he was gone.

He can’t imagine Xavier leaving you over something this small. Yes, feelings were there, but everything was hands off. A relationship with you seemed impossible in Caleb’s eyes due to his past actions.

And so, for the next hour, you explain everything to Xavier. The explosion that Caleb and your Grandmother was in was real, and they were deceased. You truly thought they were dead. Then, you met him again. You promised to keep his secret because he would be left behind if people began noticing his existence. You never meant to hurt Xavier, but you did it so that you didn’t have to hurt Caleb.

It was now 11 and time for the Colonel was ticking.

11 hours left.

Xavier felt better after the two of you laid everything out on the table. He wasn’t happy, but he didn’t feel like his actions were all for nothing. His attempts at comforting you were completely valid.

Only, his anger towards Caleb rose.

He knows it wasn’t Caleb’s choice to join the Farspace Fleet, but he can’t help but to be angry at him for you. Xavier was also upset because he knew just how close the two of you were before his staged death. Whenever he was in town, he would drop you off at work. He’d hug and kiss your temple goodbye, and he could smell the food he was making from upstairs. The bond between you two ran further down than anybody was willing to admit.

“Xavier, I know we had plans today, but I hardly ever get to see Caleb because of these circumstances,” you finish, gaze going back and forth between the two men.

Your former crush, and your current partner.

It’s… not ideal.

“Why not let your boyfriend join us?” Caleb suggests. Your face turns red at the term he just used for Xavier. It was true, he was your boyfriend, but terminology isn’t used very often between the two of you. You’re just happy to be together. “This way, I can also get to know him. Don’t you think?”

“Caleb…” you trail off, whining.

“It’s okay, I don’t mind,” Xavier spoke up. His voice was still dripping with jealousy. “We are both very important people in your life, right? You shouldn’t have to choose between us. I’m sure we’ll get along just fine.”

Regardless of whether or not it’s a good decision, you agree. “Alright. Well then, I’ll go and finish getting ready. I’ll be back in 10,” you say before making your leave.

A part of you regrets letting the two of them alone, but the other part knows that it needs to happen.

It isn’t long before the conversation between the two of them starts. “You truly didn’t have a choice, right?” Xavier asks.

Caleb looks down at the ground. “Me not having a choice means that she does. You know the greater dangers that are after her. I’m not gonna play dumb and pretend I dunno who you are anymore. I kept an eye on her to make sure she’s safe while I was away. You made choices that go against her as well,” he replies.

The truth stings, but Caleb’s right. Xavier has had to act against you in the past in order to make things right in the bigger picture. He wants to be mad at Caleb, but can’t. The more he thinks, the more he understands. Not many words need to be exchanged between them because they both know that they’d do anything to protect you from the hands of Ever.

“You love her though, right?” Xavier brings himself to ask.

He knows the answer is yes, but he wants to hear it. He wants to hear how he’s about to lose your heart. Caleb’s been there your entire life, of course you’d choose him over someone you’ve known for a little over a year.

“I do. And so do you,” Caleb responds. “I know what you’re thinking, it’s written all over you. She loves you, and I won’t take her away from you.”

“She loves you too, though.”

The silence in the room is almost eerie. It’s a truth that they both know, but refuse to accept. You love both of them.

Caleb sighs, trying to think of a response. It’s something they both don’t know how to navigate.

But before they can talk about it, you reemerge.

You looked stunning. Your makeup was already finished when Caleb first showed up, but the outfit tied it together. It was your favorite dress that was light and flowy, and it showed off all your curves in the perfect way.

You already planned on wearing this for Xavier before Caleb showed up, but now that he’s here you can’t help but to be nervous. You hadn’t considered wearing something different and now you wish you had. You felt nervous under both of their gazes.

“Alright,” you begin, “we need to discuss plans for today.”

“What did you two already have planned?” Caleb asked.

You grab a film camera that’s on your coffee table and sit across from the boys. “Well, Xavier and I found this old film camera in his storage closet and some parts are broken so we plan to fix it and take photos,” you explain. Your plan with Xavier today was exactly why you had chosen this outfit. You know Xavier wants to take photos of you once the camera is fixed, so you wanted to look pretty for him.

“We can do it another day though,” Xavier offered, “like you two were saying, Caleb’s not here very often and he has 11 hours until he needs to return. I think the day should be in your hands.”

Caleb crosses the living room to look at the camera in your hands. “This is pretty neat, haven’t seen one of these in a very long time,” he says, examining the focus ring that refuses to budge. “You got film for it already?”

Xavier nods. “There’s only enough room for six photos.”

“All it needs is some lubricant, it just dried up due to its age and not being used,” he says before handing it back to you.

“You know how to fix it?” you ask.

“Well yeah. It’s kinda my thing to work on planes, real or model,” he teases you, ruffling your hair. “It may not be a plane but it’s still tech. Not that difficult to figure out.”

You straighten your hair back out, pouting at him for messing it up. Xavier shifts at the sight of the dynamic you two share. You’re so naturally close with him and he knows it’ll drive him crazy as the day progresses.

“Anyway,” Xavier interjects, “what did you have planned for today, Caleb?”

“Well, I figured we could start with breakfast, then I wanted to explore different places around Linkon since it’s been a while since I’ve been here. There’s a bunch of new places I haven’t seen yet. We can go to the store to fix this camera and then after that, maybe hit up some of the places I planned out and we take those photos for you two,” he suggests.

