Chapter Text
Right from when he was born, everyone around him had thought Park Seonghwa would be an Alpha. His parents had received the congratulations of his birth with,
"Wow, he is so strong and agile. You've got an Alpha in your hands".
The typical stereotype for potential Alpha babies. As if other sub-gender babies are supposed to be born fragile and frail or something. Seonghwa had never minded the predictions about his sub-gender growing up. He didn't care being an Omega or a Beta because none of those are going to stop him from his goal - making the world a safer place for Omegas. The goal was probably in-built.
He started showing this 'heroic' trait from when he was 3 years old - memories Seonghwa himself cannot remember but was told to him by his parents as a tale whenever he got reported to them for standing up for kids who could not defend themselves. No matter where he was, Seonghwa would always report an injured person or any form of violence against a weaker person to his parents. He trusted them to take care of the victims and ensure their safety because they were doctors. He believed that doctors save lives and make the world better for everyone.
The first report had been a random vegetable seller he had spotted at the market when he went shopping with his Alpha mom. He had noticed, for the brief moment the woman's scarf had slipped from her neck that she spotted unusual dark blue bruises on her skin. He had grabbed his mom's hand, tugging her back towards the woman's stall. He had pointed to the woman's scarf, looking up at his mom saying,
"She is hurt... there...".
His mom had wanted to scold him to mind his business and stop pointing at random strangers, until she noticed the way the woman's lips quivered and her eyes shifting around suspiciously like she didn't want anyone to find out someone knew she was hurt. Seonghwa's mom simply slipped her ID to the woman, giving her a simple,
"Please, come for treatment" reassurance.
However, all the victims of domestic violence Seonghwa had unknowingly reported to his parents had only received treatment and gone back to their abusers. There was little that his parents could do besides persuading them to report to the Police. One thing Seonghwa's parents did notice was that all of those Seonghwa wanted to help were all coincidentally, Omegas.
By the age of 8, Seonghwa had started putting his karate after-school lessons to use. He was a loud and outspoken kid. Never afraid to report unfair treatments to a trusted adult or used his fists when he felt the Omega would be in greater danger by the time he finds someone to help.
The first person Seonghwa had fought was a neighboring kid who had presented as an Alpha a month before the incident. The kid was a freshman in high school, about 4-5 years older than Seonghwa. Presenting at that age together with puberty had never been a good sign. Seonghwa had spotted the older boy cornering a smaller boy near his playground. The Alpha had pushed the smaller boy on the ground, mocking him for presenting as an Omega and to get up and fight him.
Seonghwa watched for a while if the Omega was going to defend himself but the Omega stayed on the ground, cowering in fear and begging the Alpha to let him go. Seonghwa stood up from the swing and walked over to them. He tapped the Alpha on the shoulder and when he turned around to face who had tapped him, Seonghwa punched the Alpha right at his temple. The Alpha fainted and had a concussion. When he woke up, he didn't remember what had happened and neither had the Omega reported the incident too.
Incidents after incidents like that and Omegas wherever he went treated him like a hero while Alphas feared him. Seonghwa was stronger and taller than the Alphas who had presented which made the stereotypes started seeping in again,
"When he finally presents one day, he is definitely going to be an Alpha".
Everyone anticipated when Seonghwa would present. All his mates and kids younger than him had all presented. But Seonghwa presented very late. And when he did, he presented as an Omega at the age of 20. Right after his high school graduation.
His moms have been delighted, of course. He was their son. Meanwhile all the Alphas, his mates and those older than him that he had beaten up, were fuming. How dare Seonghwa, a mere Omega, whoop their asses?
Presenting as an Omega was not the only surprise Seonghwa had received on his 20th birthday.
Seonghwa's Alpha mom's great grandmother, that is, his great great grandmother was still alive then. Seonghwa didn't really like her. He always called her,
"an old hag who eats her children, grandchildren and their kids just to stay alive".
His great great grandmother was an Alpha who dabbled in witchcraft. Unless you go out of your way to seek her out, she had never intentionally used her spells on anyone or anything, except when it came to Seonghwa.
