Chapter Text
A young couple arrived at a gate near the foot of a mountain. This mountain seemed plain to the eye, but there was a powerful array over that mountain to hide what’s within. There was a world of magic that the cultivation world had not yet seen. It was not yet ready to see, and it may never be ready to see at all.
“Daughter, what brings you back here?” A woman asked as she stepped through the gate. As she stepped through, the barrier rippled like water and blue glitter. She was a bit older, perhaps in her thirties. She had silver hair and piercing sea blue eyes.
“I have something important to ask Mother,” the younger woman said.
“What is it?” The older woman asked.
“These are my children but something is wrong with the little girl, she has a weaker constitution and my husband and I found she has no cultivation base,” the younger woman said, “the little boy is fine. I ask that you take the girl and help her. I do not know if it will be safe for her to live with us as we wish.”
“I will help her, but this may be the last time you see her,” the older woman said.
“Her name is Tianshi,” the younger woman said.
“What a gorgeous name,” the older woman said as she took the little bundled baby, “I will look after her.”
The woman watched her daughter walk away, not once looking back. The elder could see tears in her daughter’s eyes. She looked down at the little baby in her arms, “I have a feeling there is more to you than we think. I promise to help and protect you, little one. You will see your family again one day. If anything, I will hope you can at least see your brother again.”