You nod at the idea before looking towards Xavier, who agrees to it as well.

And so, the three of you travel downtown to start your day.

It’s noon by the time Xavier’s camera is fixed and you enter the kitty cafe, two hours behind Caleb’s schedule but he doesn’t mind. He holds the film camera as he watches you and Xavier sit at a table with kitty cards on it, ready to be played. “It’s been forever since I got to play,” you comment as evol kitties start appearing.

“Last time we were here was when they were causing a metaflux fluctuation,” Xavier responds, gasping as one of the kitties jumps on his shoulder. “They’re… a lot more friendly now.”

You giggle as the kitties surround Xavier. “Friendly, or seeking revenge for capturing them to stop the fluctuations,” you tease.

Click!

You and Xavier freeze before turning towards Caleb. He lowers the camera from his eye and chuckles at the two of you. “Sorry, had to. Five photos left now,” he says before taking a seat.

Xavier blushes as he brushes the kitties off of him, placing them back in the cups on the game board. At the same time, your breakfast and milk tea arrives.

The three of you eat, but not in peace. Rather, in rivalry.

You took turns playing kitty cards. The first round was you and Xavier and the second was you and Caleb. Both of them won. You didn’t stand a chance against Caleb, he was too good at this game. How could someone be so good at a game of luck? Where you don’t know what cards you’re being dealt?

“This game isn’t fun with you,” you pout, crossing your arms.

Caleb chuckles. “Even as a kid you couldn’t beat me in this game. Some things truly never change.”

“Whatever. Now, you both go,” you dismiss, moving so that Xavier could take her seat in front of the board.

They both look at you before looking at each other. It’s as if they’re silently telling each other to go along with it for your sake, and you love it.

Xavier goes first, grabbing an assist card before playing a pink six. He watches as an evol kitty jumps into the pink cup, the number six glowing in front of it. With his 12 point lead, he has a chance even if nothing else is on the board yet.

And then…

Bye-bye!

Xavier watches in disbelief as Caleb plays the assist card that demolishes his kitty, bringing him back down to 0 points. Then, he plays his second assist card granting him to play two cards this round. He places a pink six of his own in the pink cup, then a green five in a green cup.

You can’t help but to laugh at Xavier's reaction to the 22 point lead Caleb’s in right now. How did he have such good luck at this game?! Xavier now understands your frustrations when it comes to competing against Caleb.

Game on.

They’re relentless against each other. Constant back and forth of assist cards and evol kitties jumping in and out of cups. You watch them battle it out and you love every moment of it. You look at the film camera, wanting to take a photo but you don’t. You only have five photos left and already have one in this building.

To make up for it, you take out your phone and take a picture.

Caleb pauses his reign of attacks on Xavier and they both look at you in disbelief, but you can’t help but to smile at the photo. You’re absolutely making that your wallpaper later.

While Xavier is distracted, Caleb finishes his turn which ends in him winning with an 18 point lead. The hunter looks back to see the game finished and the kitties jumping out of all the cups.

“You’re ruthless,” Xavier mumbles, crossing his arms.

Caleb chuckles, cleaning up the board. “Now you understand what I had to live with,” you tell Xavier before looking at the time.

It was already 1pm, meaning that you had nine hours left with Caleb. As much as you want to stay and enjoy your milk tea, you want to continue Caleb’s plan of taking him to all the places in Linkon that’s opened since he left. You were running short on time in that regard.

The three of you finish up and decide to walk through downtown. The sight was familiar for you and Xavier due to your jobs of protecting the city from wanderers but it was a whole new world to Caleb. He had only been gone for a year but Linkon was known for always changing. Not many of the surrounding cities survived the Chronorift Catastrophe 14 years ago and cities are still struggling today. It was common for people to move here to start anew and therefore, new places were always opening up.

Caleb pauses as he catches sight of a familiar store. “That’s right, I need to get a couple parts for one of my model planes. Mind if we make a pit stop?” he asks.

You giggle at the spark in his eyes before nodding. He loves building model planes. Growing up, the two of you would have competitions to see who could build a model quicker. Caleb always won though. He had the advantage of going to school and working on actual planes.

Xavier is infatuated by all the parts in the store. While he never worked on planes, he has worked on spaceships. It was a whole different concept, yet some parts remained familiar. Thankfully for him, the store also had spaceship models as well as models that were inspired by fictional aircrafts and mechas. Caleb approaches him while he’s inspecting a spaceship model. “I love the redesign of this ship,” he says.

Xavier nods. “The movie made more sense with the cabin moving horizontally while in another planet's orbit in order to diffuse the gravity,” he responds.

At that point, they realized they have at least one thing in common. They both love sci-fi.

The two of them went all around the store, showing each other their favorite models and using terminologies that you couldn’t even dream of understanding. The sight once again warmed your heart, seeing the two of them getting along.

The film camera was still in your hands, and this time you snapped a photo. The sight of both of them so lost in the conversation that they didn’t even see you take the photo made you happier than either of them could even realize.

The quick pit stop ended up taking longer and it was 2pm by the time Caleb purchased what he needed. You didn’t mind the hour and a half of listening to them talk though. While you didn’t understand a word, you were still in a state of bliss by seeing them get along.