Seonghwa had learned from his parents that he was a descendant of a lineage of Alphas. Except his Alpha mom who broke the discrimination and mated an Omega, all her previous predecessors had all marry their fellow Alphas or a Beta. His Alpha mom often joked that it was probably because she mated an Omega that she gave birth to a son, also breaking the all women chain they've had so far.
The old hag had appeared in his Alpha mom's dreams that she should pay her a visit, bringing Seonghwa along. Ordinarily, his parents don't believe in the supernaturals. But it wasn't ordinary for the old hag to even be in your thoughts at all, not even in a blue moon. She was the 'out of sight is out of mind", kind of woman. So, her appearing in someone's dreams meant a lot and that made the family pack a little bag, making their way to the seaside village of Gongjin.
When they got to her cottage, the old hag didn't bother returning their unnecessary pleasantries. She had simply slid a white wooden box towards Seonghwa. He grabbed and opened it. Resting inside, on white velvet cushion, was a veil. It is a long piece of jewelry that drapes down over to the lower face when worn across the bridge of the nose. The veil has a series of long, beaded chains that create a shimmering fringe effect, accented with delicate small white flowers. Seonghwa ran his fingers over it and looked up at his parents for an explanation. They both shrugged and faced the old hag.
"I've only lived this long for this day. I prayed to the deities to make you an Omega, so you can become eligible for this gift. You've always been a great one, Seonghwa", his great great grandmother had said.
"You could have just passed it down your kids or grandkids till it got to me", Seonghwa had argued.
"It belongs to you. I had a vision of your face when I was making it. It must not fall into the wrong hands. No one can wear it except you, not even your parents," she had explained.
His moms simply squeezed each of his hands reassuringly. They didn't mind. They lowkey trusted her, no matter how twisted it sounded. They know she doesn't wield or do evil. There is also always a reason for every of her outrageous actions.
"What is this thing for, then?" Seonghwa had asked.
"When it is time, everything about it will come to you naturally", she had simply said.
Seonghwa fought the urge to roll his eyes at her. Of course, she was going to be mysterious about it.
"You should make your way back to the city as soon as the sun rises tomorrow. You will be surrounded by good people, boy. Your path of friendship is smooth. Love could however be challenging. When you reach a crossroad about love and you need guidance on making the right choice, count the beads like a rosary before you sleep and an answer will appear to you when you wake. Do not kill an innocent or your downfall will descend on you like a rain pour."
The old hag had laid down after delivering her ominous words. Seonghwa felt a sudden cold air breeze past them in the room. He didn't know he was crying until his parents were shaking him, asking him what's wrong in different phrases of words.
"She is gone", Seonghwa had said in between hiccups. The grief washed over him in a surprise. He is not close to the old woman, he hadn't even met her until that day. But the moment he perceived her death, he also sensed a certain connection getting severed.
"What do you mean? She is probably taking a nap or something. You know she is old", his Omega mom had explained.
His Alpha mom stood up from his side to check on the old woman's pulse.
"He is right, she is dead".
They had buried the old woman before evening. Other than the three of them, nobody else had showed up to her burial.
"You should have lived a good life, old woman." Seonghwa said as he dropped the white chrysanthemum on her grave.
Seonghwa had skipped college, much to the disappointment of his parents, who wanted him to also become doctors like them.
Instead, Seonghwa had created an anonymous website for Omegas only, where they can report violence or abuse by Alphas. The community had started small. Whenever he received a report, Seonghwa would investigate, gather enough evidence that the Alpha was indeed a terrible person, track the said Alpha down, beat him up along with a warning to be nicer to any Omega they encountered.
Seonghwa started realizing that beating the Alphas up and letting them go on their merry way wasn't effective. Most of the Alphas end up committing the same violence over again, making him receive re-occurring reports and some Omegas losing faith in the community he had created. Even when Seonghwa had delivered the notorious ones to Law Enforcement Agencies, the Alphas only received minimum sentences, a ridiculously low amount for fine or a little community service as a pat on the back and no justice for the Omegas.
At age 21, Seonghwa started using a gun. He stole it from one of the Alphas he had beaten up. The Alpha had brought it out of his safe, threatening to shoot Seonghwa with it. Seonghwa kicked it out of his hands, picked it up and slammed the butt of the gun to the back of the Alpha's head, rendering him unconscious. Seonghwa took all the bullets of the gun from the safe of the Alpha that he had forgotten to lock back.
