Chapter Text
"Lee Felix is a good person."
That's what they all say when asked about this blond man, who is so intriguing in their normal, watching eyes. Locals often compare him to a fairy due to his slightly pointy ears and natural freckles all over his face, as if he were the whole Milky Way.
But just like the Milky Way, Felix is a mystery who will never be fully understood by those who don't know it yet. He is an enigma to most—a puzzle that will always be missing a piece.
If you ask his neighbors or anyone who lives in that small block, no one knows why he lives in that clammy old apartment with that imbecile alpha who doesn't move a muscle to help the neighborhood or even his own omega. They all knew that the alpha—a guy named Sangwoo—was just a bum who didn't deserve that beautiful, kind and awfully good omega like Felix by his side.
But a single question always echoed in everyone's mind:
Did Felix know that he was worth so much more than that?
🌌
Felix wakes up with the warmth of the sunshine entering the room through the glass window that was slightly open. Not a really safe thing to do, but there was no choice since the air conditioning was broken and the fixer didn't come yet.
As he rolls to his side, he notices that the left side of the bed was empty, and suddenly, the warmth from the sunshine turns cold. He doesn't know why he's so surprised—his mornings are always like this.
But Felix smiles. He can't be upset about it, because Sangwoo is a wonderful alpha who always try his hardest to keep their relationship stable. He should just stop being a whiny omega who can't put himself in his place like food on their table by working two jobs, so he's fine with it.
Already up, he waddles towards outside towards the small bathroom so that he can take care of his hygiene and, right after he's changed and taken care of, he eats his breakfast—a cup of cold strawberry yogurt and some pancakes that Sangwoo leaves ready for him—and gets out of the apartment, ready to go to work.
Felix works at the flower shop that's six blocks away, so he usually walks there. Everyone in the neighborhood already knows him, so he's always greeting them all with a huge smile on his face. Sometimes, when he's not running late, he even stops to gossip with a few other omegas and older aunties.
Unfortunately, today wasn't one of those days. He wasn't going to be late, but he saw a random omega whose water had just broke, so he stayed there with them until a cab arrived to bring them to a nearest hospital. By the time he arrives at work, he's dripping with sweat as he pushes the glass door that had a "CLOSED" sign open, seeing his co-worker inside already.
"Huff… huff… G-good morning," he breathes out, hands on his knees as the sweat drips down his forehead. "A-am I too late..?"
"No, not at all—" The other omega begins, his back turned to Felix as they take care of one of the sunflowers that weren't looking too good.
As they finally turns around, they gasp with widened eyes, seeing the other's state. "Holy— what the hell happened to you? You look like a wet chick."
"Thank you for the compliment, Seungmin," Felix says while rolling his eyes, walking towards the counter to grab his apron. "You're always so nice to me."
"No, but what the fuck happened? Why are you sweating buckets right now?" He asks, walking towards the other omega, pulling a handkerchief from the small pocket of his apron, wiping the sweat from Felix's forehead with it. "You're not in pre-heat, right? You know how Minho hyung gets when—"
"Seungmin, I'm not in pre-heat," Felix responds with a small smile creeping on his face. He then begins to explain the reason why he was so soaked with sweat.
"Ah, I see. But you didn't have to come running like that. You only live like, four blocks away and the shop doesn't even open so soon," the omega said like it was no big deal, watering some of the plants. "Plus, it's not like you would be fired or something, your brother owns this flower shop. But if it was me? Minho would fire me on the spot."
Felix chuckled. "Come on, we both know that he wouldn't, you're just being dramatic. If hyung didn't like you, you wouldn't even be working here in the first place. Minho likes you, stupid."
The freckled omega saw the way his friend's cheeks flushed, a dry cough coming out of his throat.
"Don't be ridiculous, Lix," he walks towards the door, turning the sign to indicate that the shop was now open. "Hyung doesn't like me."
Felix looks at him with an arched eyebrow. "Seungmin, I know my brother, I grew up with him. His scent gets all sappy when you smile while talking about your nerd stuff."