The only downfall though, was now you had eight hours left.

“Should we go back to my apartment to drop off the parts?” you offer.

Caleb shrugs. “I’ll be fine carrying this. We’re pretty behind schedule as it is,” he replies. “We still have five photos that we need to take.”

“Four,” you correct him. You pick up the camera to go show him the photo you took, but then you remember that you need to process the film before showing him. “I took a photo of the two of you while you were nerding out.”

Xavier’s face turns pink while Caleb acts offended. “Don’t say that like you aren’t a total nerd over Western movies,” he teases.

Xavier grabs the camera from you. “You lost camera privileges.”

“Hey!” you exclaim, trying to reach to get it back. He holds it high in the air, almost out of your reach. When you’re about to grab it, it suddenly lifts higher into the air.

Behind you, Caleb was using his evol to keep it out of your reach. The two of them laugh as you pout, giving up on getting the camera back.

You continue walking through downtown and continue your shopping sprees. It wasn’t the intention, but it was nice doing this rather than following an itinerary. You purchased new skincare supplies, grabbed some new books, and even grabbed some yummy looking desserts for later tonight. You and Caleb walk side by side as the two of you can’t help but to begin indulging in some of the desserts.

“This is too sour,” you say before giving him the rest of it.

“If you didn’t want anything sour, why would you get lemon bars?” he chuckles before eating the remaining dessert.

“Sometimes lemon is tart,” you defend, grabbing a raspberry bar next.

Click!

Behind you, Xavier is lightly smiling at the photo he just took. The towering skyscrapers surround the two of you as you smile at each other in the midst of your playful banter.

He didn’t think he would enjoy his time today with Caleb. He started his morning angry at the violet-eyed man but now, even if their conversation was short, he sees how much Caleb truly loves you. He should be jealous, but almost feels like he has no right to be. The two of you have known each other for nearly all your lives. If it were any other man he’d think otherwise. But seeing you smile as you indulge in desserts with the other man makes him happy.

He remembers how distraught you were when you thought Caleb was dead. He remembers hearing you sob because you struggled brushing your hair one morning. Caleb had always done your hair growing up so doing it for the first time after the accident wasn’t easy. Xavier was the one who comforted you that morning, and every morning after. He understands just how important Caleb is in your life and as much as it may sting to see it, he can’t take away the bond the two of you share.

“Xavier, look!” you say, taking him out of his thoughts.

You point to a shop across the street. “A new hot pot place opened?” Xavier questions.

“We should go after work tomorrow, it’ll be so good!” you say, mouth watering at the thought.

“Why not go right now?” Caleb asks. You go to look at the time but Caleb brings your hand back down. “Don’t worry about the time. If we don’t get to do something today then we can do it next weekend.”

You turn to look over at Xavier, who’s still looking over all the signs in the windows. He’s been the only one to not indulge in his desserts and he hadn’t realized just how hungry he was until now. Knowing it’s his favorite food, you agree to go.

They cross the street and go into the restaurant. It smells like heaven inside for Xavier. You and Xavier hand Caleb the desserts, shopping bags and camera before sitting across from him at a booth. He tucks everything on his side of the booth before rolling up his sleeves. “It’s been a long time since I got to eat hot pot, this is gonna be great,” he says.

Xavier nods. “It’s been too long for me as well.”

“Xav, we got hot pot just a couple weeks ago,” you tease.

“That is way too long to go without it,” he argues back.

The food was so worth the stop. You and Xavier are convinced that this will be your new hang out spot with how flavorful everything was. Caleb was in love with it too, but still shocked at the insane amount of meat Xavier was consuming. You truly weren’t lying when you said it was his favorite food. He goes to grab the camera to take a photo of you and Xavier eating, but the person at the table next to you speaks up.

“Do you want me to take a photo for you?”

The three of you look at the woman who offered and you smile. “Can you?”

“Of course!” she exclaims. Caleb hands her the camera and it was obvious she’s worked with film cameras in the past with how she was adjusting it. All of you pose for her and she takes the photo.

“Thank you so much!” you tell her.

She passes the camera back to Caleb. “Any time,” she waves off before going back to her table.

“Sweet. Only two more photos left to go,” Caleb says, putting the camera back at his side.

“After this, there’s a park that has a lot of flowers that are blooming right now. We can go there to take our last two photos,” Xavier offers.

Both you and Caleb hum in agreement and you resume cooking more meat. The rest of dinner was spent teasing and stealing each other's food. Caleb was able to see the dynamic between you and Xavier from where he sat. Even if Xavier had a stoic look to him, Caleb could see the glimmer in his eyes at the sight of you.

It makes him appreciative of Xavier. Caleb wants you. He wants you so badly. But he wants you happy as well and he can tell that Xavier gives you the happiness that you deserve. As much as it hurts him, he cares about what you want more than anything else.

Another hour had passed by the time everybody finished up. It was now 4:30. You check your maps app to see that the park was a 30 minute walk, but it happened to be closer to your apartment compared to here.

You get up and stretch before taking some shopping bags to carry. When you get back outside, it’s already starting to get a bit chilly outside. The skyscrapers blocked a lot of sunlight from where you were. You hope that the breeze is just because of your outfit. Your outfit was short, revealing quite a bit of skin and you didn’t have anything to cover up with if it were to get too cold, and you don’t feel like buying a jacket in case you never get to wear it.