Lo and behold, the community started increasing in size after that. Seonghwa lived by one principle,
"I know killing these Alphas does not equal to the amount of suffering the Omegas had gone through. However, a dead Alpha can no longer hurt any more Omegas. That to me, is also justice."
Of course, Seonghwa did not kill every Alpha reported. Only those the Omegas have specifically said that the Alpha being alive would do more harm than good to them. If not now, then in the future. For example, if the said Alpha had been sentenced, served his term and got released. Seonghwa had also fact checked those type of statements to avoid killing off an Alpha merely because their Omega husband or wife was being vengeful.
And that became the beginning of his double life. During the day, Seonghwa is a sweet, dutiful and caring son, neighbor, acquaintance, stranger, boyfriend, lover while he is an assassin at night.
Seonghwa had found out the use and power of the veil when he was 22. He had always had it in his pockets wherever he went. At that time, he had carried it around in case he had to count the beads for help and also because he had misunderstood what his great great grandmother had said about the usefulness of the veil.
It had been one of those nights Seonghwa had gathered enough evidence about an Alpha's abuse, together with his security details and was going to kill the man. He was done taking out the hit and about to leave when he heard the soft thud of a bag hitting the floor. He had turned around to see a middle-aged woman looking at him with horror on her face, shaky fingers moving to her lips as she let out a very loud scream. She was the Alpha family's cleaning lady who had forgotten her house keys after she finished her job for the day.
Seonghwa panicked and ran out of the Alpha's house. His mind was so distracted that he forgot to pass the route he had mapped out for his escape. By the time he was almost at the end of the block, the whole area was filled with sounds of police sirens. Seonghwa had walked further down a dark alley and spotted police officers stopping every young man around his age and size to verify their description.
The police was already on his ass.
"Hey! You with the black hoodie. Stop there", Seonghwa had heard from behind him.
He was absolutely fucked. He could not escape now. He was going to rot in jail and die while horrible Alphas continued to roam the Earth, committing all sort of horrific and vile things to innocent Omegas. Seonghwa's heart had pounded in fear, bile rising up his throat, anxiety curling his stomach. He reached for the veil in his pocket and hurriedly put it on, just as the officer's hand touched his shoulder and whipped Seonghwa around to face him.
"Drop the bag and keep your hands up". The officer said, pointing a gun to his face.
Seonghwa had dropped his bag, returning his hands behind his head, his whole body shaking as tears streamed down his face.
"I'm sorry ma'am." The officer had apologized, lowering his gun and taking his hand off Seonghwa's shoulder. "Have you seen a young man around your height and build?" The officer had asked, putting his gun back into the holster.
"What-" Seonghwa had began asking in confusion, but he noticed that his deep voice now sounded delicate and feminine.
Before the officer could repeat his question or notice anything suspicious, his radio released a static sound and he stepped around Seonghwa to receive the order being directed, leaving Seonghwa in the dark alley.
Heart pumping with relief and skin cooling down of adrenaline, Seonghwa picked his bag back from the floor and made his way into the street, walking back to where he had parked his car, veil still on his face.
Due to the rush to leave that premises immediately and with little residue of panic still flowing through his veins, Seonghwa had bumped into a couple of strangers and he had received different forms of remarks.
"Watch where you are going, little girl!"
"Ahjussi, are you lost?"
"This is my second time seeing a foreigner around this side of Seoul"
"Aigooo, which mother lost her little baby on the street?"
Seonghwa had looked around and noticed that the strangers were in fact, talking about him. He stopped in front of a closed vintage shop that probably sells old tapes, cassettes and vinyl. He stared at his reflection on the window pane, that had a curtain draped down to cover the inside of the shop. For a brief moment, he saw himself staring back at him, the veil shimmering and sparkling softly as the headlights of cars drove by and shone on it.
He snapped out of admiring the jewelry when a high school girl who was still in her uniform, probably on her way back from an academy, bumped into him, looked at him and said,
"It's rare to see kids my age enjoy old schools".
Seonghwa had watched in horror as his reflection morphed into a high school boy, in a similar uniform to the girl's. He glanced down to his body, patting himself down roughly and he actually felt smaller and shorter.
