It’s too late- you’ve been caught.
You’re trying to maintain hope, because it’s the only thing driving you forward.
That, and also because you’re secretly terrified of your enemy that stands before you now.
You use that term loosely, even still. Kylo Ren is much more than what some would say is a ‘nemesis’ or an ‘enemy’ of any sort.
“I know you feel it, too.” He begins, padding across the dim room to stand just in front of you.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You snarl. You give a sharp jolt to the table you’re tied to, but it amounts to nothing.
The restraints are a heavy metal, and the Force between you both is suppressing you down too much.
“Of course, you do.” Kylo insists with a shrug. “You’ve had the feeling same as I have.”
You don’t answer, you only trying bucking away as his gloved fingertips trace away the strands of your hair that have fallen loose near your temple.
“Why are you so afraid?” He murmurs to himself, as if this is the most perplexing question in the world.
“Because you’re a monster.” You hiss, although your eyes flash like a deer’s next to his. “You’ve done such..horrible things. I don’t understand it-“
“No, no, no-“ Kylo interjects over the sound of your pained whines, as the Force of his is used against you. “You don’t need to understand it. I’ll teach you- I’m more than willing to show you-“
“No.” Your growl echoes around the room as the reverberations of the Force fill your bones.
It’s a compelling drive: yours against his. And he won’t give up, but neither will you.
“Why?” Kylo’s expression contorts to one of hurt, only for a fraction of a second.
“You..don’t need to show me..anything.” You struggle to get the words out as the compulsion of the Force flattens you down somehow.
“I’ve seen for myself how you are! I understand-“
“You understand nothing!” Kylo outbursts suddenly, moving with lightning speed to grip your jaw in one hand.
“You understand..nothing.” He repeats, his eyes blazing with the need of it all now. “You have no idea how long I’ve waited for this. How long I’ve waited to have you.”