But as you start walking, your body temperature warms up and the 30 minutes it took to walk to the outskirts of downtown went by quicker than expected.

Xavier was right about the flowers blooming everywhere. Purples, pinks, yellows and whites litter the grass and bushes on every side of you. It was beautiful.

You find a hammock surrounded by the white flowers and you lay down on it. With the city around you gone, the sun was mostly out and was starting to set above a small lake that stretched for no more than a mile. The sun was so far west to where the clouds above you didn’t impact the stunning view.

As you lay down and get lost in the sunset, you think about your day today. You noticed the fury in Xavier’s gaze when he first answered the door. Of course he knew what Caleb looked like despite never seeing him up close before. You didn’t expect him to forgive either of you so quickly, you thought surely he would be upset.

But instead, the both of them made your day worthwhile. Xavier allowed Caleb to indulge in his plans of exploring Linkon City today and Caleb allowed Xavier to indulge in his old hobby of film photography. Your heart flutters at the thought of just how well today went. Nothing could make you happier in this moment.

Another camera click goes off before Xavier lays on the hammock with you. He pulls your back against his chest, spooning you. You’re jumpy at his actions. “Xav-”

“It’s okay, it’s just the two of us right now,” he says.

Regardless, you still sit up and scope the area. “Where did Caleb go?” you ask.

“He went to go do something, don’t worry,” Xavier responds, pulling you closer to him.

His pull causes you to be on top of him. You smile, wrapping your arms around him and melting into his arms. “Today was a lot of fun Xavier, thank you.”

He hums, looking down at your lips before reaching up to kiss you. You deepen the kiss and hum as one of his hands travels down to your thigh. His fingers gently rake at the skin there before he decides to get bolder. His fingers travel up your dress and toys with your panties.

You gasp and he takes the opportunity to let his tongue roam into your mouth. You moan, rocking into his fingers in hopes he would give you the friction you’re craving for. But before he can, you hear someone clearing their throat.

You jump up, looking over at Caleb. All three of you grow red in the face and you get out of the hammock. “I uh,” Caleb starts before awkwardly clearing his throat once more. “I went back to your apartment to put the things away and brought my car back here, so we won’t have to walk anymore.”

“Oh, thank you Caleb,” you say, cringing at your voice for being an octave higher than usual.

“There’s a storm rolling in pretty quickly, we’ll only have a few more minutes of sunlight left because of it,” he tells you before guiding you back to watch it.

He’d be lying if he said he didn’t feel any type of jealousy at all. He had just watched you grinding on someone else's hand, silently begging for another person's touch. He desperately wishes that it was him rather than Xavier even if he was chill with the guy.

It’s a bold move, but as he finds a comfortable spot for the three of you to sit together, he tugs you so that you’re leaning on his right arm. He can’t help himself, he needs your touch.

Xavier notices and sits on the other side of you, trying to control his jealousy. He was so close to getting a small taste of you, something he’s been wanting ever since you walked out in that dress this morning, and yet you were leaning against someone else.

And you?

You wanted to scream.

You had been trying to avoid this thought all day today, but now being between the two of them at such an intimate proximity, every alarm was going off in your head.

Of course you had imagined being with both of them throughout today. They went from rivals in kitty cards, to bonding over model space crafts, to teaming together to take the camera away from you. It was a silly thought so you decided to control it.

But now that your core is aching from just how close you were to receiving Xavier’s touch, being sandwiched between them is driving you crazy.

You’re grateful that Xavier is no longer touching your inner thighs for the fact alone that you know you’ve completely soaked through your panties. Your mind can’t help but to imagine what Caleb could’ve seen if he were to come back later on. If Xavier had touched you, had his fingers in you, or even had his cock in you.

Your mind was running rampant at all the possibilities between the two men who you love, and you know love you. You want to know what went through Caleb’s mind as he held you close after seeing you on top of Xavier. You want to know what went through Xavier’s mind as he watched Caleb pull you close.

But before you could squirm, you feel it.

You didn’t beat the rain.

The downpour was sudden and there was nothing to protect you from it. Immediately, the three of you were soaked.

You’re the first one to stand up. Your legs were slightly shaking from your thoughts, but you could breathe for a few seconds. Only a few though, as you realize that your outfit did nothing to cover you once it was wet. Your favorite light and flowy dress had betrayed you.

Caleb gets a quick glance at your matching maroon bra and panty set before looking back down, his hands clenching at his sides. You try your best to cover up but the fabric clinged to your body tightly, leaving nothing to the imagination.

Thankfully, nobody else is at the park and you’re able to make it to Caleb’s car before anyone can see you. Caleb shelters you as Xavier opens the passenger door for you and you get inside. Xavier takes the backseat while Caleb starts the car.

You being next to him right now is driving him insane. In the corner of his eye, he can see the way the fabric of your dress does little to hide you. You look stunning. If you weren’t so in your own head right now, you’d be able to see the faint tent of his pants.

Xavier noticed though. He noticed since he sat down beside you back at the park. It messed with his head.

“She loves you too, though.”

Those were his words from the beginning of today. He knows it’s a harsh truth that he needs to accept. He isn’t the only one in your life. Caleb’s self control is immaculate, even through that little stunt at the park. He knows the pilot wouldn’t cross any lines, he can tell he respects your relationship. But it doesn’t mean he isn’t affected and Xavier’s been a witness to the affect all day.

