Work Text:
“Nagi, get up. We need to go, practice starts soon.”
“Uhhgg, five more minutes.” Seishiro replied, turning around in his bed.
Reo sighed, but there was a fond smile on his face.
“Come on, you know Prince will be mad if we’re late.”
“We could skip breakfast.”
“We both know you’re not surviving practice on an empty stomach.”
“Mmmm you’re right.”
Seishiro started getting up, moving slowly like each of his limbs weighed a ton. The purple haired boy waited for him, standing at the door of their room.
“Let’s go, Nagi.” He said once the other was finally up and walking.
“Reo.” He said suddenly.
“Yes?”
“Call me Seishiro, please.”
Reo had expected many things, but definitely not that. He tried to stutter out a reply, fumbling his words.
“You- want me to call you Seishiro? Why now? I’ve always called you Nagi.”
“The way you said it when you were mad at me… I didn’t like it.” Seishiro admitted, looking at his feet like saying all this took so much energy from him he couldn’t even keep his head up. “So now that we’re not fighting anymore… I don’t want you to keep calling me that.”
Reo’s surprised expression softened into a smile. Lately, Seishiro had been trying his best to be more open about what he wanted, to communicate with Reo. It was new, and most of the time he didn’t know what to say. But it was a welcomed change.
“I’ll call you Seishiro then.” He replied softly. His words made the white haired boy blush.
He’d wondered how it’d feel to hear Reo say his name but this… This was better than he could have ever imagined.
“You’re blushing because I said your name? You’re so cute, Seishiro.” Of course, that made him blush harder.
“I’m not cute…”
“That’s right, you’re the cutest.” Reo replied, smiling. Seishiro couldn’t help but smile back.
Neither of them could understand how they’d survived separated for so long. Not when being together felt this good.
Without thinking too much, Reo leaned in and lightly kissed Seishiro, leaving the other speechless again.
“Good morning kiss.” Reo explained with a smile, while Seishiro just stood there still red. He didn’t seem to mind however.
“Get a room!” Chigiri yelled from his bed, where he was sitting brushing his hair.
“This is our room.” Reo replied with a smirk.
“Yeah and also mine.” It was clear, however, that their roommate didn’t really mind the display of affection. He was smiling after all.
“Breakfast?” Seishiro asked. He then hesitated for a second before grabbing Reo’s hand.
Once again, Reo was stunned. But this time it quickly turned into a wide grin, one of those Seishiro lived to see.
“Breakfast. Don’t wanna be late for practice.”
“Or Prince will make us run extra laps. What a hassle.”
The two of them walked out of the room, hands linked.
