Chapter Text

As the first term of college begins, Harua returns from his home country, Japan, and back to Taiwan with one goal: to stop running from his past.

Two years ago, a tragic accident shattered his world. It left him with scars no one can see and a PTSD he can't just "sleep off." So he did what anyone overwhelmed would do—he left home and went back to Japan, hoping distance would make everything easier.

Out of sight, out of mind... or at least, that was the plan.

Now, he's back.

Because apparently, healing isn't something you can run away from.

Harua planned everything carefully this time. Live alone. Keep things quiet. No complications, no attachments—just him, his studies, and whatever's left of his sanity.

Simple, right?

Yeah... no.

Because without his knowledge (and clearly without his consent), his brother decided to hire someone to "look after him"—a caretaker who would be living in his apartment for the entire school year.

Great. Amazing. Love that for him.

And then he meets him.

And just like that, everything falls apart.

It's Nicholas.

His ex-boyfriend.

The boy he loved... and the boy he lost.

But here's the catch—because of course there is.

Nicholas doesn't recognize him.

The accident didn't just leave physical scars—it took something else with it. Memories. Their memories. Every moment, every feeling, every "I love you" that once meant everything... gone.

For Harua, the past comes crashing back all at once.

For Nicholas, it's just another day. Just another stranger.

Now, they're stuck living under the same roof—two people tied together by a story only one of them remembers.

One is trying to hold on.

The other doesn't even know there's something to lose.

So what happens now?

Do they try to rebuild what was once theirs?

Or do they start over... like none of it ever happened?

Because sometimes, love doesn't just fade.

Sometimes—it gets forgotten.