Before he could get too lost in thought, you already arrived back at your apartment. “I’ll go up and grab a towel,” Xavier offers.

Caleb had already thought about that and grabbed one earlier. He goes to tell him to not worry about it, but Xavier was already back with one and wrapping it around you.

You make it back to your apartment and sigh, starting to get cold. You look at the two in front of you and realize that the rain caused their clothes to cling to them as well. You look away, but they already caught you staring at them.

“I’m gonna go change. I’ll see if I have any clothes for you guys,” you rush before heading towards your room.

Before you can make it, Xavier grabs your wrist and turns you back around. “Stay here. Caleb, you go find her a change of clothes,” he instructs. His eyes darken as they rake up and down your body, causing your legs to grow weak once more. Caleb’s breath hitches before he leaves.

The hunter takes you over to the couch and you sit down. “Xavier?” you question as he unwraps you from the towel.

“Yes, Starlight?” he innocently asks as his hands trace your thighs, gently prying them apart.

You try your best to not give into his touch. “I should go to the bathroom and wait for Caleb to bring me clothes,” you say. You go to get up but Xavier presses you back into the couch.

“Don’t worry, he can bring you your clothes here,” he says. “But first, we should take this off and finish drying you up.”

His words send a shock through your entire body and you squeeze your thighs together. He motions for you to raise your arms. You do so, then he takes your dress off. You’re left in nothing but your bra and panties and your breathing starts to pick up.

“Xavier, what are you doing?” you ask.

“Trying to prevent you from getting a cold,” he responds, dragging one of the straps of your bra down.

Caleb returns to see Xavier kneeling in front of you and freezes. In his hands was one of your nightgowns with a fresh pair of panties. It was painful enough for him going through your personal drawer, seeing things that shouldn’t be for his eyes. Seeing you like this, your chest rising so rapidly. It was more painful than he could even imagine.

Xavier stops teasing at the little piece of fabric that’s keeping you covered and motions for Caleb to come over.

Even if you weren’t fully naked, you feel exposed. You feel so vulnerable in the best way possible as the two men you’re in love with stand over you.

It’s taking everything in Caleb to remain in his place. If he was being honest, he was nervous himself. He’s never done anything with you before and the thought of potentially being able to finally touch you is overwhelming. He wants nothing more than to kiss you, to show you how much you mean to him.

“Change her,” Xavier instructs Caleb.

Your heart begins racing as your eyes widen at Xavier’s words. You look back up at Caleb, finally noticing the lavender panties in his hands. He kneels in front of you and sets the pieces of fabric beside you. “Are you okay with this?” he asks you. You nod. “I need to hear you, Pips.”

“Yes. I’m okay with it,” you nervously say as you look back at Xavier.

Xavier was sitting on a chair not too far from the two of you, watching every move through hooded eyes. You could see how hard he was through his pants, still soaked from the rain causing everything to be revealed.

You weren’t sure what type of game he was playing at, but you didn’t have time to think about it as Caleb’s arms wrapped around you, fiddling with the clasp of your bra. He removes it and sets it on the ground before lifting your hips to take your panties off, leaving you fully exposed.

His hands were shaking as he tried his best to not stare. He grabs the fresh set of clothes and starts to dress you. You were shaking as well. The situation was simple, yet so intense.

He slips the fresh pair of panties back onto you while Xavier grabs the old pair. “Even without the rain, you would’ve needed a new pair anyway. What got you so worked up?” he asks.

It should be impossible to be the shade of red that you are right now and Caleb freezes right before he could slip the panties past your hips. You look up to Xavier. “From the park…” you half lie. While it was partially true, you weren’t absolutely soaked until Caleb let you lean on him. Until you thought of all the things Caleb could’ve seen you do with Xavier.

Xavier motions for Caleb to move to the side and he does so. “Well then, shouldn’t leave you waiting. Shall we continue where we left off?” he innocently asks, fingers playing with the panties that never fully made it back onto you.

Your body arches into his touch, silently begging for it. He lets out a dark chuckle as he drags the fabric back down and pries your legs open. You whimper, overwhelmed knowing that both of them are staring at you.

When Xavier’s fingers finally touch you, you melt into his touch but you can’t help but to look over at Caleb. His ears were flushed and he wanted nothing more than to put his own hands on you. Xavier’s fingers rub against your clit before entering you, causing you to moan as you stare at the pilot.

Caleb’s body was on fire at this point, the coldness from the rain was no longer there. His cock twitched at every sound that left your mouth. He couldn’t stay in his place anymore and finally reaches over to you.

His fingers lightly graze your chest as Xavier watches the two of you move. The pilot was still nervous as his touch went further down. His thumb rubs against your nipple at the same time Xavier’s two fingers curl inside you, causing you to buck your hips. “Fuck,” you whine, gripping Caleb’s shirt for support.

Your panting picks up as the two of them work their hands quicker on you, but it doesn’t last long until Xavier stops. He moves out of the way for Caleb to have his turn knelt in front of you.

Caleb stares at you, holding your legs open and you whimper once more. His gaze was intense as he took in the sight of you, dripping wet and begging for it.

As if he were in a trance, he leans in and allows his tongue to lick you. “F-fuck! Caleb!” you moan as you grip his hair and bucking into his mouth.

