It was somewhere during the realm expedition, everyone were tired and breathless after running away from another bird-like entity
The group has managed to get into a safe zone, a brick house standing alone in the feild of sunflowers, that can sheild them away from the fury talons of the bird entity
While waiting for the entity to grow bored, some people begins investigating the house, it’s old and dusty like the one they saw in the foggy town during door 2, but atleast the somewhat uncanny sunshine in this realm makes it less creepy, although the eerie feeling still lingers in the air
Some people are rampant through the drawers and closet, looking for anything useable. Ash and H begins reheating some canned food and frozen Hasbrown that they keep finding in the realms for others to recharge their energy. In the dusty living room of the house, Bowie, Spike and Kandi can be seen talking with each other
C.C stands alone in the hallways, still occasionally peaking through the window and getting scared aback by a sudden smack of the bird entity’s beak on the glass, although it’s not hard enough to break the glass, it’s still very creepy to see it happens
“Hey…Hey…HEY!”
The shout of Grace, who’s also standing next to him because he refuses to sit on the old cushion in the living room
“Wisteria looking for you up stairs”
He tilts his head to the stairs, gesturing for C.C to hurry up
“O-Oh! Gotcha buddy!”
He happily exclaimed, throughout their adventure, he and Wisteria has grown incredibly close, always at each other’s back against the entities and protecting teammates and always at each other’s head when solving countless puzzles, it always gives him a fuzzy, warm feeling around him…he doesn’t know what that means but…it’s a great feeling which he isn’t ready to let go
Upstairs, Wisteria was in another bedroom, seems to be made for a very busy guy, with a large queen size bed, a closet he assumed have been raided by Dot or Jonalline, and over the window, where feathers fall outside, Wisteria stood by a working desk, a hand on his chin while the other rest on his hip, studying a note deeply on the table
“Ahem..” he made a small cough to inform the other of his arrival
“O-Oh! C.C you’re here! Come come, Dot found another note, and I suppose we can figure it out together!”
“Great, whatcha got there? Binary code? Crow code?”
“I supposed by the hand writing and how the words are positioned, this might be Caesar code!”
They keep on discussing the topic, changing it from the puzzle, to the memories they’ve made and the memories they’ve gained back, the people they’ve seen and the horror they’re encountered
With C.C sometimes cracking in jokes and Wisteria’s laughs as clear and echoing as wind chimes in a summer wind
C.C feels like the world around him numbs away, only leaving him with muffled rambling sounds and the shape of Wisteria, with the flower field and the eerie yet somewhat beautiful sunshine in this weird realm…Gosh how can someone be this beautiful?
“C.C? C.C! Are you okay? You’re dozing away! Are you sick?”
Wisteria worried voice finally breaks him out of his daydreaming
C.C slap the side of his face hard, which worried Wisteria even more
“C.C!!? Are you okay?!”
“I-I’m fine! Just…distracted…”
He rubs his cheek, which has turn slightly pink from the slap
“Man- you’re scaring me…”
“Yeah…sorry…”
The room feel silence, not a tense silence between two strangers, it’s more of a comfortable shared moment that only belongs to them
“C.C…?”
“Yes?”
“After this…expedition ends, what do you plan for your future?”
“I-“ The question caught him off guard, honestly he has no idea either…what will be ever done after they finish this job of theirs? Will they remember or forget eachother like strangers and cross past eachother like broken glasses?
“I don’tknow…yet “
“Well…” Wisteria said, gazing to the flower feild, the bird entity have left, leaving behind a beautiful sunflower field where the wind blows making them dangle in the sun
“I want to keep exploring the world…learning all kinds of stuff…tasting all kind of food…documenting evergreen corner of my adventure…”
C.C looks up at the taller man, who’s face being decorated by the light, bouncing off his hair like tiny fairies painting them gold
“I-…I wanted to be with you…”
“What?”
Realizing what he just said, C.C’s face turns red, burning from the sensation
“N-Nothing! Forget about it! It was- an accident yeah yeah-“
“Oh come on C.C! I won’t judge! Just tell me!”
After like, 5 minutes if pestering eachother, C.C finally gathers enough courage to face with his feelings, his heart and the culprit that makes him acts all like this
“I-I want to be with you…”
Wisteria face turns into an surprised expression, yet, C.C ignored it and continue
“I want to be with you…follow you wherever you go…do whatever you want to do…face death, life, sadness, happiness with you…I wanted to see you happy and see the beauty of the world reflects in your eyes…”
C.C closed his eyes, his entire body heated up and he feels like Wisteria’s stares is piercing through his skin
Suddenly…The other man laughs, not mockery, not pity, a genuine laugh of happiness
“G-Gosh! Haha! Really?”
“I-I…Yes! Yes! I can be with you and I will protect you! A-as a friend..”
“F-friend? That sounds like a confession!”
C.C feels like he can melts at that word from Wisteria, if it was anyone else he would’ve shot them but now he wish he can blow his head clear off!
“W-wisteria! Are you joking with me??!!”
“!! N-no! I-I mean..:I guess I also have feelings for you! The day you were hurt protecting me at door 3…I-I’ve always feel like…I have something for you…I’m just scared…”
“Me too…”
“Guess we’re both bad at this”
They two both cracked a laugh, which quickly died down
“So is that a Yes?” C.C said, confidently
“Hmm…Maybe…I’ll make up my mind after this puzzle-“
C.C smirks, it’s something he loves so much about his man, it’s his mind and intelligent…
Sunflower seems to bloom for colourful outside ghe brick house….