Three more comments and three more reflection and voice morphing after, Seonghwa figured out the power of the veil-
Physically to himself, he is still Seonghwa wearing a veil. However, people seemed to see him as whoever they wanted to see at that moment. And the only way he can tell which type of person they are staring at is if he looks at his reflection. He also noticed that when he spoke to a stranger first, his voice gave it away that he is a male. So, whatever appearance they attach to the voice, depends on who that stranger wanted to see.
"Fuck, this is so dope. I'm definitely getting away with a lot of shit with this", Seonghwa had said to himself mischievously.
Unfortunately for him, the veil did not work exactly the way he had thought it did. He was still missing a few details.
Seonghwa removed the veil as soon as he got home, pocketing it back. He made his way to his room, took a shower, wore fresh clothes and made his way back out for dinner.
"Where were you?", his Alpha mom asked him as he joined her in the kitchen.
As Seonghwa was about to reply her, he remembered the new discovery he made with the veil. He dropped the utensils in his hands on the dining table and rushed back to his room to fetch the veil. He put it on and went back to the kitchen.
He cleared his throat for his mom to look at him, not wanting to speak to her first. She looked at him with her usual bored and exhausted (after hours of endless shifts in the hospital) look.
"Are you going to keep standing there and staring at me or are you going to finish setting up the table?"
Seonghwa looked at her confused. He opened his mouth to ask how she knew it was him but his Omega mom came out of the bathroom before he could voice out.
"We have a visitor? Are you Seonghwa's friend?" she asked.
Seonghwa stared at her surprised. His Alpha mom looked between the both of them, rolling her eyes. She thought they were both pranking her again.
"How come you recognized me and Mother doesn't?" Seonghwa asked his Alpha mom.
"I don't think Seonghwa has introduced you to us before". Seonghwa's Omega mom looked at him suspiciously, fingers balling into fists, ready to defend the family in case things go South.
"Mother, it's me, Seonghwa". Seonghwa said, removing his veil.
His Omega mom released a very loud scream, the loudest he had ever heard her shout (and she is usually a very calm and composed woman).
"Never! Never in your life do that again to me, Seonghwa", his Omega mom scolded.
His Alpha mom turned off the stove and quickly moved to her side, rubbing her back in comforting circles as she used her other hand to pour her wife water to calm herself down.
Seonghwa clutched the veil in his hand, looking at his Mother worriedly. She sounded terrified. She looked so scared and Seonghwa felt bad.
"What happened?" His Alpha mom asked her wife when her breathing had evened.
"When I came out, I saw a girl around Seonghwa's age. She was talking to us, then her hand moved to her face and I literally saw her transforming into my son back. It was horrifying. The girl's face was changing into his, she got taller to his height, stretching in limbs too".
"I didn't even know he was wearing the veil until his hands started moving and he took it off", Seonghwa's Alpha mom commented.
A bulb lighted in Seonghwa's head. "I'm sorry for scaring you like that, Mother. But I think I figured it out. Mom recognized me and didn't see the veil on my face because I already showed my true form to her before putting on the veil. Mother, you saw someone else because you had not seen me yet before I put the veil on".
Seonghwa had felt a chill down his spine with that discovery. He sat down and explained the powers of the veil to his parents, skipping the killings and food forgotten.
From then onwards, taking down Alphas got way easier for Park Seonghwa.
Seonghwa had met San, Yunho and Jongho at the age of 25. San and Yunho are younger than him with a year while Jongho is younger by 2 years.
It had been one of those days Seonghwa was hacking into an Alpha that has just been reported on his website and to the Police for domestic violence. Every time Seonghwa was close to breaching the security, he kept getting blocked. He had tried again two more times and it yielded the same result.
Frustration clouded his judgement for a minute and Seonghwa mistakenly tracked the IP address of the person blocking him instead of that of the Alphas. He breached into the intruder's system and a live video from the laptop being used popped on his screen.
"Stop rushing me. I just managed to get in. I think the person blocking me has given up", one of the three boys that showed up on his screen had said.
"The ahjumma's husband is finally with the Police. This is our time to get the woman her money back before her useless Alpha husband gets released again".