Caleb continues to eat you as if it were his last meal. His tongue swirls around your clit before entering you, lapping up every ounce of wetness you were producing.

“You’re taking him so well,” Xavier praises. His thumb caresses your jaw as he forces you to look up at him and Caleb feels you clench around his tongue.

Caleb growls before sucking harder against you. His teeth gently graze against your sensitive area and you feel the build up forming. You were about to come and Caleb could feel it. The more you twitched at his touch, the more painful his jeans were becoming. He wanted to take you, and take and take until you couldn’t handle it anymore. He unbuckles his them to lessen the restraint against his cock.

It doesn’t take much longer until you reach your limit. Your vision turns white and your legs wrap around Caleb’s head as you finally come.

You didn’t hear it, but Caleb did. The sharp shutter of the final photo being taken.

Xavier couldn’t help but to take the photo of you melted around Caleb. You looked divine right now and he wishes he didn’t have to wait so long for his turn. He wants to take you at the same time Caleb is, to feel you squeezing around the both of them, but he remains patient.

Caleb moans against you as he feels your release, causing you to shudder once more. He pulls back panting, gripping your thighs in attempts to release him from your hold. “You were such a good girl,” he pants. Despite your orgasm his words send a shock straight down, causing you to clench and whimper when there’s nothing to clench around.

“You did amazing, my Star,” Xavier whispers, pulling you into a kiss.

You wrap your arms around Xavier, pulling him deeper into the kiss while trying to pull him on top of you. You need more. You need to feel both of them inside you. He chuckles at your attempts before pulling away.

Caleb then takes his turn, not wasting any time as his lips clash against yours. Your lips are as soft and plump as he imagined. He’s been waiting for this moment for so long. He’s always wanted to claim every part of you for himself, to be in a world where it’s just the two of you and in this moment, it is.

His tongue traces at your bottom lip and you let him into your mouth. You can taste yourself on his tongue as he explores your mouth, not wanting to miss a single spot in case this is the last time he can do this.

Xavier decides his time was up and picks you up. He kisses you one last time before carrying you to your room. He tosses you onto the bed and takes his shirt off before crawling on top of you. “Who do you want first?”

You look back and forth between the two men, unsure of how to answer. You want both of them on you, you don’t want them to take turns. You squirm at the idea of Caleb taking you while Xavier abuses your throat with his cock, but before you say anything Caleb pushes Xavier away and climbs on top of you. “I want her now,” he growls, caressing your jaw forcing you to look up at him.

Xavier smirks. “Go ahead.” He moves behind you and rests your head on his lap. Caleb finally strips, freeing his cock from his pants and groaning at the feeling of release. When he comes back onto you, you wrap your legs around his waist and pull him closer.

“So needy,” he teases as his cock brushes against your entrance.

“Please Caleb, I need you,” you moan, moving your hips to gain friction once more.

Xavier’s eyebrows furrow at your pleas towards the other man, his jealousy fighting to reemerge. It’s the second time you have said the pilot's name and you have yet to say his.

He watches as Caleb starts pushing into you, as your legs shake around him while trying to adjust to his size. The stretch wasn’t painful but it was so much. Xavier’s fingers rake through your hair as he comforts you, whispering small praises to you while Caleb bottoms out.

You felt so full with him seated inside you. They both couldn’t take their eyes off of you while you had your face scrunched up, wiggling your hips to try and get Caleb to move but he couldn’t stop looking at you. You looked so devine. He’s been dreaming of seeing you like this. When the two of you lived together, it took everything in him to not knock on your door and invite himself in your room. Things such as using your body wash or doing your laundry were hardly enough.

And now, he has you. Now that he does, he plans to take his time to show his affection, to show how much he truly loves you.

His hips begin moving in deep, but soft thrusts. You whine and grip Xavier’s arm, nails digging into the skin as Caleb gently hits the back of you with every thrust. It’s as if he’s searching to see where you enjoy it the most, studying your facial expressions and how you squeeze around him as he changes angles.

Xavier adjusts himself so that he can lean down and kiss you. It was hot and messy and not a sight that Caleb wanted to see while he was finally making love to you. His thrusts get sharper and more intense and you nearly scream into Xavier’s mouth at the sudden change in pace. “C-Caleb!”

That’s three.

Xavier moves out from under you and starts kissing down your neck. He’s desperate to hear his name escape your lips as he sucks and bites at the skin. His tongue travels from your collarbone down to your bare chest and swirls at the sensitive skin, yet his name never escapes.

You’re in a state of bliss. Caleb’s harsh thrusts and Xavier’s tongue grazing at your torso is overwhelming in the best way, it’s leaving you a moaning mess. Every flick and surge lightened up all of your senses and you could feel another orgasm approaching.

Caleb feels you tighten around his cock and he lets out a moan, squeezing your hips with one hand as he tries to control his own release. “That’s it, squeeze around me. I want to feel you come,” he commands as his free hand wraps around your neck, teasing to choke you.

His words and actions were enough to send you to your second orgasm of the night. You cry out as you uncontrollably twitch around him. Xavier heightens your senses by moving his hand down to your clit, rubbing in circles as his mouth remains biting at the skin around your chest.

“Fuck,” you trail off, seeing stars as Xavier and Caleb move in sync on your body. You can’t come down from your orgasm because of the overstimulation, it only intensifies.

