Bruce exhales through his nose, heavy, patience running thin, "You are angry, and I understand that, but—"
"I am not angry, Bruce!" Jason exclaims, voice raw with emotion. "I feel angry! Because it's not fucking fair!"
Jason's chest heaves, his fingers curling into fists, the leather from his gloves creaking from how tight he's clenching his hands. He has to take several deep breaths to calm himself down, but still, a wet sheen covers his eyes, the lights rippling through the unshed tears.
"I'm not an angry person," he wets his lips, "I feel anger. I have emotions, Bruce, I am much more than just anger." His voice is rough, raw with emotion, "I'm not afraid to feel, Bruce."
"You, on the other hand, have let yourself become those things." Jason tries to meet Bruce's eyes, only to find the cold lenses of Batman's cowl, "You are anger, a vengeful and sorrowful anger, Batman."
"You are angry and mourning the son you've lost. While I grieve for a father who once let himself feel much more than being."