"Hey, San. I thought you said you helped the ahjumma report the abuse on a website", the one working on the laptop said.
That had made Seonghwa sit upright from his chair, leaning closer to his monitor to get a better listen.
"To be honest San, I don't trust that website. What if the person running it is using it to take advantage of innocent Omegas?", one of the trio said.
The other one that was by deduction, San who spoke up finally and replied with,
"My mum told me about the website. I tried getting the link and logging in myself but it didn't work. Whoever built it is a genius. Only Omegas have access to it. I still don't get how they made that possible."
Seonghwa had smirked to himself a bit, taking pride in his work and also making a little note at the back of his mind that San is an Alpha.
"She said she heard about the website from one of the parents to the kids of her kindergarten class. The woman's husband used to beat her and one day, she got back home from picking up their oldest child from math academy and found the Alpha dead on their floor", San continued.
Seonghwa tried to remember which of the Alphas he is talking about but he drew blank. There had been too many cases of Alphas like that.
"My mum had collected the website link in case any other Omega moms like that needed help", San finished.
"That's fucked up. Does this person really have to kill those Alphas though? Why not report them and maybe just beat them up?", the other one that was not working on the system asked.
Seonghwa rolled his eyes at his stupidity.
"If reporting to the Police was enough, I wouldn't be hacking into this Alpha's bank account to get the ahjumma back her money that he always steals from her, Yunho", the one working on the system replied.
'The stupid one is Yunho', Seonghwa mentally noted.
Seonghwa concluded he had heard enough. He tracked the boys' address. He felt meeting with them would make getting information on the Alpha easier since they seem to know him personally. Unfortunately and for the first time since he had received the gift, Seonghwa forgot his veil at home.
He knocked on the door of the location beeping on his phone. Two minutes later, one of the boys he had watched on the system opened up. And of course, it had to be the stupid one.
"Hey there, pretty boy". Yunho had greeted, smirking and leaning his side against the door.
That greeting alone had been enough for Seonghwa to immediately reach for his face. He felt nothing but his skin. Normally, he would have panicked but there was something about the general vibe of the house and the pheromones softly surrounding him that made him felt safe, like he could trust these boys.
"Where is the hacker?" Seonghwa had asked, going straight to the point.
Yunho's composure faltered a bit, the question taking him off his guard and making him stammer.
"What-What are you talking about?"
Seonghwa's patience was running thin. He didn't have time for this. He pushed pass the tall boy and made his way inside. Yunho's fear made his pheromone spike up and Seonghwa noted that he was an Alpha.
"Great. Two Alphas out of the trio. Just my luck". Seonghwa pulled out his black, leather gloves from the side of his backpack, putting them on in case they acted funny and he had to take care of them. Not kill them, of course. Probably beat them up a little, which might or might not draw out blood.
Yunho closed the door and immediately followed in after the Omega, who kept ignoring the questions of his identity and what he wanted, asked by the Alpha.
Seonghwa got to an opened room and saw the remaining two inside, still bent forward looking at the laptop with concentration.
"Dude, what are you looking for? Leave before I call the cops" , Yunho threatened.
That made San and the other guy that was hacking, turn around on the bed to look at the entrance of the room.
"Yunho, who is this?" San asked, eyes sharpening at alert.
"DON'T CLOSE THE SYSTEM!" Seonghwa had yelled at the guy that was hacking, when he wanted to cover up what they had been up to.
The guy stopped mid-action, laptop halfway closed. From his strong pheromone, Seonghwa observed, he is also an Alpha. That made him vigilant, he is an Omega in the presence of three Alphas.
"Please finish what you are doing while I explain what I'm doing here", Seonghwa had pleaded.
When none of the Alphas moved, Seonghwa walked in further, dropped his bag on the floor and took a seat on one of the empty chairs in the room. The guy actually listened and continued the transfer of funds he was working on, San remained on the bed, arms folded across his chest protectively while Yunho remained at the entrance of the room.
"My name is Park Seonghwa. I'm an Omega. You probably can't smell my pheromones because I'm wearing a scent patch. I was the one that created the website Omegas can report abuse and I was the one that kept interrupting your hacking earlier."
All three Alphas' jaw dropped. And Seonghwa understood their reaction. He gave them a few minutes to take that information in before he had continued.