With one final twitch from you, Caleb can’t handle anymore and he comes inside of you, earning one final moan of his name from you as you feel him fill you up.

It enrages Xavier.

Xavier’s patience finally gives up. All day today, he had to see you with someone else that wasn’t him. Even if he accepted your relationship with Caleb, you were still his. To see you with someone else that wasn’t him, to hear you moan another person's name, to be full of the other person's come, he’s at a breaking point.

Once Caleb leaves you, Xavier doesn’t waste any time with stripping and roughly thrusting into you in one go.

That is what causes you to finally scream.

“Xavier! Fuck!”

He was relentless against the back of your pussy as his grip tightened around your thighs, locking you in so you couldn’t move away from him.

“That’s one,” he says. “You now owe me four more. I will make you say my name more than his.”

You tighten around him at his words. His eyes were nearly pitch black as he leans in, kissing and biting harder down your neck. It earns him another moan of his name. He hikes your legs up over his shoulder, causing him to hit your favorite spot with every thrust and it makes you want to come for a third time despite hardly having any time to come down from your second.

When his fingers find your clit once more, it’s the third breaking point for you and you come around him so hard that it squeezes some of Caleb’s come out of you. His pace doesn’t slow down though, it only speeds up to an unimaginable pace. He was so determined to prove the point that you were his.

Caleb comes back to you and caresses your hair, comforting you through it all. You make eye contact with him and that alone could make him come again without even being touched. You were absolutely wrecked because of the two of them. Saliva was dripping down your chin from the rough kisses Xavier had given you and tears were streaming down your face with how rough he was being, but you were exactly where you wanted to be.

Xavier moves your head and forces you to face him. “You owe me more. This isn’t over until you’re screaming my name, got that?” he tells you.

His voice was so soft yet his words were sinful. It leaves you a whimpering mess unable to answer.

His fingers wrap around your throat and he gently squeezes. “I asked you a question.”

His name barely leaves your lips as your airways are partially blocked off and you come again, unable to control it.

Four orgasms in and you were so tired, but the thrill of having both of them was what was keeping you going. You wanted every moment of today to count, including this.

But then, he pulls out and releases his grip from your throat.

You’re a panting mess as your legs make it back to the bed. You were uncontrollably shaking and barely able to move from the amount of strain on your body, but Xavier didn’t care.

He flips you so you are on your hands and knees in front of him, forcing you to stare at Caleb. Xavier leans over you and wraps his fingers around your throat once more before whispering in your ear, “look at him, and remember that you’re mine.”

He enters you in one single thrust and you scream his name once more while looking into Caleb’s eyes.

The sight of you makes Caleb regret holding back when it was his turn. He wanted to be rougher but decided that taking his time would be the best for you since you hadn’t been taken this way before. But seeing how much you can handle thanks to Xavier, it makes him want to keep ravaging you.

He runs his thumb over your lips before sticking it into your mouth. Your tongue swirls around his thumb as your eye contact remains and it’s enough to break him once more. He stands on his knees and uses his evol on you, causing you to float gently between the two men. He brings his cock up to your mouth and you take the opportunity now that your hands are free.

You play with him with both hands while sucking around his tip, trying your best to not deepthroat him as Xavier’s thrusts rock you forward. You’re completely immobile in this state, relying on the two men to keep you in place. “Look at that, so hungry for my cock,” Caleb growls, taking it upon himself to enter deeper into your mouth.

“Go on,” Xavier encourages, “you know you can take all of him in that pretty mouth of yours.”

You moan and it causes Caleb to moan as well, feeling the vibrations from your throat on him. He can’t wait anymore and he thrusts forward so that he’s fully seated into your mouth. You look beautiful wrapped around him as you cry with each thrust.

The two work in sync once more to truly and utterly wreck you and you know that Xavier won’t stop until he gets what he wants, even if Caleb is preventing you from doing so.

It doesn’t take long for Caleb to reach his second orgasm. He was already so sensitive and the feeling of his cock being down your throat is too much for him. You cry out as you feel his come shooting into your mouth and he finally pulls out.

You’re panting so heavily once you’re able to breathe and come drips down your chin. Caleb wipes it with his finger before shoving it into your mouth, forcing you to swallow every drop of him.

Once you do, Xavier pulls you back to him. He forces you to sit on top of him and ride him as Caleb watches. He thrusts up over and over and over again to the point where the only words leaving your lips was his name. Five, six, seven times. Giving him exactly what he wanted.

He groans as you melt around his cock, unable to stop saying his name. His arms wrap around you, holding you close to him as he moans your name and comes inside of you.

You feel so full with the majority of both of their releases in you, it makes you come one final time around Xavier.

The two of you are panting heavily as you come down from your highs. Once Xavier’s calmed down, he pulls out and Caleb helps you lay down. Once you’re on your back, you feel like you can’t move and want to succumb to sleep. “Don’t fall asleep yet, Pip-Squeak,” Caleb softly coos. “You need a bath, you’re all dirty.”

Your face turns red at his words and you try to hide into the blanket but he stops you. Xavier holds you in his arms as he carries you to the bath while Caleb changes your bedsheets.

The bathtub fills with bubbly water as you sit in it, wincing from how sore you were. Sure, Xavier could be rough but tonight, he went crazy. You look up at him as he grabs a cloth and puts your body wash on it. While aftercare was normal, he’s never bathed you before either. You always preferred to be alone while cleaning up but you were happy he was there.