Seungmin rolls his eyes. "It's not 'nerd stuff', just baseball."
The blond shrugs, "That's nerd stuff to me."
Before they could bicker some more, a client—a nice, old lady with curly hair and sunglasses—arrived, leaving the bickering for later.
Something in his guts told Felix that today was going to be a full day.
🌌
True to his thoughts (and his guts), today was quite a full day at the flower shop. He and Seungmin were honestly exhausted by the time that they were ready to leave and he couldn't wait to go home, take a warm bath and sleep profoundly until tomorrow morning.
Saying his goodbyes to Seungmin, he began to walk home calmly as the Sun was no longer there in the sky, giving all of its space to the graceful Moon and stars and the fresh night breeze. Sangwoo must be home already, and Felix just can't wait to cuddle with his alpha.
Arriving at his apartment and opening the door slowly, he smiles as he sees his alpha sat on the couch, watching a random show on the TV as he drank a beer. Sangwoo notices that the omega had arrived as he hears the door closing, a smile on his face.
"Welcome home, pipsqueak," he says to him as he watches Felix approaching. "How was your day?"
"It was good," Felix answered, nuzzling against Sangwoo's collarbone, the tip of his nose against the scent glands—the comforting scent of wood filled the omega's lungs as he did so. The scent was barely there, but he didn't pay attention to that at the moment—and lifted his head to look at him. "How about yours?"
"It was good too, but it got better now that you're here with me," Sangwoo spoke, cradling Felix's face and leaving a peck in his lips, making the omega release a sweetening scent—ripened strawberries. With his eyes still fixed on him, Felix noticed that Sangwoo looked good tonight; too good, even.
Without thinking, he suddenly pulled his boyfriend closer, kissing his lips and tasting his mouth as his tongue darts out to touch the alpha's. The taste of the beer on Sangwoo's tonsils makes Felix's inner self gag—he hated beer with all of his soul—but he loved the alpha way too much to let that fact become an obstacle.
The blond moans as the alpha breaks their kiss once more, diving in to press his face against his freckled neck, his own hot tongue sliding there as the suckled onto the skin to taste the ripe strawberry flavor. His big, sturdy hands are suddenly too cold against Felix's waist—or maybe Felix is the one who's too hot at the moment.
It must be the second option, because as soon as the alpha leaves a dark hickey right there, he pulls away to look into Felix's eyes, his own being dark with want.
"You're a bit hot," he murmurs with his low, sexy voice. "I think you're in your pre-heat, baby."
Felix huffs, pouting as he leans in again to kiss the side of Sangwoo's nose.
"Seungmin said the same thing," he murmurs back. "Maybe it came early this time."
Felix's heats were very irregular, a characteristic that came with him ever since his first heat. When it first happened, the doctor said that it was a very common thing and that he shouldn't be worried about that, so Felix was used to the awful feeling of his heat always arriving at the most random moments, like one time a few years ago that it suddenly came when he was hiking with his older brother.
"Do you want me to help you through it?" Sangwoo asked, already caressing the omega's bare hips under the sweater he was wearing.
Felix nods desperately, already feeling a small amount of slick run down his legs under the soft material of the pants he wore, already getting ready for his boyfriend. For some reason, his heat seems to be arriving quickly than it would usually do, but he doesn't worry too much about it—he just wants Sangwoo's love (and knot).
He barely remembers what happened next as his mind starts to become way too misty because because of the warmth of the heat that invaded not only inside, but outside of his body as well. At one moment he's making out with his alpha on the couch, then at the next, he's laid down on a bed under that same alpha moaning his name and shuddering each time that his sweet spot was hit and, before he knows it, he's already being knotted full by Sangwoo.
After the first wave of heat passed, Felix's body was glistening with sweat as he was laying on his side, looking at Sangwoo's scratched back as the alpha was sat on the edge of the mattress, a noticeable proud smile on the omega's face as if he was saying "I was the one who did it".
If only he knew that he wasn't the only omega who had the so-called "privilege" of seeing the scratched back of Moon Sangwoo.