"I'm here because I need more information on the Alpha you are hacking right now. His wife reached out to me for help through the website and I want to set her free from that monster. So, how do you know the couple and how much do you know about the domestic violence?"
San and Yunho immediately started rushing out everything they know that could be of help. Their words are a little jumbled and overlapping but Seonghwa still listened attentively and took notes of the useful pieces. When they finished, Seonghwa thanked them and picked his bag up from the floor, ready to leave.
The guy hacking was already done and he quickly rushed out from the bed, stretching his hand in front of Seonghwa and introducing himself.
"Hi. I'm Jongho. Nice to meet you. Will you be my friend?"
The other two also moved fast towards him, trying to outstretch their arms over Jongho's, pushing each other slightly.
"Me too", San said.
"No, me first. I saw him before you two", Yunho huffed.
And just like that, Seonghwa made his first set of friends ever.
Few months after his 26th birthday, Seonghwa had met Wooyoung, Yeosang and Mingi. All of three, a year younger than him. Making them the same age as Yunho and San but year older than Jongho.
The community Seonghwa created had become medium scale. More Omegas from outside of Seoul had started reaching out, trusting him to protect them, their children, friends, colleagues, etc from abusive Alphas. Although Yunho, San and Jongho could not have access into the website, they helped in their own way.
Jongho helps him with hacking and getting information, taking that load off Seonghwa. San scouts out the area for a couple of days before the hit. While Yunho serves as Seonghwa's driver, bodyguard, pretend mate, whatever assistance was required at that moment and the other two are not available to provide.
As a driver, Yunho drives Seonghwa to wherever the hit will take place. As a bodyguard - there are some cases where Seonghwa had to physically attend events the Alphas are present in with his veil on, just to witness them slip up and commit workplace abuse. Jongho fakes an invitation for Seonghwa and Yunho attends the events with him as a bodyguard or a mate, depending on the requirement of the event.
Omegas who they have helped also started helping them back by showing their gratitude anonymously, through an untraceable link Jongho created and shared on the website. Most of them gave Seonghwa money; hundreds of thousands and sometimes millions of won. Others dropped off food, clothes (random sizes, unisex, for all ages above 20 because they don't know his gender or size), gift cards, coupons, shares, etc, at a public locker. The house the boys live in at the moment was also donated by one of the 'trophy wife' Omegas they had helped. Even the children send them toys, cute drawings and accessories.
At first, the boys had been scared in case the gifts were a trap. However, despite how far the website is reaching, the Omegas who have access to it have kept its operations in a hush, protecting the boys from unwanted attention.
Seonghwa always took it upon himself to receive the gifts personally too, relying on his veil for help, guidance and security. And of course, his gun. Seonghwa being willing to take the fall for the boys in case things went wrong increased the respect they had for him and his work.
So, that is how the boys formed their own pack and made Seonghwa the Pack Leader. The very first time an Omega became the equivalent to a 'Pack Alpha'.
More requests and call for helps started pouring in on the website, spreading across East Asia and Seonghwa alone was not enough to handle all those Alphas anymore but he didn't want any of his Alpha friends to join him in the assassinations. Not like he doesn't trust them, just that the Omegas they are helping are the ones that don't exactly trust other Alphas to take down their own kind for them and be on their side too.
However, hell broke loose when Seonghwa realized another Omega or some other Omegas were taking down Alphas on his behalf, through the reports from the website, without fact checking like Seonghwa had always did.
It all started when Omegas who made reports started deleting them, which Seonghwa had told them indicated that he had already carried out the hit. Jongho informed him of the irregularities in deleted reports and Seonghwa attested that he wasn't the one that carried out those hits.
One deleted report turned to two, three, ten. The friends got agitated. They thought someone, an Alpha or worse, the Law Enforcements were on their asses. Seonghwa and Jongho started doubling down their cybersecurity, tightening it and working on covering possible loopholes. Yunho swapped their regular car for a bulletproof, tinted van.
As for San, when Seonghwa's parents started getting suspicious of his activities, health and life in general, San had come up with the idea for the pack to start a furniture making shop. Not large enough to become a company but sustainable enough to cover for their injury excuses anytime they visited the hospital Seonghwa's parents worked at for treatment. The pack used the money donated to learn furniture making, got their licenses and bought the building across their house.