He’s gentle while going over the bite marks on your chest but you still wince. “I’m sorry, Starlight,” he whispers as he tries to go lighter.

“It’s okay,” you hum, leaning into his touch. “Are you okay, though?”

“What do you mean?”

You sigh. “I mean, about Caleb. About today. You seem… jealous.”

He furrows his eyebrows, but then relaxes. “I am,” he admits. “But I also understand that he means a lot to you and that he was in your life before I was.”

You look up at him, almost in awe. “Xavier, it doesn’t matter if he was in my life first. You’re in my life now. Don’t tell me that you only agreed to it because of something so small.”

“He loves you as much as I do, but longer than I have. Before his death, I saw how he treated you. He loves you so much. While I may not enjoy sharing, I’m willing to make an exception for him. But only him though,” he explains as he finishes cleaning you up.

Your heart flutters at his words. You knew Caleb loved you, but hearing that is a whole different feeling. “Thank you, Xavier,” is all you can manage to say as the reality of having both of the people you love hits you.

Before you can think for much longer though, Caleb knocks on the door before entering with a fresh set of pajamas. “It’s 9:45, I have to leave in a few minutes,” he softly says, eyes darting between the two of you.

You hadn’t realized just how much time passed since. It was around 7 when you got back to your apartment. You rush out of the bath but Xavier gently presses you back down. “Don’t rush, you’ll fall.”

He helps you back up and you’re grateful that you listened to him. Your legs were like jelly as Xavier and Caleb helped you get dressed. It was only two pieces of clothes, panties and a nightgown. You didn’t need both of their help but you feel so warm and loved as they work together to fix you up for bed.

You leave the bathroom to follow Caleb to the front door. You feel like a baby deer trying to walk for the first time but you want to spend every second possible with Caleb. “Do you really have to go,” you whine.

He chuckles. “I’ll be back next weekend. I won’t be gone forever this time.”

Xavier grimaces at his joke, not finding it as funny at first but the way you smile at it makes him soften up. “You’ll have me in the meantime,” he speaks up.

You nod. “Fine then,” you give in, faking your annoyance.

Caleb then turns to Xavier. “Thank you for letting me borrow some of your time today. It was nice to properly meet you. You know, before the accident happened she would talk about you-”

“That’s enough,” you cut him off blushing. “It’s past 10 and you know how the Fleet is. They won’t appreciate your tardiness.”

Both men laugh at how flustered you are despite everything that happened tonight and it’s obvious they want to say more to each other, but you were right. Caleb had to leave. “I’ll text you guys, okay?”

You nod and hug him tightly before he finally leaves. A part of you is sad. You wish he didn’t have to live all the way in Skyhaven; you want him back in Linkon with you.

Xavier pulls you into his arms, helping your mind calm down as he takes you back into your room. The fresh bedsheets are warm as the two of you slide under the blankets. You bury yourself in Xavier’s side as he gently rubs and scratches your back, soothing you.

“You already miss him, don’t you?” he softly teases.

You nod. “We haven’t seen each other all that much since I discovered he’s actually alive. And… a lot happened when we reunited,” you vent, tears prickling at your eyes. “It wasn’t easy at first. I’m just… really happy that everything worked out.”

He hears the crack in your voice and pulls you up to kiss you. “Don’t cry my Star, it’s okay. We’ll talk about this another time, yeah?”

You nod, kissing him one last time before laying back down.

Despite not talking about it, your mind plays through everything that happened today. Xavier got to meet Caleb for the first time today and Caleb got to fix his camera so he could photograph his day. Then, they battled over a game of kitty cards where no matter how hard Xavier tried, Caleb always won. After that, they got to bond without your presence over spaceship models and sci-fi books and films. You got to take Xavier to a new restaurant which ended up having the best food you’ve had in such a long time. Lastly, you got to watch the sunset at the city park, surrounded by the two that you love in this world the most.

But, that was only five photos.

“Wait, Xavier, we only took five photos today,” you say, sitting back up.

“We took six,” he said. His ears turned a bright red, remembering that sixth photo he took of Caleb eating you out. He really doesn’t know what possessed him to take that photo, but you looked stunning as you came. It was worth the photo, but he’d most likely give it to Caleb instead. After all, it was his doing that caused the photo to turn out the way it did.

You look at him confused. “When did you-”

“Let’s get some sleep,” he cuts you off. “Or if you’re not tired we can do something else?”

You don’t question it for now, knowing if he doesn’t confess then at least Caleb will. Maybe.

You debate before climbing on top of him. “I’m not that tired. Just my body. We still have all those desserts in the fridge. Let’s grab them and watch something,” you suggest.

Despite your body being tired, Xavier’s wasn’t and you on top of him wasn’t helping. You feel the effect you have on him and blush before getting off.

He doesn’t let you get very far and he takes his turn climbing on top of you. He pulls you into a soft kiss as he nudges his knee between your legs. “Xavier,” you whine while giggling. “Haven’t you had enough today?”

“Nope,” he responds, kissing lower down your neck. “I had to share you today. But now, you’re only mine.”

You feel his hands travel down your body and just like that, all the soreness you felt earlier was gone.

“For the rest of the night, you belong to me.”
