Work Text:

Robin had a hard time with math. Being dyscalculic isn't easy. The numbers seem to move and get jumbled around, you lose sense of time, you get math anxiety, and much more.

But that didn't seem to matter to his teachers because they gave him a math project he had to do. They said it was for extra credit, and several other students who were failing as well were doing it too. He needs that extra credit. Badly. So he just said okay.

They said his tutor, which was his boyfriend, could tutor him to help him with this project. He obviously agreed.

The two boys decided to work at Robins house. They walked there and immediately got greeted by Robin's high-spirited mom.

"¡Bienvenido, Finney! ¿Cómo estás? ¡Espero que te encuentres bien! Pasen, mis queridos; ¡pasen!" (Welcome, Finney! How are you? I hope you're doing well! Come in, my dears—come in!)

Robin translated, and they did what they were told. They immediately started studying. It was hard for Robin, but he got through it.

The day of the presentation, Finney could notice something was wrong. You see—when Robins nervous, he tends to bite/pick at his nails, or tug his hair. He's been doing all three.

"Rob, it's fine. You'll do great, trust me, i know it." Finney whispered in his ear when the person before him was ending. Robin nervously got up.

"U-um.. This is my project.." He did his presentation, getting more confident as he went on. When he finished, he was pretty proud of himself, because he got an A+. And he knew someone else was proud of him too, and that someone else was Finney, and it always will be.