The building looks like a normal furniture shop on the outside but they also included an underground garage from their house to the shop. They make furniture and donate them to schools, orphanages, also Omega training and protection centers.
One day, the pack had gathered enough intel on an Alpha who only hired Omegas to work in his company just so he could use them for unpaid labor, threatening them with his pheromones and societal status whenever the Omegas demanded their pay. Seonghwa had geared up to take the hit on the Alpha while Yunho readied the car.
On getting to the club the Alpha frequented to spend the hard-earned money of his unpaid employees, Seonghwa had put on his veil and scent patch, stepped out of the car, leaving Yunho inside and made his way into the club through the alleyway leading to the backdoor.
Just as he was about to turn the corner towards the club, Seonghwa saw a little commotion. An Omega was straddling the Alpha Seonghwa had come to kill, stabbing his knife in the Alpha's throat multiple times. Not carelessly, but just to get the Alpha to die quickly instead of waiting for life to leave him slowly.
That wasn't all at the scene. There were also two other Omegas on each side of the Omega with the knife, pulling at his arms and trying to tell him it was enough because the Alpha was dead. Seonghwa attached the silencer to his gun and shot right beside the Alpha's head to make everyone stop their action. Before they turned around, he removed his veil and pocketed it, not to freak them out. He had already confirmed with Jongho through his earpiece that where they were was a blind spot. If anyone was making their way there, San was nearby to alert Seonghwa.
"That's enough", Seonghwa had said. Except the fear spiking the scent of the other two Omegas getting their friend off the dead Alpha, their pheromones altogether seemed comforting and safe. Just like when he had met San, Yunho and Jongho.
"If you are a cop, just arrest us and get over with it" One of the two Omegas said, dropping the killer's arm. He approached Seonghwa with a mocking smirk, stretching his arms out and holding his wrists together, indicating that Seonghwa should cuff him.
Seonghwa was still processing the ridiculous deduction of him being a cop when the other Omega dropped the killer's second arm, running towards him with full speed, jumping to a height almost twice Seonghwa's height, hand balled into a fist, raised up high and ready to land a punch.
Seonghwa ducked fast under the flying Omega's opened legs, swerving his feet opposite the first Omega that accused him of being a cop. As the flying Omega was landing, Seonghwa shoved him towards the one who accused of being a cop, who Seonghwa had spotted running towards him with his hands also balled into fists to land a punch. The said punch landed square on the flying Omega's stomach, while the flying Omega's fist missed his friend's face by just a hair. Both of them collapsed in a heap on the floor.
The killer finally stood up, walking towards Seonghwa and swinging his knife everywhere to try and make Seonghwa lose focus as he tries to follow the direction of the knife. Seonghwa did not fall for it and kept his eyes locked on the killer's. He aimed his gun and shot at the killer's hand, bullet grazing the edge of his palm and sending the knife flying on the floor.
Seonghwa had expected the three of them to gather around and attack him at once but all he got was an applaud from the killer.
"You must be the assassin running that website. Sorry for doubting you and trying to take your job from you. I'm Jung Wooyoung. Nice to finally meet you", the killer said.
"Apology not accepted. You caused me and my pack a shitload of work, cleaning you all's messes."
"Then allow us to join you and make up for it. I'm Song Mingi". The flying Omega said, getting up from his friend and massaging his bruised stomach. He turned towards Seonghwa with a smile and the assassin felt surprisingly at ease in their presence.
"Kang Yeosang", the last Omega said from where he is still lying on the floor.
"Park Seonghwa. My van is here, ready to take us away from here. But before we go, please look around and get rid of any incriminating things and DNA that can lead to you".
From that moment onward, the community became large scale - spreading to the rest of Asia, and allowing them to get NIS, DSI, SIA-level reports. Of course, the Police have been on their asses a number of times but they backed off just as fast. Witnesses refused to show up and the families of the Alphas asked the cops to drop the cases. The pack also spun the narrative to make sure the Omegas were not suspected for homicide or hiring a hitman. They also deleted implicating information from the Police database, leading them to dead ends.
